Our kitchen is focused on melding the traditions and philosophies of Italian cookery with ingredients found in the mountains of the American South.
We work closely with a number of area farms and our menus reflect produce that they bring to us.
Chef Brian has three children, Mia, Skylar and Luca.
Always my favorite place to eat in Asheville! The chefs tasting menu is a true foodies dream. Each dish is brought and explained - the food is thoughtful, original, and delicious. I can’t get enough of it. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and so gracious about it. Thank you so much for another amazing experience.
Chefs tasting is expensive but good!
The food at Cuchina 24 is excellent and service is very good. But the noise in the back room is painful. Surely something could be done to make that small room less loud — soundproofing or at least some fabric decorating to absorb sound. I love this restaurant but I never want to have another meal in that room.
Fantastic food and service can’t wait to go back!!
squid on pizza was too rubbery to chew (and we eat it often). Ended up just taking it off.
We so loved our dinner at Cucina 24 on Friday! We had the chef's tasting and it did not disappoint. A lot of food and each course kept getting better. I loved the pasta's and the octopus! Outstanding! Great waiter too
Best restaurant in Asheville bar none may even be our favorite restaurant in North Carolina.
Excellent unique food, superior service
I loved the idea of this restaurant. They strive to provide a very authentic italian dining experience. Service and atmosphere are great. However, food did not live up to its promise. I had the multi-course price-fix dinner. Too many of the items were overloaded with salt and olive oil.
The food was very good - held up to the recommendation, but we were late because the parking is utterly challenging. It took us about 10-15 mins, beyond our reservation time, to park. When we get seated and waited on, we are told that we could only order things off the menu that don’t take long to make. We were shocked. It wasn’t our fault that there was nowhere to park and never were we told that our seating was TIMED. So, though the food was good, that set the tone for the entire meal. Very disappointing.
Like being in Europe! Puglian wine, pizza, white anchovies, we were happy as clams.
Tasting menu for the win! For a table of two to six, it never disappoints.
Lovely setting, delicious and thoughtful food and wine selection.
Love it every time! The food does not disappoint!
Our server was excellent. Cocktails VG. New menu is poor - too expensive and small selection. Our dinners from a la carte menu were uninspired and poor tasting. Meatballs were awful- poor tasting and mushy!
Very much appreciate the chef changing the menu every 6 weeks to reflect a different district in Italy. Every time I have dinned at Cucina I appreciate it a bit more!
While we didn’t love our experience, we would still recommend this restaurant. Service was incredibly slow and the food was nothing incredible. It was also dark and we didn’t feel welcomed. Aubrey was very kind and she did the best she could given the kitchen backup.
We were a party of 4 sharing a cheese/nut plate. 1 male, 3 females. Our server removed the appetizer plates and salad fork from the 3 females before we were even done with our appetizer and when I tried to hold on to my knife, she literally pulled it out of my hand. When served with our main courses, she served the 3 females, leaving the male to wait for over 5 minutes for his meal to arrive to the table. We had an app and 4 main courses. Only one (the male) enjoyed it. General consensus was typical food and very bland. Super disappointed as a local indulging 3 out of town guests from New York promising them excellence. As for the next question, you're forcing me to choose an answer to continue with the survey. I would say "vegetarian friendly" but certainly not "good vegetarian options" . 3 of our meals were vegetarian and like I said, not impressed at all so only choosing that option because I'm being forced to.
I really enjoyed sampling the Pugliese Cuisine. I would recommend this restaurant to individuals who really want to try authentic Italian Cuisine.
Lighting was very dim to read small font menu. I felt that unless you were interested in the multi course meal option the menu was very limited. I had a steak that should have been medium rare and was more medium with very slight red center. I prefer to slice my steak vs it arriving already sliced.
Delicious Pizza and cucumber salad. Went back again the next night it was so good!
AMAZING... Chef Brian is a Star... he brought the local cuisine of a small town in the Boot of Italy to Asheville. The meal was fabulous. My compliments. Service was perfect.. Thank you Cucina24
This is a unique Italian Restraunt experience. The staff is very knowledgeable.
The food at Cucina 24 is inventive, delicious, and beautiful. The waitstaff is knowledgeable and their knowledge adds to the experience. Cucina 24 had the best food we’ve had in Asheville.
One of the best meals we’ve ever had. Everything was stellar and tasted absolutely incredible. Waitstaff was super knowledgeable and amazing. Will absolutely go back!
Perfect experience as always!
Excellent food and service.
We loved our waitress, but every plate we ordered was just awful...almost comically so.
Tasting menu was amazing! Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable with the food and wine menu. This is a must visit restaurant!!
We chose the tasting menu and were very pleased with the menu. Delicious! We’ll be back!
Cucina 24 remains excellent after numerous years. They have maintained a very high level of cuisine and service.
They keep exploring new dishes and only trot out the terrific ones.
Very highly recommended.
This food is delicious. The wait staff is very knowledgable. We ordered the family menu and every course was outstanding. Our only complaint was that we had to wait an additional 45 minutes beyond our reservation. The manager was apologetic and offered appetizers as a thank you for your patience.
Four of us went there for my husbands birthday, and it was fabulous. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and added to the fun. The food- superb! None of us could pick our favorite thing-- all outstanding. Menu had just changed and the offerings were diverse. Easily our favorite restaurant in Asheville and the closest thing to buying a ticket to Italy and eating in a high end restaurant there. Definitely recommend the olives, the butter lettuce salad, the swordfish, the mussels, the pasta with meatballs, the prosciutto with peaches, the olive oil cake, the pastry with fruit and ricotta. Like I said, everything was memorable and delicious. Sauces were subtle and well executed. Thank you to Cucina for a wonderful evening!
Everything was okay, but not notable in any way. The ambiance was pleasant and the staff cordial. Overall, nothing above the average.
amazing menu and food! - this was our first visit - we had many questions about the menu and our server, Miriam was awesome! - she explained the food and the tastes perfectly and made an outstanding wine selection! - if you are in Asheville and would like a great modern contemporary Italian menu with delicious food - don't miss cucina 24!
Always a good experience at Cucina24. Food was creative delicious fresh and new. Service impeccable and wine list superb. A favorite with us.
Terrific food. One of the best restaurants I have eaten in a long time and I live in DC.
fabulous restaurant with innovative cuisine ! always love to go here !
Excellent restaurant with friendly service and outstanding food. We went with the chef's tasting menu, and it was definitely the right choice, each course being unique and delicious.
We had the family style meal with 4 people. It was a great way to try several dishes. We all agreed that the food was exquisite. Would have liked a few more wine choices. Each server explained our food selections and were very knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.
