Our first time coming here and it was just amazing! Especially a place to celebrate our second night as a married couple! Will definitely be coming back!
Firstly I am a total fan of Chef Lisa Dahl so I was upset and surprised when Cucina Rutsica didn't live up to my high expectations from both the cuisine and the service.
Let me mention that the restaurant is beautiful, the ambience perfect and certainly a great spot for a date night.
Now to the not so good.
I ordered the Burrata Plata and one of the specials of the day - lamb, which I was very excited to try. After 15 minutes the waitress came back to inform me that the Burrata Plata was sold out - no problem, I ordered a Caprese salad. While fresh, it was nothing special and no different than a Caprese at any other restaurant.
After about 30 minutes more the waitress informed me that the Lamb was also sold out. I think that what bothered me was that she was very unapologetic about this and just handed me the menu and suggested that I choose something else.
Meanwhile she had forgotten my partners choice for main course. Feeling rather let down I ordered a chicken parmesan option which was also nothing special to write home about.
Service makes or breaks what could be an amazing evening regardless of the quality of the dish. In this case the waitress was MIA for long stretches of time while She only had 6 tables to wait on.
I will try Cucina Rustica again with the hope that it will be different next time. Out of all of the Dahl Group restaurants - this is the only one to not meet my expectations.
Too much focus on turning tables. For what you pay they operate more like fast servcie restaurant. Servcie is great but barly finished my salad and entree was right in front of me. Trying to get you in and out fast!
It was the best restaurant we have gone to in all of Sedona. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, and the place is just beautiful. Highly recommend
Thank you to the staff at Cucina Rustica for making my Cousins Birthday so special. Thank you for accommodating our custom cake we brought in. You saved the evening from the unfortunate customer service experience we had at Elote.
10/10 - Would definitely recommend Cucina Rustica, not only for the service and incredible staff but the ambience. It’s one of the most romantic spaces in Sedona. ♥️
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful! Our waiter was also very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
There is not an item on the menu that is not wonderfully prepared and wonderful. We had to cancel Christmas dinner there last year because of illness and we made it up with this dinner.
Highly recommend.
Dinner was enjoyable as always,
Over rated, calamari greasy, very oily, main dish just average with average size portion. Certainly not worthy of the price. Server not knowledgeable and very slow service awaiting bar drinks. Too much attitude for an average meal
Excellent authentic Italian meal in Sedona. Everything is made to order from scratch. House limoncello was on point.
My last visit was in 2012 but I found the restaurant even better than ever and this time we brought friends who love it just as much as we do. Very professional service. Authentic food and an atmosphere like being on a palazzo in Italy. We will return on our next trip to Sedona for sure.
Fantastic food. We had the special sea bass which was delicious. We will be back again.
Beautiful decor, great food and nice ambiance. Live music was great
Always a lively experience. We especially enjoy the ambience & the guitar player who is terrific.
Already looking forward to our next visit and that says it all!
We celebrated our 29 year wedding anniversary in Sedona with dinner here. Our table for 2 was prepared with rose petals sprinkled on the table. Wonderful service by Kaitlyn, excellent food, and we were treated to free dessert to help us celebrate! Love music as well. Highly recommend!!
Waitress service was excellent. Food was delivered to table hot. Room was very quiet.
Great place, great service, great food and wine! Wish the prices were somewhat lower but the place is really great.
Brooke was an incredible server and the kitchen prepared off menu items for us that were fabulous!
I loved the ambiance of this restaurant! The food itself was amazing! Best authentic Italian food I have ever had. Service was amazing! We will definitely be back.
This was a lovely birthday dinner at our favorite AZ restaurant. Always fresh and delicious in Lisa’s kitchen.
Delicious. Accommodating. Stuart and Jen, 5 stars. Have the burrata......
One of Sedona’s best restaurants. Highly recommend.
Outstanding! Same owners as Maripossa but blows it out of the water, service, food is 10x better than Maripossa. Justin from Daytona was exceptional! One of Sedonas best!Spaghetti Bolognese and lasagna best we have ever had and we are big foodies.
