Our waiter, we thought, was the busboy. He didn’t introduce himself as our waiter when he brought water and then 15 minutes later, took our drink order. When we realized he was our waiter, great. But you couldn’t hear him. It’s as if he whispered on purpose. And that was the vibe the rest of the evening. I asked if he’d bring a desert with a candle for our friend, whose birthday was yesterday. Fifteen-20 minutes later the desert came, only our friend had stepped out to the restroom. Then she came back. And finally another five - eight minutes later, the desert and candle showed up.
The waiter had the softest voice and coupled with a mask, could barely be heard.
The food was good, not great - like it used to be. RMy husband’s parpadelle came out warm, not hot. I didn’t ask our guests about the heat of their food. I had a salad - how can you mess that up?
Anyway, we will go back, but hesitantly.
Excellent food and great wine recommendations!
Food and service excellent. Safe environment. Attention to detail. Never disappoints!
Had a wonderful lunch. The waiter was friendly and attentive.
Wonderful experience. The food was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long for it. We made reservations and initially were only given the option for outdoor seating but once we arrived we were offered indoor or outdoor, which was nice. Beautiful restaurant. Would definitely recommend.
Love Cucina - rigatoni bolognese for the win every time!
Cucina enoteca never disappoints! Great food, drinks and service!! Loooove the Brussels sprouts pizza!!!
Excellent! Easter brunch. Delicious.
My son and I had a lovely Eastern Brunch during our stay.
Had dinner here for the first time, service was great and food was good. Will definitely be back.
Great service only complaint was that the cheese board only had about a half an ounce of cheese. The rest was dips and compotes...
This is one of our favorite restaurants! We absolutely love the outdoor patio. The new pasta dish with artichokes, spinach pasta and sunchoke and lemoncello butter sauce was to die for. Yum!
Thanks Rachel for an amazing experience! Perfect service and we’re so happy to have dined here! Shout out to the manager Chris who’s great and always remembers us! We feel really special thanks to everyone at this location!
Everything was delicious, we ordered appetizers, salad, pizza, pasta, and dessert, everything was perfect. The server was wonderful as always, and our cocktails were fantastic. This was our first meal out in a year, which was why we chose Cucina, it is consistently amazing.
Great ambiance and great food!
It was great!!
The food was fabulous. There were six of us outside and it was a little squished. I felt sorry for the server because they were short at least one server.
It honestly was the server who made our experience the best. Rachel was such a sweet, welcoming, bright, joyful human being. She really made the “good” food GREAT. She really made a huge difference to how our dinner went. 10/10 for Rachel’s wonderful-ness. Also, the hostess was fantastic. It was busy and she kept getting bombarded with dinner walk-in guests asking a million questions. She was very kind and accommodating and patient with them. Unfortunately we did not get her name, but she was great Sunday night. If I were to recommend this restaurant to others, I would not based on the food (average), but I definitely will because of the awesome staff.
The food is great! The menu has healthy choices. I'm a regular!
We had a lovely lunch outside on the patio. Tables were well spaced. Food was delicious. Our server, Josh, was absolutely terrific! He really added to our experience.
Our food and drink were great, however our server seemed as if it was his first day - We had to call him over several times, he wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu or cocktails.
Celebrating birthday with friends. Nice outdoor dining.
Juan Carlos was our waiter and he was the NICEST and best! I hope we get seated in his section again next time we visit!
First time eating sit-down dinner at a restaurant since lockdown. Ate outside on the patio with tables spread apart, but the noise level was rather loud. Food was delicious as before. Happy to be out again.
Perfect evening out. Food was delicious. Service was excellent
We have been to Cucino many times before but feeling more that portion sizes going smaller for the price for almost all dishes.
Our server (I think Gerald was his name) was excellent! We ordered the goat cheese pizza, also excellent, and the burger and roasted chicken for our entrees, both surpassed our expectations. Overall, this place is a great place for a date, or special occasion. The music thumping Next door was too much, nothing I’d hold against this restaurant, but obnoxious anyway. We will be back for sure.
At first the service was so great and after it just plummeted. I think they might have been short staffed that day. Our waitress was Anna and towards the end of our experience she seemed a little overwhelmed and bothered.
Happy hour was a great value and the server informed us about it. Sunday’s are deals on their wines. We enjoyed it until at the end our server actually told us when he saw our empty wine bottle “wow, I didn’t think you’d drink it all”. The food wasn’t anything amazing, the Brussels are good. Just be careful if that server gets you on Sunday, you may end up feeling like a lush.
Service, ambiance and the food was exceptional. We will definitely be back.
I love Cucina Enoteca. I’ve been to their spot in Del Mar and the food is on the mark and the prices are reasonable.
First time here and we made a reservation so we were able to get seated on the patio due to C19. Most of the prime seating was taken so it was metal or wood chairs for the most part although we spotted a couple of decent seats and were able to move. We purchased two bottles of Cabernet, the were Austin from Paso Robles and they opened one of them and waived the corkage fee. The menu was a little limited due to the C19 virus so that was a bummer because we really wanted to have some lasagna. The meatball was a great start with the wine and then it went downhill from there. It was a little windy and we asked if they could turn the heaters on which didn't happen for a long time and I think it may have been on a timer so we were cold. We ordered the mac n cheese just to give it a shot and my wife didn't like it at all. The patio was less than half full and people were being turned away because I think they had so many reservations on their books and those people were leaving a little mad. We were going to get a pizza and the short rib dish and decided to just get the short rib dish. It was also a disappointment. It was salty like a pot roast and was just like a stroganoff I wouldnt recommend this dish. We ran into my son and his wife and they said the burger was really good here and that's what they were coming for, go figure at an Italian place.
The beer and cocktail selection was limited. The outdoor dining now faces the Regal Theatre signage and you feel like you are on the Las Vegas Strip.
The cheese and salami board did not have enough bread and we were charged extra for more.
I have enjoyed this restaurant many times in the past. I will go again once Covid is over so we can enjoy a meal inside or at the bar.
Great! I like the food, the service and the outside sitting!
What a disappoint! This place used to be good, it no longer is . The food was not good. The drinks were not good, not even their classic Lavender Lemonade. The service was good, I have to give them that. Nevertheless , next time, I'll go somewhere else.
We ordered the bucatini amatriciana with egg, short rib papardelle, and truffle fries. $22.5, $24, and $8.95 respectively. The pastas were not bad ~6/10; we felt they were not quite worth their prices. The fries 9/10 — truffle taste is pronounced and the fries were just the right texture (we prefer it slightly soggy). Service was excellent, however. The ambience was also pleasant.
Reservation = half hour wait time. Poor hostess and management ..just awful. This place has gone down in quality fast.
Horrible quality and service. This place has dramatically deteriorated in quality over the last few years. Never coming back. Disappointed for the last time.
Loved the atmosphere! We sat outside and it was very lounge-y and comfortable! The happy hour sangrias & wines we're all great! We loved the Parmesan fries and giant meatball too! Definitely a great lunch or dinner date spot!
We love Cuccina Enoteca but half of the menu wasn't available!
