When you dine at Cucina Rustica the world is a million miles away.
Excellent service from the time we arrived to the end of the meal. Staff were very helpful regarding menu choices, Service was not rushed and the food was presented very nicely. Three people, three different entrees each with its own special flavor and taste. Very enjoyable evening.we will return on our next visit to the area.
This restaurant is awesome! Each time we visit we are more and more impressed with the food, the service and the ambiance.
Family get together. Excellent food and the atmosphere was great.
The food was fantastic and the restaurant was beautiful. Make sure you make a reservation. Our only complaint was the server did not bring us second cutlery and when I asked I got a knife and had to share with my husband and then she never brought him his second drink. Annoying but not the end of the world we still had a nice dinner together.
Was out of town sightseeing and found this restaurant on-line. All the positive reviews were correct. Absolutely superb quality Italian food. Had the meatballs with marinara sauce for appetizer. Best since I left New York. Omg. Quality, quality and more quality. Presentation was great and staff was timely and professional.
The service was beyond reproach, the ambiance was like being at your grandmother's home. And the food was excellent. Can't wait to come back and visit and try the other restaurants.
Walking distance from the Hilton Resort. Perfect end of day destination.
The veal picatta was not warm, let alone hot. Lauren was an excellent waitress ~ She took the food away and someone brought hot food 6 or 7 minutes later. Christopher was a smart aleck about bringing us butter - He wasn't funny, just annoying.
What a pleasant evening! It’s a beautiful restaurant in a lovely place. The sea bass and gigli pasta Siciliano were to die for. Don’t miss this dining opportunity!
We have eaten at Cucina Rustica many times. It is our go to place for special celebrations. The service was prompt and friendly without being intrusive. Two of us had Chilean Sea Bass which was prepared to perfections-moist and fresh. One of us had lasagna and another had Spaghetti Bolognese. Two classics that couldn't have been better. Many people on the patio enjoying the classical guitar. Always a winner!
We had an amazing night here. The ambiance is amazing...the dining room is partitioned, which really helps with the noise level, and the decoration is fantastic. The food is also great...highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner!
We have been celebrating our anniversaries at Cucina Rustica since they opened about 15 years ago. The food is always superb but what I most love is the ambience. It’s more than a meal - it’s a dining experience.
Beautiful restaurant! Loved the ambiance! Loved the food ! And great service !
The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the waitstaff well trained. The ambiance was just right, in a gorgeous space, decorated with thought and style.
Great Service by Brendan. Food was very good but not out of this world. Atmosphere was ok. A noisy birthday group spoiled the experience- else a bit artificial. Overall good value for money and would return.
Great dinner as usual. Service was great and accommodating to our needs.
We took my mon, daughter and granddaughter here for dinner while visiting Sedona. Everything was delightful and they were very accommodating to our wants and needs!
We hadn’t been to the restaurant in a few years. The food was very good, service was a little slow at times but nothing that was a problem, and the environment was very cozy and casual. We enjoyed our food and evening. The wine list was nice as well. We enjoyed French and Italian wines.
Approaching the restaurant from outside the place looked great. We checked in right on time and were asked to take a seat. Meanwhile, another couple came and got seated right away. Eventually we were asked to follow the hostess to our table. There were plenty of empty tables so not sure why we had to wait. Then after sitting down we were asked to move to another table. Our waitress was efficient but didn’t have much charm or personality. We started with a pretty average calamari. Our two entrees were very good: I had the Farro Risotto and she had the Eggplant Parmesan. Some of the desserts looked good but we were too full to try them. Loved the live music. Hope they can work out their problems at the hostess stand.
Excellent food, service and ambiance
I love this place for a fun evening out or to celebrate a special occasion. It’s always a win!
