Cucina 24 Ratings and Reviews
This was our first visit to Cucina24. The server did a nice job of helping us order appropriate portions. The restaurant is very cozy and intimate. The salads we had were tasty, but nothing special. We shared a entree the tagliatelle bolognese. While the pasta itself was very very good, the ragú was bland.
My date and I both chose main dishes from the new family style offering without committing to the entire set menu at $45 each. We had to ask if that option was available as the menu didn’t mention it. The waitress said anything was available on request and the pricing would be comparable to mains on the normal menu. As price wasn’t the issue we chose the duck leg and sea bass. To our surprise they were both priced at the low end of the normal mains. That impressed us on the value scale.
Both dishes were excellently crafted to highlight the flavor of the meats while adding depth with complementary flavors.
Our waitress was always there when we needed her and she seemed to have an excellent understanding of the evening’s menu and the extensive wine list. Excellent service.
Cucina 24 stands out in the many excellent culinary choices Asheville offers. It’s now on our top 3 list that we’ll return to over and over.
Absolutely loved our dinner at Cucina! We almost went back our second night in town. Specifically enjoyed our Tequlia cocktail, best bread ever and cheese plate, with an awesome menu including devious lamb ragu and branzino. Highly recommend - we’ll definitely be back to Asheville and Cucina!
Cucina24 is a long time Asheville Superstar. Always a treat, service is top-notch (thanks again, Kim! and Nick) and the food is just really damn delicious. Bravo, Cucina for maintaining excellence and integrity for so long in our ever-changing "food town" (remember when there were just a few stars?).
That was the best meal and dining experience we’ve had in a long time. Our waiter, Malcolm made two, NYC vegetarians so welcome and recommended delicious food choices (must try the cacio-e-pepe! The strateccia and black radish was wonderful as well). The wine pairings were lovely and dessert (apple crostada, moscato sorbet, and pana cotta were to die for). Ambience is apt for any occasion, but a special one is well-suited. Wonderful stop in Asheville and can’t wait to stop in again to try the delicious looking Foccacia and seasonal specials!
Would you know is truly one of the best restaurants we have been to in the United States! I could go on and on.. but just know I’ve been to a lot of good places and this tops the list. I wouldn't exactly call it traditional Italian. We ordered the tasting menu. It was outstanding in it's variety, portion sizes and service timing in brining out each dish! And they should raise their prices too !
First time in Asheville and this place had great reviews. Booked via open table a couple days prior. Great food and service. Actually got engaged and the staff worked with me to surprise my bride to be. Fantastic night and will have to come back for more memories.
Looking for an innovative dining experience look no further than Cucina 24. Alan our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We had the tasting dinner and it was fabulous The presentation and unique flavors melted in your mouth. Kudos to the chef. We are going again next week!
My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner there this weekend. My dinner was a whole grilled fish with roasted root vegetables, and the whole meal was delicious. My wife got the house-made pasta, which was also very good.
A note on the decor: I noticed that they did a great job integrating acoustical panels on the ceiling, which made the noise level in the high-occupancy early evening setting very comfortable, feeling lively while still allowing easy conversation at our table. That's an oversight at so many other nice restaurants, so I wanted to make sure to mention that thoughtful touch here.
Enjoyed an anniversary dinner last night. Katie was awesome. She offered personal opinions about each dish and wine selections. She was right on.
It was interesting seeing the chef/ staff never get into frenzy; yet see them plate food with amazing efficiency and consistency!
Each dish was simply incredible. Every plate on nearby tables looked incredible.
We will definitely be going back.
Excellent, best restaurant in Asheville. Interesting and delicious. I enjoyed the chefs multi-course cuisine. It was different, thrilling and very good. It was an adventure in dining. The staff are very professional, friendly, and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Good service and value. Food was thoughtful and generally tasty. Good wine and spirits list.
They offered a price fix menu as well as a la cart choices. Authentic Italian pasta dishes were available as well as interesting entrees. Noise level was acceptable, held a conversation with out-of-town friends.
Sat near open kitchen and watched how smoothly the kitchen ran. Wait staff recommended wine & beer. Loved the recommendations.
Food was prepared very well, high quality, excellent taste, very memorable meal. As good if not better than similar meals eaten in Italy.
Would highly recommend this when visiting Asheville.
