Food and service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The waiter we had was particularly helpful and attentive. Definitely value for money. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to others and I’m looking forward to lockdown being over so we can go back. Thanks for a top night..!!
Usually have the best time here but the food was tasteless, it took 1.5 hours to come out despite us being the only ones in the restaurant and the waiter was rude, slow and uninterested
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are quick and efficient and the food is incredible. I love this place, it has a lovely, warm atmosphere and I will always come back!
Have dined at this venue a few times now and it has always been a great experience.
It was my partner’s birthday and they made it that little bit more spect for her. Thank you.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
Amazing food , 5 Stars! The restaurant had a nice, warm, relaxed vibe .
Thank you
Amazing food, the gnocchi especially was just out of this world! As was the salmon! The desserts again super yummy! Great place, we felt super safe at all times, 100% recommend going here!
Attentive and polite service, "best lasagne ever" (according to our son). Pizza and bruschetta were ace and the sea bass (?) ravioli was exquisite.
Definitely recommended for a quiet family meal, good value for money too.
Had a lovely lunch here on Sunday with my flatmate. The staff were attentive without being overbearing and the atmosphere was perfect - a very chilled out Sunday afternoon. I ordered the seafood salad and my flatmate had the spaghetti carbonara, both were top rate. The bread and olives, served with vinegar and oil for dipping - were also divine - lovely fresh bread.
Good experience for first time dining here, although quiet woukd have been nice to have background music.food lovely
Excellent friendly service, accompanied by very good food which was excellent value for money
Service was quick and very polite. Food was beautiful. Would recommend to everyone.
Lovely evening and we were well looked after by the staff, the food on the specials menu is quite pricey which is what prevented me from giving it 5/5 but everything else was spot on.
Its just a shame we had to leave at 10pm but the staff were great at following covid rules
Amazing restaurant. Very authentic Italian food, with a great menu. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend and we will be returning soon!
Delicious food, and excellent service what more do you need?
Service was poor. We felt extremely rushed from the moment we arrived (7.30pm). Cutlery was thrown on the table. My friend’s starter plate was removed from under her while she was still eating, leaving her with a knife and fork in her hands and no food! The bill was brought along with our deserts despite the fact we still had 50 minutes until our taxi arrived at 10pm, if we’d wanted another drink or coffee we couldn’t as the bill was already done. We ended up sitting at an empty table until 10pm. Very strange. We actually didn’t tip because we were shocked at the service. Having said that, the food was excellent.
Guy who seated us (not a waiter) was slightly rude about the requirement to wear masks in order for us to walk to our table. We didn’t have masks with us and after 2 mins of huffing, he gave us two disposable masks. We genuinely didn’t know that we had to wear a mask walking into the restaurant to our table.
The rules are constantly changing so they should inform customers of the requirements when they book. Then we’d know what to do. Or alternatively, just provide some masks in a nice manner. I’m sure the minimal cost of one mask is factored into the price of the food/ wine- over £80 for 2. Ruined the whole experience to be honest. Although he quickly came over when it was time for us to pay the bill. Rest of the staff were very pleasant.
Really enjoyed my first visit to this restaurant and look forward to going back
Last date for eat out to help out. Good food and very good service. Would reccommend.
Fabulous food along with great service. Will be visiting again soon.
Freindly staff, Great atmosphere delicious food and just a genraly great value for money
Me and my partner have gone several times and every time we have had a romantic and charming night. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful food in Covid secure setting. Would definitely recommend.
Good food but very poor service. No real interaction and was rushed. A real shame
Lovely evening, food was amazing and service was great. Thank you
This place never fails to deliver in all aspects! :)
I was very disappointed by the extremely poor service. Was my first dinner date with the girl I am seeing and was so let down.
Well made food at reasonable prices. Service was very good. Relazed atmosphere, not over pretentious
Top quality and presentation, generous portions, always consistent. No better italian in the region for me.
We have been using Cuchina Rustica for many years now and it seems to have lost the intimacy it had originally. I had a fillet steak & hubby the medalions wrapped in parma ham. The meat was excellent quality & cooked to perfection however we both found it salty which spoiled it a little. The other bug bear was the noise which is a problem with many restaurants these days. Tiled floors & very little in the way of soft furnishings make for an echo in the surroundings.
Very nice , food very good, service very good.
A genuinely lovely evening service was especially superb and food beautifully cooked. Cannot recommend highly enough for a proper Italian meal.
Food was nice, service was amazing and value was excellent. Didn’t really like the ambience.
Service was great, my wifes custom pizza was exactly as ordered. Really happy with the service and will come back again and again!
The restaurant is in a nice position close to St Paul's square and not far from The Jewellery Quarter. The restaurant is nicely decorated and there is a good choice on the menu. Service was quick and the food was nice. My crab linguine pasta was lacking in crab but the flavour was very good. I asked the waiter for another Peroni and got a Moretti but not really a problem, I just had it and said nothing. I Shared a margherita pizza for starter which was very tasty. The pudding I chose was orange and grand marnier creme brulee, this was very runny definitely undercooked but it tasted beautiful. I could have ate another one. All in all it was a nice evening and I would go back again, just a few niggles to sort out.The place has competition aswell from Pasta di Piazza which is only a 5 minute walk away.
Brilliant service, the restuarant has been set up so social distancing is in effect. Lovely food and environment, we will be visiting again soon!
I ordered my main, which I wasn't fond of.
I spoke to who I thought was the manager ( he was the owner) and he had a pasta dish made to my liking.
Brilliant service. In fact I am going again. Twice in one week. 😋😋
Would highly recommend
Booked on OpenTable which was quick and easy. The food was fantastic, and the fact they have extended the Eat Out to Help Out offer into September made it phenomenally good value. Well done!
Booked for 8:30. Arrived at 8:25. Seated at 9:10... 40mins after reservation due. I am only pointing this out because the restaurant takes your card details when booking and expects you to give at least 24hours for cancellations.
Starters: Poor 1/5
Mains: Great 4/5
Dessert: Good 3/5
Service was not pleasant although we received everything on time once we were seated. Advised we must order all food together and that we could not order starters first and mains afterwards. Too quick to take your plate... on 3 different occasions the waiter what felt like ‘pounced’ to take our plate.
Would I recommend? ... probably yes.
Would I go on a Saturday night again? ... Absolutely not. It does not look like they can cater/accommodate when it is a full house
It was our first time here and we can’t wait to come back! The service was superb, our waiter was friendly & professional. The meal was excellent and the ambience just perfect. We had a wonderful evening! Thank you Cucina Rustica! See you soon!
Lovely food and staff, will be back again !
Excellent food and good service. Was very impressed with the distance between the tables. Easy to social distance. Hand sanitising stations throughout including outside the toilet. Would definitely recommend.
