Food is always great here. Not a big fan of the chocolate mousse style desert though. Outside ambiance is good ..They put a lot of money into their outside dining.

My Valentine's Day dinner was very disappointing. I had made a dinner reservation weeks ago to go eat one of my favorite dishes, a short rib pappardelle. I even had to contact via email one of their admins because the restaurant is closed due to Covid. Luckily this place serves this dish.
So, we get there, it’s half empty, good sign. Probably great service... I was wrong. The server was friendly but, we asked for everything to come out at once, that didn’t happen. And my food arrived cold and my husband's was piping hot, you could see the steam coming off of it. For having such high expectations, and driving nearly 30 mins to get to the restaurant, I was just extremely disappointed.

Cocina is always good...server could have had a little more energy...I’ve definitely had better server experiences at Cucina...but food was delicious as always.

Their outdoor seating is classy and crafted to make it feel like you’re in a grassy park—not a parking lot. The food is amazing. I highly recommend the tiramisu for two it is deadly delicious. Their pizzas are light and crispy with the perfect chewiness—their formula for toppings is spot on. Their bucatini is our favorite and they can easily make it vegetarian friendly and it doesn’t lose its flavor. The Brussels are the BEST. The squash blossoms are so yummy—crunchy and creamy—and the cocktails are definitely crafted to perfection. This is one of our favorite places. Cheers!

Food and service were very good as usual. Love what they have done with the outdoor dining space and upstairs.

Food was great! Outside area so so compared to others but still worth it considering the quality of the food. Service was way too slow and we had to look for our server several times. Nice person but just too slow. We enjoy ordering there weekly prep meals as the quality is great.

Wonderful food when they finally got it right.. The server was inexperienced with the menu, didn’t check back with us or attempt to make things right. A manager delivered the correct food but it took awhile and we were already half way through our meal. no attempt to offer concessions, dessert or another drink. Our server only came back to deliver the check. Disappointed, as this is one of our favorite restaurants to visit and the meal was $125. Covid protocols have affected the overall experience and staffing understandably.. but hoping this isn’t the new norm

With covid, we knew it would be open air seating. However, they did not have enough propane tanks for their heaters. We did not have a heater. We asked to be moved to the upstair bar area (which way open for customers) and we told that there wasn't any room upstairs.
The 2nd person, said that we could go up and sit at the bar. (OK, we are getting to a warmer spot!!) It was a bit warmer. However, there were multiple tables available. (Not restricted by covid) We were told the open tables were set for walk ins of party of 4.
We were a party of 2 with reservations. Very frustrating!!!!!
The bartender was wonderful and took care of our order with grace.
Atmosphere very soso. I will not be going back!

The metal seats were cold! And my pasta good, but not the usual Cucina Enoteca level of gourmet, tasty food.

Only bad thing is putting a Covid tax on your bill that makes people not want to tip their server as much which is really unfortunate to the servers. Put the tax amount hidden in your food so serviers don’t get penalized

Ask for Josie. Best server and bar tender you could aak for!

We made reservations and didn’t know anything about this restaurant, except it is Italian...we were very pleased with the outside dining during this covid situation. The atmosphere was perfect and our group of 8 had a wonderful experience. The food was great, service outstanding and we will definitely recommend this restaurant and will also return when we can.

Second time here and no change, excellent service, respected social distancing guidelines and delicious food. My hubby ordered the same thing as before, the short rib parpadelle excellent dish!! I ordered the squash/buratta salad this time around and added chicken which was also lovely (the chicken was charbroiled and juicy) They also have a lovely assorted wine list by the bottle. It's a great atmosphere and we'll be back for more soon!

The upstairs dining was beautiful. Ask for the server Ryan if you want top notch and friendly service.

Love this Del Mar location always order the Short Rib Pappardelle, and it's the one dish that keeps bringing us back. Second best item on the menu is roasted chicken manage to be light and tender.

Desserts are just average but if your heart is set on something sweet, the chocolate panna cotta (like a plain chocolate mousse) is good.

Charming atmosphere with floor to ceiling windows brings in a great amount of light. Lots of interesting art and racks of wine bottles that make it feel like you're dining in a spacious private home.

We have always loved Cucina Enoteca, but they are doing an even more outstanding job during Covid. The food was excellent and we very much enjoyed sitting on the patio upstairs. We will be back again soon.

All the COVID guidelines were adhered to. The food was delicious and the service was great.

outdoor dining is so beautiful! Recommend the pastas family style and the crudo.

The food was great. We were celebrating my teenage daughter’s birthday and she loves the entree she ordered. She was also offered a chocolate mousse with a candle to celebrate her birthday.

Very welcoming environment; wonderful service, Brussel sprouts appetizer was amazing. Mushroom goat cheese pizza delicious. Tables appropriately spaced for safety. A very nice experience.
