Cucina Rustica is Chef Lisa Dahl's second restaurant and is celebrating 18 years. We look forward to welcoming you to a Tuscan / Mediterranean dining experience with starlit patios and villa-style dining rooms. Welcome to a relaxed fine dining experience in the Village of Oak Creek, Sedona.
Our Dress Code reflects this commitment and we uphold our dress code at our discretion. We do accept in our dining rooms the following: Baseball/Hiking Caps, Hiking Attire, Yoga Pants, Sweat Pants, Tank Tops, Cutoffs, Short Shorts, Thongs or Flip Flops. We ask gentlemen to remove their hats while in the dining rooms.

    My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. It was great! The pace was slow and comfortable. We had plenty of time to enjoy coffee and an appetizer before ordering our dinner. Everything was so good. Really recommend this place if you’re looking for a beautiful restaurant with very attentive service.

    We recently dined at Cusina Rustica and had a mixed experience. First and foremost, we were thoroughly impressed with our waiter, Isiah. His service was impeccable and truly enhanced our dining experience. The cuisine was also top-notch, meeting all our expectations. However, our primary concern stems from the reservation and seating process. Understanding the limitations of the OpenTable booking system for large parties, we proactively made separate reservations almost a month in advance for our group of nine. We made a special request to have our group seated together, assuming Cusina Rustica would inform us ahead of time if this wouldn’t be feasible. Unfortunately, this was not the case. It was only when we arrived that we were informed of their inability to accommodate our request. To exacerbate the situation, not only were we not seated together, but we were also placed at opposite ends of the restaurant, which was both surprising and disappointing. We expected a higher level of communication, especially considering the lead time provided. While addressing this with the manager, we anticipated understanding and perhaps an apology for the oversight. Instead, we were met with affirmation of the hostess’s decision without any acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. In conclusion, while the food and service from Isiah were commendable, the lack of effective communication and management’s response to our genuine concern was a letdown. We hope that our feedback serves as a constructive critique for Cusina Rustica’s future operations and communication processes.

    Their sign says a fine dining experience. This isn’t exactly that. It’s very noisy and the tables are crammed together. We were arms reach from the couple next to us, about 2 feet. Very noisy, not intimate or fine dining. Food is good. Some missing things like freshly grating Parmesan and pepper (it came in a bowl and spooned on to dish). Didn’t dislike it, but wouldn’t return.

    My eggplant parmigiana was superb and my husband loved his lasagna. The homemade focaccia was amazing!!! Sadie and her associate provided top notch service, we had a lovely meal. Highly recommend Cucina Rustica.

    Always a must stop when in town...hidden gem of sorts...been a regular for the past 20 yrs. Everything about this restaurant is top notch...food, service, portions, ambiance and live music. You truly get what you pay for here and it won't break the bank. It's all just perfect in my humble opinion which keeps me returning again & again. Kudos to Lisa Dahl with this fine dining establishment in Village of Oak Creek.

    Our overall dining experience was good however, I wasn’t pleased with the extra 3% surcharge on our over $200 bill. That surcharge plus a tip for our server made for a very expensive meal that was just okay in my opinion. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal so that’s a plus. On our last visit to the restaurant, they used to offer focaccia bread and a dipping oil for free. Now you have to pay for it. Not sure if I would return.

    Just like Dahl and DiLuca, we had dinner here 15 years ago and it was excellent, so we had to have a”repeat!” Once again, the dining experience was awesome in all aspects. We have recommended both restaurants to everyone we know coming to Sedona. All participants came back raving about the food and service! As they say in the South, “Y’all got it going on!”

    The food was fine. Although they are a bit heavy handed with the pepper it was edible. The host staff was he problem. If you arrive before your reservation be prepared to wait until your time to be seated. It’s “policy.” Since a person in the party was a diabetic they needed to eat as their blood sugar was dropping. The woman didn’t seem to care. I explained it to her she said “wait.” Spoke to the manager and he said they call in the afternoon to let you know. They called AFTER we were seated. It was not a pleasant experience and I would tell people to avoid this place.

    Wait staff was incredibly overworked, which made our table service very slow. Appetizer (rustic bruschetta) and dessert (lemon cheesecake) were good, but both my and my wife's main course were fairly bland. Overall atmosphere was nice, but we were seated directly in front of the musician, so it was pretty loud. Overall fairly disappointed for the price tag.

    We went to Cucina Rustica for our anniversary this year and were thoroughly pleased all the way around. The atmosphere is pleasant, the servers were timely but not intrusive, and the food was delicious! If you are in the Sedona area, I would highly recommend.

    We had a great dinner. The food was delicious, and the crème brûlée was amazing! A little more expensive than the last time we were there, but that is the case everywhere, and it was worth it for a special occasion.

    Been there many times over past couple years, and always excellent; the atmosphere is probably the prettiest interior of any restaurant I've ever been to, and we travel a lot. Service excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable. Food is outstanding Italian, mostly Tuscan rustic. Highly recommended.

    We had pollo parmigiana and it was outstanding, it melted in our mouths. The restaurant was beautiful and we were welcome by a very friendly staff. The hotel concierge told them it was our anniversary and there were rose petals on our table when we arrived. Everyone that came by wished us happy anniversary. It was a very enjoyable evening.

    Service was outstanding, food was good, however one of our meals was way over salted which was odd but it was like someone spilled the salt container right on our food. The room we were in was very nice but it was loud because the other guests talking loudly in the small room.

    Our server, Isaiah B., was a gem! He was informative about the menu, inviting when we talked, and had a wonderful disposition and sense of humor! Made our experience pleasant! The food…. Perfection! You must try the meatballs in the porcini cream sauce! So fresh, tender, and savory! If only you could put these on top of pasta and put as a dish! It would be even on another level! The parmigiana chicken was so tender and flavorful… the prawns in Lemon and wine sent your taste buds soaring! Wish we were able to sit outside, inside was louder than I was looking for a romantic evening, but it still was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend trying this restaurant!