One of the most magical dining experiences we’ve ever had! The ambiance was so romantic and charming, inside and out. The service, cuisine, live guitar music all created an experience we’ll never forget. As with Mariposa, the acoustics were so well planned and executed that we could hear each other well and don’t have to shout over loud music or clanging plates. As I’m hearing impaired, I really appreciate that. Restaurants these days are generally much too noisy and you can’t even have a conversation over the noise. The guitar music was perfect background music to provide an atmosphere of romance and elegance, yet it didn’t overpower us. The menu had so many delectable selections that it was hard to choose. LOVE the fried artichoke hearts! The tiramisu was melt in your mouth divine. The veal piccata was the best I’ve ever tasted. We bought the chef/owner’s book. We met the chef Lisa Dahl and she graciously signed our book. We look forward to returning to Sedona and experiencing her other restaurants.
AS USUAL, the dishes here were superb, the atmosphere gentle and graceful, the service prompt and friendly and the music soothing.
Food was excellent, service was awesome, Melissa was wonderful, the decor was vey unique
We chose this restaurant based upon TripAdvisor and open table reviews. The staff is friendly and the decor is nice with live music and a low noise level. Cocktails were excellent. Unfortunately our experience went rapidly downhill as the food was mediocre at best. Chicken scarpariello was swimming in oil and loaded with onions. Linguine Angelica had good shrimp but the pasta was overcooked and mushy. Overall it was about on par with Olive Garden with a nicer ambiance.
Outstanding authentic Italian food, quite impressed with the quality.
Excellent food, waiter was a bit scattered, forgot my husband’s wine until main course was finished, apologized and was attentive otherwise. Tables are very close together, difficult to have a conversation. Portions ample, nice for a special evening, otherwise pricey.
This was a disappointing end to what was otherwise a fantastic week in Sedona. Though it was no fault of the waiter's since he was given 4 tables (one of them very large) within about 10 minutes, the service was slow. The description of the dish did not really match what we received, and it was way overpriced for the quality.
The dining room had been rearranged for some party in another room, so the chairs at our table were too tall and too high. If they had been the regular chairs, the ambiance and decor would have been quite beautiful.
Perhaps we just ordered the wrong thing and went at the wrong time. I simply know that we did not get a taste of Italy, nor did we get (as far as value and service) what we paid for that evening.
Loved the ambience; the menu was varied and GF choices available; lovely soft live guitar music; food was exceptional; server was very professional but seemed a little stuffy for us❤️
I had the best eggplant and capellini that I have ever had. This restaurant is exceptional.
Good food. Nice atmosphere. Enjoyed the classical guitarist. Reservations recommended.
Great service and great food.
Lasagna was delivered still cold and no one ever checked back after delivering the food.
Atmosphere was quite lovely.
This was very disappointing
We ordered, wrong cutlery laid out, I got a mouth full of wine in my glass, we were laughing about it being an optical illusion when another waiter whisked it away and apologised. My husband didn’t get the main he ordered. When we finished his arrived. My son ordered lasagne - which contained no meat and just tasted of fennel/ no browning- we think it had been microwaved. My chicken parmigiana nearly cold in middle, pasta soft, more like an airline meal.
This is really was very poor.
Food, ambiance, service were fantastico!!! We were so impressed! It was our first visit and we are planning to go again this week!
Cucina Rustica is always a "must" when we visit Sedona! This year, every aspect of our dinner deserves five stars! The service, the patio service, the food, the music... from beginning to end, it was wonderful! We enjoyed the lasagna and a gigli pasta dish! YUM! And of course, the bread and the dipping sauce are amazing! We will be back again in 2020! :)
We had a really nice time.
Came out West to visit Family.
I read the reviews. The only complaint
people seemed to have was your Server
disappearing on you. I made sure not to
let our Server leave us more than twice
before ordering. So, knowing what to do in
advance made sure we would not have a
disappearing Server problem.
Taking that into account, the 4 of us had
an awesome time. Food was great. Ambiance
was great. 4 people will spend $200 easy.
But, it was a special occasion, and everything
was great. Again, make sure you don’t
dawdle before ordering your food.
Very nice restaurant, however not everything on the menu is great. Had the lobster in vodka sauce, too small portion for the price and ordinary flavor. Others in our party were very pleased with their entree.
Good food, long wait
One of the best all around dining experiences we've had, a wonderful way to celebrate a 30 year anniversary.
