Good food, good service. I’d go here again.
our dinner exceeded our expectations. The ambience was absolutely beautiful. The wine list by the glass was very reasonable so we chose to drink that way rather than by the bottle. We started by sharing the appetizer of the evening, fresh buffalo mozzarella with marinated mushroom, small roasted tomatoes and marinated favs beans served on a bed of arugula and housemade focaccia bread, this could of been my dinner it had so many flavors and certainly big enough to share. We each had the Angelica pasta dish, prawns with angle hair pasta with white wine butter and I loved the additions of the tomatoes in it. Im still thinking of my dinner the next today.
Food was fair. Very similar menu as Dhal & Di Luca. Neither one had a lot of flavor
We had an excellent dinner at Cucina Rustica celebrating our Anniversary! The food was delicious, our server Forest was superb, as well as the rest of the staff. We will definitely go back!
Everything was great, personally I would use different candles, that’s a minor thing but all I could smell was the oil from the candle.
Our server David was outstanding. He made excellent recommendations and our meals were simply amazing.
Food was amazing!!
Everything was fantastic. I love eating there!
Great anniversary celebration! The first table we were given was right in the middle of the room so we asked if we could have a more private table and they were so kind. Gave us a beautiful table where we could sit side by side dimmed the lights and even out rose petals on the table our dessert had a “happy anniversary “ chocolate on it! Food was amazing. Highly recommend!!
Beautiful space, good selection of entrees, great service, a little expensive.
We enjoyed our meals. The artichoke appetizer was delish! The waiter, David, was extremely professional. He was very helpful when it came to deciding how to deal with my food allergies and which dishes might work. Food was delicious.
We have been to Cucina Rustica many times over the years. One of our favorites. These comments are meant to be helpful. Appetizers were not served at the same time (party of two). One person finished before the other arrived. Many of the mussels were not opened. Entrees arrived before table was cleared and we needed to hold our first course dishes so that the entrees could be served. Steak was under seasoned. Birthday greetings were not mentioned.
These should be easy fixes. Just a little more attention to detail.

I was not impressed with the food options or the quality of the plate presentation.
Cucina Rustica has been our goto anniversary restaurant for several years. We have not been disappointed and we have always been treated as special guests. Lisa's luscious Lasagna always delights my wife and i had one of the specials, lobster with chive sauce over linguine. Great food and creme Brule topped off a wonderful evening.
We've been going to Cucina since we've lived here, almost 18 years...it really is one of the best in the area and one of the best we've even eaten at. Staff is professional and fun and even though the virus has changed things, to a small degree, the level and quality of service and food has not changed...
We had the best service from the moment we arrived until we left. The Manhatttans we ordered from the bar were perfect and generous pours. My husband had the Sea Bass and Scallop special which was delicious as was the linguini with prawns that I had. The tiramisu was probably the best I’ve had and I’ve had a lot of tiramisu😊. Our server, David, was attentive but not overbearing. Highly recommend!
The food and service were amazing! We had a reservation and were sat at our exact time. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely be returning.
Hands down the best Italian in AZ. Great ambiance, excellent food and drinks. Definitely check it out if you are in Sedona!
As usual, the dinner and dining experience were great. We enjoyed our food, salmon for me and lasagna for my husband. Delicious!! My martini was excellent as well. We also had the lemon cheesecake for dessert. Yummmmm
We will be going there again and again.
Great visit, had to struggle a bit to get a decent table. That was a bit annoying as we had reservations standing for 3 months. Overall the food and wait staff were great. Thank you for a nice evening.
This is by far the best Italian establishment in the Sedona area. The setting, the food, the wine, the service can not be beat.
The food is unbelievable. The chef is an absolute genius with flavors.
We have been going here for years. They changed their menu and scaled back. Quite a disappointment.
Food was delicious.
Tiramisu was one of best I’ve ver had!
The staff was amazing! The manager Lawson was awesome, very professional and attentive. Our server, Brittany was very personable, charming and attentive. Hats off to the chefs and kitchen staff, as the food was excellent. The steak was perfectly cooked as requested. The Lamb was tender and delicious. The special lobster dish was wonderful. Loved the sauce and the lobster was tender and sweet. The flavors were perfect. Thank you!
