When you dine at Cucina Rustica the world is a million miles away.
Really fantastic food and great service. Ambience is very good as long as you don't have a seat facing the parking lot. Highly recommend.
Great ambiance , excellent service and delicious food. Well worth the short drive from Sedona !
We had an early reservation so the restaurant was delightfully quiet and lovely. Excellent food and ambiance. We visit each year and have always had a great meal.
The food and service are terrific. But...both times the dim lighting creates real discomfort trying to read the menu. If you are not seated directly under one of the wall sconces you struggle to read. Both nights I saw 5-6 tables within my view have to pull out cellphones and turn on the flashlight function....exactly what we did. This applied to a wide range of ages, not just older people.
Visiting the area all I can say it was beautiful and food was extraordinary comment have been better
As a fan of Mariposa, I was eager to try another restaurant created by the same chef, and was not disappointed. The food and service were excellent and we loved the fact it was quiet enough to have a conversation, so rare these days. The menu offers a wide array of choices. The grilled artichoke with basil aioli was fantastic.
One of the nicest restaurants I have eaten at in Sedona area. The ambiance sets this place apart from others. Great service and excellent food. We ate everything and left clean plates. I highly recommend trying this place.
Great dining experience
Our first experience at Cucina Rustica though we have eaten at other of Lisa Dahl’s Sedona restaurants. Located in a strip shopping center, you would think you’ve entered an Italian villa. An all-around great experience. Excellent service, great food. A very good wine list.
Very good service, great food and very nice wine. These folks know how to please.
Beautiful dining inside, food was ok but not great.
Superb first visit! Keith was the epitome of the fine wait person, almost anticipating our every need request. I enjoyed the Alaskan halibut, she tried the veal scollopini. Both met our high anticipation! Made for a great date!
Outstanding italian dishes - combination of trusted familiar dishes and a nice mix of unique original recipes.
Wait staff is excellent- Tyler was attentive without being intrusive- great place for a special occasion.
Great Italian restaurant. We go there from Phoenix several times a year. We were just there for my wife's birthday. The food was excellent. Tyler our waiter was superb and we valued his opinions of the specials. We'll be back again for the amazing food.
It was our last night on vacation in Sedona and we wanted a special dinner. We loved absolutely everything about this place! We had amazing authentic fresh food and excellent service! The restaurant is upscale and incredibly beautiful inside and the live musician played many of our favorite tunes. Our waiter answered all our questions and we thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers, dinner, drinks and dessert! A real treat and wonderful way to spend our last night in lovely Sedona! Thank you! <3
Good food, main course (veal) was a bit on the salty side. Excellent service provided by our waiter, Eric! Overall I would recommend this restaurant and would go back next time I visit Sedona
We visited Cucina Rustica as a family of four who was celebrating a birthday. We were seating about 15-20 minutes after our reservation time (no problem). Our table was good, if not a little cramped/too close to the tables next to us. The Caesar Salad for the table was good. The bread was good and the olive oil dip was tasty (a little bit of a kick to it which I liked, but my kids not-so-much). Dinner was good with perfect portion sizes (not too much and not too little).
Likes included the ambiance, there was a gentleman playing classical guitar which was at a great volume so that it fit perfectly in the background while also allowing us to converse (I wish more restaurants would employ the same live music volume level as Cucina Rustica), the food was good, wine list was good (a little pricey, but it's Sedona so I understand) and the attitude of the service staff was great.
Improvements could be made to the speed of service (attentiveness was a little spotty - water glasses empty for a while, plates could've been cleared more quickly, check took some time to receive, etc.) as well as the arrangement of the tables.
Overall we enjoyed our dinner and would definitely recommend.
Cucina Rustica is the perfect place to celebrate the New Year!
Frankly, we were surprised at how nice Cucina Rustica really is. It starts with the decor which is nothing short of amazing. The service was top-notch and very attentive. The food was even better. Sedona has three very good Italian restaurants, at least that we've tried, there may be more. Definitely worth a return trip.
Excellent food, wine and dessert. Great staff and service. Quaint and cozy
Wonderful restaurant! Visiting from Montana & this restaurant & food were a highlight of the trip. Atmosphere was amazing. Food delicious. 2 of us were celebrating bdays & were given dessert . Drinks were amazing. Staff was outstanding. Highly recommend!!!
They lose a star because the Angel Hair Pasta served with the Cioppino was over cooked/mushy. Angel Hair is probably too thin to serve with this dish, luguini would have been a safer choice.
Pasta was over cooked and service was lacking
A delightful dining experience for a birthday celebration.
While the restaurant appeared to be very crowded with many people waiting to be seated we were seated immediately, possibly because we made our reservation through Open Table? The food was great - very good Italian.
Always an enjoyable meal lovely holiday decorations added to the nice evening
Great food great service.
Eggplant and veal were watery and the pasta was gummy. The famed mother red sauce was flavorless. The artichoke and sauce to dip the bread in was good.
Beautiful place. Service was excellent and most of the meal was excellent. The entrees were a little disappointing as the fresh pasta was not great... it was a little mushy and mealy. The calamari, salad, and dessert were great. The wine and coffee were also excellent.
Food, service and ambience was perfect.
We were ignored for about 15 mins after being seated, but our server was busy w several big tables. Because we were just two, we were frequently forgotten about. His right-hand girl was better than him! Food was expensive but absolutely perfect. Everything from polpette appetizer to chicken parm and veal Marsala was delicious. Also had lavender panna cotta for dessert which was HUGE wine pours fair (per glass). Will def return next time in Sedona!
Wonderful service, delicious food. We will be back!
The food here was tasty, but a bit pricey to be feeling ill afterwards, and definitely needed to be properly cooked, as the salmon was half raw in the center.
We looked forward to returning to this lovely restaurant. Unfortunately our experience was spoiled soon after we arrived. We were a bit early and took the opportunity to wait for our table at the bar.
I was looking forward to a glass of champagne to start the evening. One bar tender handed us the bar menu and then disappeared the other bar tender ignored us completely continuing to dry glasses. After 15 minutes the original bar tender returned and asked us why we hadn’t asked the other bar tender for service!!! We said we tried but he ignored us.
I felt deeply disappointed by the rudeness and inconsiderate behavior. The rest of the evening was fine , attentive waiter good food. But I went to bed angry.
I did send them an email about my experience but have not heard back. Too bad
Lydia was our waitress and was very attentive unprofessional.
First class restaurant, owned by celebrity chef Lisa Dahl. Great variety of food, all of which was delicious. Pretty and unique inside, good service. Outstanding food and presentation. Prices upscale but fair for this type of dining experience.
We went here for Christmas dinner. The decorations were beautifully done and had a man playing guitar and singing, was perfect volume and ambiance. Our waiter was friendly and paid attention to detail. Our food was great and had lots of options was difficult to choose. My dad had the Lasagna and was superb!
I would go back again!
Christmas dinner is hard to do but they did a good job and the service staff at all levels were very attentive and cheery even though they were having to work on a holiday. Menu was not fixed but had limited and new items versus the regular menu which was a little disappointing since we were from out of town and had looked forward to trying some of the regular menu items. We still found a good selection and had a good meal - hot this time and served in good time. Very cozy and warm for a holiday evening.
Excellent food and very knowledgeable and attentive server. My dining companion left her phone and wallet at the restaurant. The next day both were safe and sound.
The food was great! As was our waiter, Jose, and the rest of the wait staff. However, we were arrived at the restaurant, Shelly the hostess was unwelcoming, abrasive and rude. It really started us off on the wrong foot and set a less than pleasant tone for the evening.
