What an amazing find. Fabulous food and an elegant and charming site which has been lovingly restored and presented beautifully. Loved it so much we booked again as soon as we got home!

The whole experience was great, well organised, the staff attentive and the food I would describe as above the average pub grub level. Whilst the choice is limited it is very tastey. If you order drinks onboard, please be aware that you are paying a 10% service charge not just on the drinks but also on the cost of the initial cruise tickets. So if you order say 2 non-alcoholic drinks the service charge will be more than the cost of your drinks. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience of travelling on the Countess lunchtime cruise, a vey pleasant way of spending some time in Stratford and would recommend doing it but the cost can escalate.

Food was very good. My sea bream was first class. Service a little scatty to start with but staff very attentive during meal. Explanation of drink pricing with prix fixe menu was rather unclear at start. But an enjoyable experience before theatre visit.

Excellent service. Very personable service from receptionist and from restaurant Nafiza who was efficient and friendly. Food was superb, fresh and cooked beautifully. The restaurant and bar and other facilities are superb. However the reason for 3 stars for ambience is the restaurant lighting was too bright and there should be some background music. The conversation of others was very audible. Low level music does help mask conversations and more so forces people to talk quieter. The lighting didn’t help as it was on full brightness level so it’s wasn't relaxed and other guests thought they were at home and were talking very loud. I hope this can be remedied as this is very minor suggestion but will transform the restaurant. We will definitely be coming back.
