Awesome as always
Will not go back. Very very very loud. Could not even hear the server when he was telling us the specials and could not hear one another talk at our table. When I asked to substitute a vegetable for another I was told no they will not do that. Also very small and close to one another. One and done for me.
Great food, great place, will be back with friends
We had an early reservation so it was very quiet. Felt like private dining just for us. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Been there before and haven’t been disappointed yet.
It's the best. Best food, best service, best everything. I love it there.
Comfortable Italian cuisine
First time - food was so fresh. Salads and soup big portions. Attentive service
All dinners were wonderful. We would b happy to return.
The food was great! Loud italian type of environment.
Wonderful little place, homemade gnocchi and papradelle, very small portions for the price, only 4 shrimp with papradelle for 27.00. gnocchi were big but looked like an appetizer. Mussels and sauce was delicious ricotta pie and tiramisu was delicious. Nice byob but too overpriced
Best gnocchi ever! Amazing risotto. Friendly knowledgeable server! Hidden gem.
Cucina Forte never disappoints! The menu allows for all kinds of dining choices, our meal was fantastic. Our server (Greg I think), took excellent care of us without being obtrusive. Cozy and quiet atmosphere on our dining night, but also can be boisterous depending on crowd. However, I like both! It is always relaxing. Would return again and again.
Excellent food and a good value.
Great meal. We had greek salad, gnocchi medley, baby lamb chops with ravioli in blush sauce and grilled chicken in herbs with veggies. Every dish was scrumptious and the homemade bread was also outstanding. We will be back soon to try some other of the dishes!
Our first visit but not our last. Wonderful food and service.
Food is always exceptional. The gnocchi are like none other! Authentic southern Italian cuisine. Just like dinner at Nonna’s!
Cucina Forte is always a winner. Authentic Italian cuisine with a South Philly vibe. The food is cooked to perfection and since it’s BYOB you won’t get killed when the check comes.
Haven’t been here in about 5 years..can’t imagine why because this place is every bit as sensational as ever! My co-diners had never been here so I of course recommended the gnocchi (best they ever ate) and the dream soup ( they were at a loss for words)! Mussels were plump and tasty with zero grit...pasta was perfect, risotto was beyond delicious and my salmon was outstanding! Waitstaff was wonderful! Everyone loved Cucina Forte!
Amazing food. Great service. Gorgonzola sauce is the best I ever had.
The best gnocchi in Philly!
Great small Italian gem. I loved that they accommodated my girlfriend who had diet issues and needed food to be soy free
I recommend Cucina Forte. Best gnocci I've ever tasted, and I'm 66, Sicilian, and eat lots of Italian food when I go out for dinner. I've lived in Philly, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and Boston. The bread was delicious, I drank my favorite wine, and had wonderful conversation with 2 friends. I think this might be their favorite restaurant, and I'm looking for a go-to place myself. This could be it. Great value, neighborhood ambiance, and the server and staff were thoughtful and accommodating.
Fourth visit here. Love the ambiance and the BYOB option. Soup size is very generous and plenty for a meal (for me at least). Bread was delicious. My only reservation is that some of the entrees seem a little overpriced. Our bill was higher than I anticipated. Server was very good.
Delicious food. The gnocchi is divine. BYOB and takes credit cards: the perfect combo.
It was very loud in the restaurant, but other than that it was fantastic. Delicious food, and great service!
As always the food is absolutely amazing! Do not miss the Ricotta Gnocchi, the absolute best! And of course Maria makes sure to stop by to chat with everyone. One of my most favorite Restaurants in the city.
Food was good, nothing spectacular. Lobster dish was seasoned nicely however the risotto was the worst I’ve ever had. Decor was also nothing great. Service was good.
Food was amazing!!!
Always a lovely time at Cucina Forte! As per usual, we got Maria’s homemade gnocchi as an appetizer (entree-sized so that we could have both types in both sauces - an absolute must for everyone!) and then split the tuna entree special. We love this spot any night (except closed on Mondays) and for any reason. It would be one of the saddest days ever if Cucina ever ceased to exist!
We will never go back on a night when the owner/chef is not there. The food was bland and not up to the usual standard we expect. Our guest was served cold coffee and our desert was straight out of the freezer. Our server offered to put it in the microwave.
Love this restaurant. Food is unbelievable. Service is fantastic. It is BYOB which makes it even more affordable.
The food was amazing and the staff of 3 works together beautifully & and were very helpful, fun, & on the ball with everything.
The food was good but I didn't think the menu overall was that great. The service was awesome and I love that it is byob!
As usual, our service and dinners were excellent. We even went for dessert. Love this place.
Cucina Forte is a small, understated, Authentic Italian BYOB; The food is outstanding yet reasonably priced; the Service is quick and friendly and very attentive and the atmosphere is quaint and romantic.
The homemade gnocchi were light and flavorful. The Gorgonzola sauce was just average. The gnocchi portions were a bit small for the price. We’ve dined there a few times and were not impressed on this visit.
Food was good, I felt sort of rushed the entire time. Different people kept coming over every few minutes to ask if we were done. Otherwise, overall good, and will go again
We've been to Cucina Forte several times and the food is reliably good. Gnocci, for which they are famous was standout. My only critique is related to seating and noise. It was a Sunday night and the restaurant was virtually empty, except for a table of 4 that left shortly after we arrived. Nevertheless, our party of 6 was squished into a table in the back of the restaurant, up against the server station, and next to to the doorway to the restrooms and the kitchen. This made it challenging to get in and out of our chairs and resulted in us having to talk over the gossiping servers standing at the station behind us.
Food was great. Typical south philly joint. Small place and a touch crowded , but great meal.
Food was amazing and we had Greg as our server he was amazing
Hidden gem in South Philly
