The server was very nice. Table was nice meal was tasty and everything just went well. Our friends from out of town were very satisfied
We came down to Asheville to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and came across this establishment. First, our wait server, Maggie, was absolutely wonderful and knows her food! We ordered the tasting menu (highly recommended) which featured many of the local products/farms. We were just delighted by the service, food and atmosphere and will definitely patronize Cucina 24 again when we come back to the Asheville area.
Excellent wait staff - drinks were awesome! Appetizers were all things I had never tried before and delicious! Woodstone pizza really good! Highly recommend.
Weekend visit to Asheville for some hiking, so we had to do some carb loading at Cucina 24. Great place for fresh creative pastas and pizzas. I had the spicy rigatoni with bacon, which was very good (though definitely spicy!). My wife had the scallops with asparagus, which she just raved over. Finally, my daughter, who can be somewhat hard to please, loved her wood fired cheese pizza. The wine list is very eclectic. Nothing but Italians, and many interesting blends that I've never seen anywhere else.
Great service, very quite good lunch, very favorable food
I'm so glad we ordered bread service, outstanding, we don't usually eat bread but this is the place to try the bread.
Little Gems salad was farm fresh and perfectly dressed.
Our pasta dishes were perfection.
We enjoyed a stellar dinner, excellent in every way. Super impressed
We had the tasting menu and it was our best dining experience of the year. Our food rivaled The French Laundry!. Our server Allen was very professional and welcoming. We usually dine several times a year and look forward to our next visit.
Amberjack dish was outstanding. Wonderful meal and great service.
We sat at the chefs bar and did the tasting menu with wine pairings. Service was excellent, wines great and food wonderful. Watching the staff prepare the food was a neat experience.
Good food, small menu but what we have we enjoyed. More wines by the glass would be nice, they do offer many Italian wines that are not the usual ones found in most restaurants so that was a plus. We were there on a Monday night so it was not too busy, the place emptied out by 8:30 or so, probably a bit livelier on the weekend nights.
We were going through a movie downtown and picked a new spot for dinner. Quite pleased and will return.
Fantastic flavors and quality ingredients. Exquisite meal!
Not a friendly greeting upon arrival - more of an attitude. Pricey for what is offered. Nothing affordable on the wine list. We delayed ordering our entrees but they arrived so quickly anyway and we were still eating our appetizers. Waitress noticed and made a joke about it. Didn't seem funny to us.
Second visit. Food is excellent. Well prepared and presented. Genuine Italian not chain food spaghetti and meatballs. Ambiance is cozy. Nice bar. Welcoming attitude. Service was a little slow at the get go otherwise satisfactory. Would recommend highly and will visit again
Unexpected dishes but we chose the chefs selections for the evening. Different but delicious. I would like to go back and try the classics. Overall wonderful experience.
One of the best all-round dining experiences, and the best meal, my wife and I have had in a long time. Went there on the strong recommendation of locals we met at the Guitar Bar, when we had gone for a pre-dinner drink. They also recommended the tasting menu, which we also followed after a long scrutiny of the extensive, mouth-watering menu. Our waiter, Becky, was excellent. We were unfamiliar with the wine list, and after asking us about our favorite common varieties, she selected perfect matches for our palates and the tasting menu. She also responded enthusiastically to my wife's request for a few modifications to items on the tasting menu (sensitive stomach) with detailed suggestions of alternatives. All the foregoing was done by memory--no note pad. This restaurant does everything right.
We have had two very bad meals in a row. Our bill was expensive, and we knew that going in but wanted to try Cucina one more time because in the past our meals were always excellent. Two times with bad meals is a strike out for us. We won't be back.
Drinks were special nice original cocktails and the Japanese scotch really good. Pasta was good one dish a little under cooked too all-dente and the other plate was over cooked. Sauces were good. Pizza was good Neapolitan style — super wood fired . Salads were super fresh.
I would go back we had - fun - the desert was outstanding unique!
Go you’ll have a great meal and fun
Friend knew we would be in Asheville, so gave me a gift certificate for Cucina 24. Had never been. Husband and I are relatively simple palate diners. Restaurant offers a tasting menu that provides individual entrees and sharing on other dishes. A little too “exotic” for me. However, we ordered a cheese plate that was terrific and our entrees were super tasty-mine, the tagliatelle bolognese, and, his, the seafood spaghetti. Nice, fresh dining spot. We will be back on our next Asheville trip.
Perfect before theatre meal. You should be on every list of top Asheville restaurants. We think you are doing for Italian what Curate did for Spanish.
Foos was outstanding and server was extemly helpful and professional.
Food was well prepared. Lighting just right
Homemade pasta was wonderful. I had the bolognese sauce that was simply delicious. The snail appetizer was ice cold causing it to lose all flavor. I’m a small eater but the size was ridiculously small. The frisée salad was also ice cold and tasteless. Bottles of wine start at $45. Waitress was as very attentive and pleasant with no rushing. If you like pasta I would recommend it.
We enjoyed the 8 course pre-fix menu very much. The food was very fresh and beautifully prepared
Everything about this restaurant was wonderful. Not only one of our favorite meals from our Asheville trip, but also one of our favorite meals of all time. We did the tasting menu and of all the dishes, not a single one disappointed. They were all phenomenal! Our server was also excellent! Would've eaten here every night of our trip. Please go!!!!
Whenever I’m in Asheville, I have to eat at Cucina 24 at least once. Love bringing in new folks or dining with locals. A real keeper!
Wonderful service, most delicious Italian in asheville. Over all wonderful meal and experience!
Brought our sister-in-law to Asheville for her birthday. Was our second time at Cucina 24 and did NOT disappoint. Our waitress Nicole was outstanding, food delivery was perfectly staggered, and taste was amazing. The PEI mussels were so perfectly cooked I initially thought they were undercooked but I was wrong. Their in-house made pasta was excellent, pizza great - makes me want to move to NC!
What a great place they carefully select the menu with seasonal items and their food is authentically Italian
The portions were very small and the prices were very high. Don't choose the special menu if you're hungry.
Great! Delicious food, excellent service.
We had such a wonderful evening! The service was absolutely fantastic and the food exceeded our expectations. We decided to do the tasting menu and we were not disappointed. The food was both creative and delicious!
One of the three best restaurants in Asheville and on par with Curate. Hands down our favorite for everything from date night to special occasions.
Unfortunately, we were seated near a very loud table of guests, who made so much noise, we could not enjoy our own conversation. I regularly dine at your restaurant. This was the first time I’ve had such an unpleasant experience there.
Disappointed with the service. The menu wasn't explained to us. So although I was prepared to pay for an expensive meal I wasn't prepared to pay the cost of five courses and only receive one dish. It was the only fish dish on the menu that I could eat... We were seated next to the computer station and could hear the waiters talk about their tables. No one ever came to check on us after our food arrived, no refill of water and no one asked if we wanted more drinks.
Very good experience. Excellent meals after difficult choices from the menu; too many good items. The tiny broccolini appetizer was superb and the Wagu Flat Iron steak in particular were very good.
Our favorite go to restaurant in Asheville. Service, food, spirits always the best.