Very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere...rustic Italian feeling throughout...somewhat limited menu
But specials were great!
My lasagna wasn’t very hot. My husband enjoyed his pasta bolognese. Think that some vegetables should be served with the entree. Just a square of lasagna looks lonely. Good wine offerings, even by the glass. Lovely ambiance. Prices a bit high.
I went with appetizer special burrata and the lobster chive pasta special. Both were great! I finished the meal with creme brûlée and espresso. Good service and pleasant aesthetics made for a very good overall experience.
Our server, Matt, was great! He was most accommodating, kind & competent!
We had the stuffed eggplant & the “special” Fruite de Mer. Both were delicious!
Matt suggested the Brunello wine, so we ordered a bottle! It was delicious as well!
As always, the ambiance was glorious!
We were celebrating our 25th anniversary, so it was especially wonderful; yet, it always is!
We love ALL of Owner/Chef Lisa Dahl’s restaurants, but this one is our absolute favorite!
Thank you, Matt & Lisa, for a fabulous evening!
Cucina Rustica is oozing with ambiance. Just the most magical and romantic restaurant with many seating options (bar, table by fireplace, patio courtyard dining).
Great menu, fun cocktails and delicious. Margaritas. We tried the penne Bolognese and the veal saltimbocca.
Staff was attentive, friendly and on point.
What a great experience. Coming back each time we visit Sedona.
An absolute must when in town.
It was my wife’s birthday so wanted to do something special. On Open Table I put it was my wife’s birthday. Anyhow we were seated in the corner and the table had rose pedals on it, I thought this was nice. The waiter came and acknowledged we were there no mention of the special occasion. We ordered our food and it was brought out promptly. We ordered a Caesar salad which was good but a bit pricey at 12 dollars but good. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass, it was very fishy tasting for 44 dollars and I had pasta with shrimp for 28 dollars. My pasta was very good but very small portion. Now some of the issues, all the other tables were given bread, we were not even asked if we wanted bread. I asked for parmigiana cheese and hot pepper flakes and the waiter gave me “ I will get it “ with somewhat an attitude. But when he was speaking with two women 2 tables away he couldn’t have been nicer. I was also upset no mention of my wife’s birthday, which is the reason I made the reservations at this well known establishment.
Excellent in every way....menu, service, staff, ambience.
Fantastic food, wonderful service and lovely atmosphere! Will definitely be back.
The ambiance was great. We had dinner in the patio and the evening was spectacular.
The food was good but not great. The pasta was "stracotta" which is a mortal for an italian.
We did enjoy the dinner and the artichoke bignets a lot!
Very good service. Waiter was pleasant and efficient
My husband and I had a wonderful meal. David was our waiter and he was a real joy. We had a great time with patrons at several other tables around us. We'll be going again and again on our many future trips to Sedona.
Still are favorite place in AZ. Live in Phoenix but it's worth the 90 min drive.
This was amazing. The Caesar salad was delicious; I would recommend and the pasta dishes we ordered were great. We sat on the beautiful patio outside.
Service was great. Seated quickly (we had reservations) , our waiter Nicolas was efficient and had a great sense of humor. Lasagna and one of the nights specials were delicious.
Having had wonderful experiences at Lisa Dahl's other restaurants over many years, we looked forward to this first time visit together with a special East Coast guest to whom we explained that this would be a memorable evening. It was indeed...but a total disaster from start to finish. One of us has serious food allergies that were expertly accommodated at other Dahl restaurants with care. Here we started with a server with attitude, followed by a supposedly custom made gluten free pasta with prawns in olive oil only, nothing else. We received pasta and prawns with tomatoes, herbs, garlic and arugula. Other dishes including overcooked lamb chops with poorly presented sides and sprinkled with balsamic completed the meal. Our complaints were initially received with finger pointing by the server and eventual sincere apologies by managers who comped the wrongly made dish. Nevertheless, this was past recovery. The final straw was receiving a bill with a $20 charge for a $14 glass of wine. The excuse was that it was the computer's fault, but in the end the charge was removed. So many issues here that will cause us not to return and hope that this place gets fixed. It is too lovely a spot to miss, and it flaws Lisa's otherwise fantastic image.
