Fine Italian food in the very centre of Birmingham is Cucina Rustica's trademark, a comfortable, atmospheric Italian restaurant popular with both locals and tourists visiting this vibrant city. Although modern and slick in its execution, the choice of deep earthy colours and moody lighting, tactile materials such as wood and stone and the addition of characterful contemporary art and healthy, verdant plants give Cucina Rustica that slight traditional feel suggested by its name and a certain cosiness that gives it a home from home feel. Attention to detail is in every little touch here at Cucina Rustica, from the single rose placed on each table to the complementary olives produced on every guest's arrival. Equally, food is produced with great care, dishes traditionally Italian but done with flair and a certain amount of style, some unusual choices offered alongside classic favourites, all from the classic Italian cookbook and accompanied by a wide array of drinks.

Menu had some lovely options we enjoyed the sharing plate of seafood for starters. We were recommended some wine, which was well parred with our mains. The restaurant is very noisy place not really for a romantic atmosphere, which is a pity. It was hard to have conversations, others seem to have the same opinion. And tables are in close proximity of each other. Might return on a week day, and try it again.

Really good food and atmosphere. It was quiet when we went for lunch so we had great service. I would definitely book again

Visiting Birmingham to watch a show found restaurant on line , looked great Found via maps very easy Made to feel very welcome drinks straight away and we had two courses on the specials Food was beautiful Only thing mains came out to quick after starter We will be back next time we go to Birmingham

Visited Cucina Rustica on consecutive nights last week and it didn’t disappoint! Great food, amazing service and a lovely ambiance. The first night we didn’t finish our wine and so asked the staff if they could keep the remainder for our visit the next evening. When we turned up the wine was already on the table; lovely touch…. Mussels were fabulous and all of the pasta dishes (especially the crab ravioli with chilli and clams) were out of this world. Well done to the chefs and the front of house staff who made both visits brilliant. Thoroughly recommend you go here!!!

Excellent Italian restaurant in a great location in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham. I go there every year with some cricket friends the night before the start of the Edgbaston Test. Great food/service, especially the daily specials. Looking forward to our next visit.

We have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the food. However last night the table was only laid for two people and not four. We received starter garlic bread to share but had to go to the bar to ask for plates, cutlery and napkins. Saying this the service otherwise was good and the food was delicious. My husband especially enjoyed the lasagna! We will return soon.
