Great! Delicious food, excellent service.
We had such a wonderful evening! The service was absolutely fantastic and the food exceeded our expectations. We decided to do the tasting menu and we were not disappointed. The food was both creative and delicious!
One of the three best restaurants in Asheville and on par with Curate. Hands down our favorite for everything from date night to special occasions.
Unfortunately, we were seated near a very loud table of guests, who made so much noise, we could not enjoy our own conversation. I regularly dine at your restaurant. This was the first time I’ve had such an unpleasant experience there.
Disappointed with the service. The menu wasn't explained to us. So although I was prepared to pay for an expensive meal I wasn't prepared to pay the cost of five courses and only receive one dish. It was the only fish dish on the menu that I could eat... We were seated next to the computer station and could hear the waiters talk about their tables. No one ever came to check on us after our food arrived, no refill of water and no one asked if we wanted more drinks.
Very good experience. Excellent meals after difficult choices from the menu; too many good items. The tiny broccolini appetizer was superb and the Wagu Flat Iron steak in particular were very good.
Our favorite go to restaurant in Asheville. Service, food, spirits always the best.
Our waitress was amazing! Honestly many things on the menu sounded delicious so she let us do half portions so we could try a variety of things.
Awesome bread, awesome riggatoni, delicious pizza, great service.
Outstanding service and great food made our anniversary special. Thank you Cucina 24.
Our first stop on the Eating Asheville food tour, I was amazed at the shortribs they gave us to sample, not something I would normally order, but was very tasty. It turned out to be my favorite thing on the tour, and when the tapas place we had already planned for dinner didn't have any availability, we made a reservation here. Holy cow are we glad that we did! We ate a la carte, some greens and brussel sprouts for starters, and we both had pasta for main course. My wife had a bolognese which was excellent and I had a rigatoni that was a bit spicy and had bits of smoky ham in it. That was totally off the charts, my wife made me split it with her.
As we learned on the tour, Cuchina only uses the freshest ingredients that are available and their menu constantly changes according to what is at its peak of freshness. They do things right and it totally came through in a wonderfully flavorful meal. The ambiance was great for a romantic night out, their servers were perfectly attentive and we have not a thing to complain about. Highly recommended! I know I probably sound like their marketing department, but we live in Charlotte and were just very pleased with our meal :)
Great food and service. Amazing pizza dough and homemade pastas. The music was amazing as well. Would definitely return.
Fabulous evening. Great appetizers. Grilled cabbage. House made mozzarella. Pickled onions. Yum. Entrees are delicious
I have eaten at Cucina 24 multiple times leading up to this review and my last visit was my least favorite. It certainly wasn't bad, but there were some things that paled in comparison to my earlier visits. The waiter spent too much time describing how the menu works, prix fixe on one side, a la carte on the other. He repeatedly mentioned that we could mix and match from either side. It made the menu seem a bit like a gimmick and the pitch was a bit uncomfortable. My fish was also slightly over done, but so slightly that it could have been due to sitting under a heat lamp just a little to long on a busy Friday night. Overall, 9/10, still the best place in Asheville.
My wife and I were in town for one night and took this place as a suggestion from the hotel. We were not disappointed, food was amazing. I wanted to do the tasting menu but my wife was not onboard, ok, I will cope... we had the focccia appetizer and a cheese board to start. Both were amazing, but I have to say the bread outplayed the cheese. I would reserve that for dessert. I had a sirloin and my wife had pasta bolinaise. Both were very good, left us both wanting more. The desert was a banana bread loaf pudding with a bourbon glaze, oh my, this cap off an amazing meal, so good.
We will be back on our next trip, even just to sit at the kitchen side bar and eat the pasta. Cheers
Had a blast, service was great....food even better. Not crazy about the snails, but hey snails aren’t for everyone....think would have been more enjoyable in a butter sauce (white wine butter sauce). We will be back food was fantastic!
Had the tasting menu and everything was amazing!