Food was delicious. Service prompt and attentive. The lamb was amazing. I only got three stocks of asparagus and really didn’t get very many potatoes. My husband’s chicken had larger portions. When they served hot tea with scrumptious bread pudding dessert the waiter poured the water in the cup before the teabag was in it. He didn’t leave the teapot. Obviously they don’t serve very much hot tea because it came with a lemon but no cream or sugar. Definitely not proper tea. I definitely will be back.
Although the wait staff were courteous, the service was exceedingly slow. The deliciousness of the food was above average, but not superlative. The cost was high compared to the quality of the food; therefore the overall value was low.
Lasagna was incredible! Service was great, had a wonderful time
The restaurant is charming. It feels like you're in Italy on a quiet street. It's owned by Lisa Dahl, a world famous chef. However, the food is just good, not outstanding, and the prices are through the roof. $36 for ordinary seafood linguine? $28 for ordinary chicken parmesan? My advice - go to Dahl & DeLuca, the flagship restaurant for much higher quality at similar prices.
The food was second to a Staff that provided amazing service. The Chef obviously is very talented and uses only the freshest ingredients to create some incredible dishes and flavors. We will return to try other creations and enjoy a wonderful atmosphere.
We were delighted from the moment we walked into Cucina's. The ambience and décor were very romantic. The soft music was subtle and conversations could be heard. We were seated in a corner booth which allowed for us to be close. Service by Dillon was impeccable. After the first bite we realized that we had been served the wrong dish. But Dillon corrected the error and informed the actual recipients that their meals would be right out after he explained the issue. Our drinks were very well made. Dillon also recommend that we have dessert and we did share one. The entire meal as well as the evening was storybook!
They gave us a wonderful table. The service was perfect. The live music was enjoyable and not intrusive. And the food was fabulous.
Lovely spot for a romantic dinner...very dim lighting but relaxing. We had the Ceasar salad, the Greek platter and the Steak. The platter was just okay..nothing special but the Steak was out of this world delicious. The only wish was the 3 tiny sprigs of broccoli could have been more abundant. It looked like garnish only. Will definitely have a steak there again though ;)
My pork was extremely tough. Could hardly cut it with my knife. That probably needed sharpened also. The salmon was over cooked and dry. Service was excellent. They music was very appropriate and enjoyed. Will not go back again. Attempted to go to another Dahl group restaurant. Butterfly Burger. They gave us a wait time of 90 minutes. So I put our name on the list. After I drove away I realized the restaurant closed in an hour. So we went and found another place to eat. This restaurant chain may have a world class chef who owns them but her expertise is not being passed on to those that she hires. You may want to be Leary of all the restaurant in this group.
My favorite restaurant in the Village of Oak Creek. Amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing ambiance (love the live music!!) ...and the staff is perfect. I've never been disappointed--instead I always want to go back the next night for more!
Our celebration of my Wife's birthday was an experience to cherish, thanks to Cucina Rustica. The service was gracious and appropriately attentive; the ambiance most pleasing and comforting; and the food left us yearning to return as soon as possible. My wife had the Angelica - linguine with prawns sautéed with garlic, lemon and white wine - and I, the Vitello Saltimbocca - sautéed scaloppini of veal with prosciutto, mozzarella, and Marsala wine sauce with capellini. All of that was topped off with their delicious pistachio gelato. We highly recommend the Cucina Rustica experience.
What a beautiful restaurant. Great ambiance, service and food. I do suggest that they serve bread and olive oil before the meal. The salad dressing although delicious, was tart. A serving of fresh bread would help tone that down.
Very impressive restaurant. I would highly recommend
I tried veal for the first time last night. DELICIOUS. We were thoroughly impressed with our dinners. The tomato bisque hits the spot every time. Without fail.
It was Valentine's Day, our waitress kept yawning in our face(with her mask on). She had zero energy and seemed uninterested in helping us. She motioned she works another job and kept yawning I ordered a drink and it never came out before dinner , so i just canceled it. I ordered the lamb, it was ok only the outside had flavor, the inside was just ok. My overall experience was just ok, waitress kept forgetting things and i had to kept asking for items. I ordered a cappuccino. I had to ask for sugar and spoon to stir it. I've been here several times, but this was my worst experience This place has def lost its good rating with me
