The service was horrible no dishes after we received the appetizer and no bread no fork and nife
Cucina Calandra was excelent. I had a dish of Mussels and Shrimp on a bed of the most wonderful freshly hand made Pasta. The gravy was superb and dinner was served with a loaf of Calandra bread prepared with mozzarella woven inside the bread.
Your outdoor tent is spectacular of any other restaurant….well done!!!
Service is not the greatest...
Loved the ambiance, the food and the drinks. I was very disappointed about the service. There was a misunderstanding at the end of the night and the server was under the impression that our party was not providing him with a tip. The server approach the table and stated that the hotel did "not pay him" and that he needed to receive a "20% tip" and the amount provided was not the correct. The service was not exceptional for us to leave such tip, but his demands were firm. The table apologize and still provide him with 18% despite of the incident. Very uncomfortable and defenitely not coming back to the restaurant.
Rashid great waiter service impeccable food delicious
A great meal, service was excellent and we all enjoyed a very pleasant evening!
Pasta night was awesome!! The Gnocchi with vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella was amazing! Amazing food - my friends raved about it!
Food was average in contrast with the value… the ambience was nothing special, we had sangria and it taste like it was watered down
Very good food and wine. Service was very good. My friend wanted pasta primavera and they made it for her.
Although we had a reservation we had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Some parties of 2 and 4 without reservations were seated right away.
Excellent outdoor dining. Good service and excellent food. It is our "go to "place.
Food and service are at best mediocre. We had s zucchini flower appetizer which after deep deep frying was tasteless mush. The mussel appetizer was unremarkable. The only good aspect of the meal was the bread which was excellent and used for dipping into the mussel sauce.
We expected to order either an additional appetizer or dinner but did neither
Food is amazing! Highly recommended, service was great.
Restaurant very noisy. Loud door to outside banging until we spoke about it.
Food quite average for the price.
Calandras Cucina used to be less expensive than Calandras Mediterranean. Not any more
So good!!!! Food is amazing and so is the service.
I asked the waiter if there were legs in the calamari so he went back and checked with the chef and came back and said yes so I ordered it. It came out with zero legs not one. On top of that the seafood linguine was old and hard. I had to send it back at which time they made a new one and it was perfect. I have no idea why they used old scallops and old shrimp in the first dish but that's exactly what happened They took the calamari off the bill and I landed up eating dinner a half hour later than I should have because of the remaking of the seafood and linguine. Overall I'm leaving this review more for the owners than for anyone else because they have a problem in the kitchen with miscommunication and food freshness. The scallops were old and hard like as if they had freezer burn and the shrimp were almost brown in the first dish. The second dish was perfect as if they just caught the seafood an hour before time. I couldn't believe the drastic difference but I guess they have their reasons. And I really couldn't believe that after checking with the chef the waiter would actually bring me a full plate of calamari with no legs at all. The only reason I ordered it was because she confirmed it was going to be the way I like it.
Fantastic zucchini blossoms! Drinks great! Road noise from 46 a serious buzz kill.
Nice server. Good food. Ran out of pizza though? Weird.
We arrived at Cucina Calandra at 6pm during Happy Hour and enjoyed a well-made cosmo and martini at the bar.... half price! Afterwards, we went into the dining room and had two delicious dinners (Gnocchi di Sorrento and Ravioli di Funghi). We both took some home because we feasted on cheesy bread before our dinners were served. Every aspect of the evening was wonderful. Oh, I forgot, we had a coupon for 20% off our dinner.
Always a great meal and service excellant
so we have been going for years here. Only going in lounge to eat with entertainment. HAPPY hour was always great music and Staff.
We miss terribly that staff Nicole Christian and Rebecca who always made patrons feel welcomed and like friends. Since covid we have gone many times for dinner in the tent. They had the BEST protocol in the tri-state. We went at time alone and many times with friends...always great with e every measure. Last nite NOT. Just the opposite something has drastically changed.
Staff sparse and weak. Forgot Ceasars Salad for four. Delivered entrees cool and chicken dishes tough...also some items on menu not available and prices slightly raised. We trust they can get back to the Covid times of ambiance food and services.
Always amazing food!!!
FYI we were seated in a lounge, not in the actual restaurant area, some live music was going on, actually quite enjoyable "one man's band". The food was really tasty and plentiful. Zero dress code so anything goes, not an upscale or anywhere near it. Price wise reasonable since food was good. Service not very attentive. The waitress was sweet but didn't come too often, we ordered a bottle of wine, no-one bothered to refill our glasses when empty. We had to ask bus boys to have empty plates removed from our table and request clean utensils for the next course. Overall food was good and portions generous but probably we will not be going back. Price tag dinner for two (appetizer, entree, dessert and bottle of wine) $150 plus gratuity.
Never a bad meal! Nice to see familiar faces back. It’s our favorite family restaurant. Something for all of our picky appetites.
Great food. Even made sub for another sauce I wanted. Service was great. Tables far apart for safety. Option of indoor and outdoor dining. Loved it overall.
Ordered the Clams appetizer and the Brocali Rabe and Sausage appetizer. Both were delicious. A lot of food but very good. We both ordered the Pork Chop on the menu and it was a little spicy for me but very good. Pork Chop was tender and the peppers were also very tasty, Would recommend as always,
We had a lovely evening there last night. They had music in the tent, and they were amazing. The atmosphere was so nice. The food was excellent! Delicious and great portions. We haven't been able to find someplace that makes good seafood dishes, where you actually get a lot of shellfish! Incredible! We will be back..and the cocktails were delish!!!
Good food...inattentive service. Staff seemed to be having some organizational problems.
Very pleasant and clean! The servers are all very nice!
Nice atmosphere, nice tent. Service was good if not extremely polished. Food was very good. I would definitely return and recommend it to my friends.
Great service, delicious food & beautiful ambiance.
It was my daughter’s graduation. my family and I had a very nice evening.
I would recommend Cucina Calandra to anyone!!
Enjoyed dinner very much, but upon receiving the check, I noticed that the tip was included. Your servers should tell customers that’s the case. On Friday, June 11th, I had dinner with my family at Calandra’s and left a $50 tip in addition to the tip that I was unaware was included on the check. The waiter should have pointed out my oversight instead of reaping the benefit of my unawareness . Extremely unethical! The waiter got s$100 tip on a $200 check. I plan on sharing my unfortunate experience on social media. Despicable!
Great Fathers Day dinner!!! Enjoyed the evening, food and service were both delightful. Can’t wait to go back!!!
Father’s Day dinner in the lounge with 7 people. It was great as always.
The food was great but the staff not very friendly.
We went for our sons graduation celebration we were so excited to be there we ordered our appetizers that were awesome then my son’s ordered the pizza let’s just say the pizza guy working at the time was NO chef Henry he was so rude and unprofessional we took our dinner home so disappointed.
The arancini were had soured. They were removed from the invoice; however, it was 50% off Pasta Night. Discount should have been $48.00 - but only $40,00 was taken off - I believe to offset the remove of the arancini.
The main dishes themselves were fine but the meatball app was disappointing and the rice balls were had soured.
Everything was enjoyable.