Great atmosphere and service
Over all great first impression. However we sat down and the track lighting above was flickering off and on and server had to change light bulb. Food was average,
WAY too salty. Server never checked back in to see how food was. Took two bites of pasta that tasted like it was made with a sat box and not one time did anyone even inquire why the food was eaten.
Unique to asheville - lots of care goes into the food and the experience
We made our reservation on Open Table after searching the menus of many local restaurants. Probably our biggest surprise was that there are actually two types of menus-a traditional and a family style tapas-and you cannot order al a carte from the tapas side. If you would like something from that side entire table must all order the tapas. Even though the servings may be on the small side, this is way too much food for my husband and I to eat. For those with bigger appetites this is probably a good and adventurous choice, but it forced us to choose from the traditional menu and I struggled to make a selection. I ended up with the pork chop which was a nice presentation but was very chewy. My husband enjoyed his pasta, but we felt it was not a good value for the price.
Cucina 24 continues to shine as one of the best in a town with no shortage of great restaurants
Very pleased. Will return. Foidvcreatuve and tasty.
First time in Asheville and Cucina 24 was recommended by a friend. Made a reservation; we were seated on time, but then ignored for 15-20 minutes. Our waitress finally came by and explained the menu and then was about to run off.... I wanted to order a bottle of wine. She brought the wine back after another lengthy delay, poured a glass and then disappeared again. We ordered a couple of appetizers from her and our meal and basically never saw her again. She stopped by once to check on us after our food had been delivered to our table and when the bill was due. Otherwise, she spent most of her time at other tables.
The food was very good, hot and well seasoned. I was just extremely disappointed with the service for the price that was paid. May or may not go back!!
Most excellent restaurant in all the world. I would recommend it to everyone.
The service was wonderful and the food was great!
Enjoyed our meal, return visit, will return again
We did the chef's tasting menu and it was absolutely delicious. We will definitely come back here.
My second time at Cucina 24, and I came back because of the tasting meal. Pared with wines, it was one of my favourite meals ever - the first time. Last night, the food was good, but the service was not. And there were less than a dozen other diners, so we should have had their attention.
Our "paired" wines did not arrive on time with the courses. And the dessert for two people had one plate with one small scoop of ice cream on it. I asked about that as I have never been asked to share a scoop of ice cream on a plate with a girlfriend. In a flippant way, our waiter said they had" proportioned the dessert for two."
The food was good, and some of the appetizers were excellent. However, with so many dining choices in Asheville, I won't be going back to Cucina 24 again.
Delightful hostess Sabrina saved us a special table and the tasting menu is amazing; it just takes a bit larger stomach if you are of an age. The only distraction was a hood-system slipping belt to be fixed soon. Couldn't have been better maybe even in Italy!
Overall, very good. We liked some of the dishes but others were just okay. Long wait, nice service but server seemed overworked and harried. Not as good as our first experience, but we will go back another time.
One of the best meals that we have had in AVL!!!
Food was exceptional and service equal to the food!
We loved this restaurant, everything was fantastic. We will be back soon.
Waiter was inattentive, forgot our order of Brussels sprouts then delivered undercooked sprouts to pair with my daughter’s undercooked pasta. Not worth the price
This is my favorite restaurant in all the world, including Europe. Brian allowed us to have fish for lunch, which I wanted for my birthday.
Wonderful dinner. Even better than a few years ago. Would highly recommend.
The service and atmosphere were excellent. My wife and I tried the one fee option and were served a lot of dishes we would not have ordered on our own. The food was great and I would recommend this establishment to anyone.
We had the tasting menu... super delicious, unique and great value! Atmosphere, server attitude, and service was extraordinary. Awesome experience where everyone is enjoying the food and it was the evening after Valentines... It's at the top of my AVL foodie list.
So Valentines is always difficult to plan. Cucina 24 is one of my favorites, but this meal was special. Their “family meal” was tapas on steroids. It just kept coming, and coming. Each dish a little more special, and the staff was great at explaining what it was and how it was prepared. It’s always great when you feel everyone is part of the experience.
Amazing food. We are still talking about it.
