Our kitchen is focused on melding the traditions and philosophies of Italian cookery with ingredients found in the mountains of the American South.
We work closely with a number of area farms and our menus reflect produce that they bring to us.
Chef Brian has three children, Mia, Skylar and Luca.
The “for the table” meal was awesome. Amazing food, fun new experience and a very pleasant meal pace. I loved it. (Also the focaccia bread is still the reason I keep coming back! It is to die for... I was worried when it looked like it had changed, but it’s still amazing)
Really enjoyed the table tasting menu that was recommended. We definitely got to try some new dishes and left very satisfied (aka stuffed to the gills). It was an excellent start to our Asheville weekend get away!
My wife and I had a wonderful evening. The food, atmosphere and ambiance were terrific. Highly recommend.
If you are in Asheville; eat here. Have been to Asheville a few times throughout my life and haven’t been too impressed with the food scene. Stayed at the GPI, and decided to leave the grounds and go downtown for dinner. Was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had; not even mentioning the amazing service and talent behind everyone that worked there. A total production. Food was beyond amazing. And it wasn’t nearly as expensive as it could have been. If Becky is there, get her as your server!
Not only was the food delicious, the service was outstanding!
definitely one of Asheville's finest restaurants.. I'd say top gourmet Italian the area offers.
Cucina 24 came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. Make sure you try the bread, so so good. The pasta with fennel sausage was superb. Pizza with sausage and red onions was amazing as well. Topped off with a great glass of wine but sadly had no room for dessert. Next time we are in town we will remedy that! Thanks for a great evening.
one of the best pizzas in memory. we had the potato/gorgonzola/onion jam. gracious wine help. very nice noise level so we could hear each other talk. perhaps a little shy on vegetal options on the menu. a really nice experience.
Our dinner this past Saturday was all that we expected and more. We arrived expecting an enjoyable meal and excellent service. Our expectations were surpassed in all areas. Brian and his team do a great job.
Really good food with a unique Italian me menu, definitely recommend.
Read lots of great reviews but upon arrival, table not ready (not a huge deal) so we stopped at bar for a glass of wine. The couple eating at bar were going on about how awful the food was....bland pasta, cold Brussels sprouts. We debated leaving but decided to see it through and brush off their complaints.
Decided on the chefs tasting so we wouldn’t be locked into one bad dish and also in hopes it showcased the kitchens Best dishes....wrong. Everything was either cold or flavorless or both.
The table had a lovely view outside but it was absolutely freeezing...it was a snowing cold night and it was almost like sitting outside. We used our jackets to try to block the cold air.
Overall, most disappointing meal in Ashville over the course of 4 days. I cannot fathom how they have so many positive reviews.
Fantastic meal! Server was nice and attentive. Loved location and food was amazing. I recommend the tasting menu.
Best Italian on this side of the pond!! Fresh pasta and sauces off the charts. Try Bolognese sauce--wow!
NYE: service was great, but the food wasn’t quite what I’d expected in terms of finish and entree portion. Really would have preferred cacio pepe rather than hominy prepared in that style. But everyone was lovely, so I’d recommend going on a regular evening.
Last minute NYE reservation for the set meal. Which was outstanding - especially the pasta dish. Perfect sitting at counter and enjoying watching the kitchen.
Fantastic NYE dinner. Simply perfect. Did not spare the black truffles.
Excellent New Years dinner! Staff was very efficient and personable. We had a great meal and tried some new wines!
Absolutely fantastic meal with unique flavors, textures, and pairings — a true foodie experience. The creamy polenta with mushrooms was decadent and the brasato al Barolo was absolutely luscious. My friend and I weren’t hungry enough for the full chef’s table lineup but our charming server told us we could order items from that lineup a la carte. It was perfect. Highly recommended!
It was recommended by a friend who is a restaurant critic and foodie that we go to Cucina 24 when we visit Asheville and it did not disappoint. Reminded us of our meals on our trip to Italy. The olives and focaccia as a starter were simply divine. The pasta dishes we ordered were perfect. Atmosphere so inviting. We will return when back in Asheville.
The service was ok but the food was hard to understand and even when I asked questions, it was not effectively explained
First of all...best bread I have ever had. I had to have the waitress take it away before I ate the entire loaf. Soft, salty, delish!!
The pasta was different but so good. Not tiny portions but not so massive you felt sick.
The place was awesome!
Fantastic spot for my wife’s 40th!!
Sorry Cucina, we won’t be back. Have tried the restaurant several times over the past 4 years. Have also recommended it to visitors. The quality of the food and service have been steadily declining. Too bad, because we really used to like it.
Loved the food and the service was impeccable. The pesto was a touch on the salty side and the restaurant was just a bit chilly, but all in all a wonderful experience!
My wife and I came here for dinner during a recent trip to Ashville. Our waiter greeted us and explained how our dinner would be relaxed. We ordered to appetizers, the olives and the cheese plate. The cheeses were good and came with well paired accompaniments. We ordered the rigatoni amatriciana for us to share to and then the zuppa di pesce also to be shared. As soon as the appetizers were removed, the pasta and the entree both arrived at the same time. I do expect that at a high price restaurant and especially one touting its relaxed service and atmosphere, that my courses will be brought out separately and with enough time to finish them before the next course arrives. The fish dish was well prepared. The pasta sauce was dense and dry.
Cozy/Romantic atmosphere. Delicious pizzas. Interesting cocktail menu.
We loved Christmas Eve dinner but felt it was quite expensive. Service was outstanding. Wine was excellent.
Overall great. Carb dishes were a bit bland.
Great! I come almost every time I’m in town!
We had 2 do their “signature” dishes - pasta. Both were bland but the one with tomato sauce with cheeks had a bitter aftertaste. Will not waste my money going there again.
Wonderful as always! One of our favorite restaurants!
Visiting Asheville for the first time. Cucina 24 was close had good ratings and was close so we decided to try it. We leaned they have a fixed price 4 course menu and a few items ala carte. The fixed price menu didn't appeal to us, not because of cost, but none of the options sounded appetizing to our palates. We chose their tagliatelle ragu and rigatoni from the ala carte side and their focaccia bread. The best thing was the bread. It was absolutely light as a feather inside and slight crunch outside. It was a huge hunk of bread and we devoured it, in spite of us both being on low carb diets. The rigatoni was very pleasant, but the tagliatelle was flat. I asked for salt, and other seasoning to punch it up. Lindsey, our server, graciously offered to take it back to the chef to increase the flavor. It was delicious when it came back. The addition of some garlic and a hint more tomato, and some salt really enhanced the dish. We really appreciated Chef Tony and our server Lindsey going the extra mile and accommodating our request. Even though a limited menu for an Italian restaurant, we definitely recommend it.
Jimmy killed the pizza and the wait staff was exceptional
The fresh pasta was wonderful, along with the Focaccia Bread! The salad didn’t sound appealing, so I didn’t try it. It was a little too loud for my taste!
We enjoyed the tasting
food and drinks were perfect - only minor complaint is that our server took our bread plate when we weren’t done using it, and she took our cocktails before we were finished.
Overpriced food. Bland, unimpressive tasting menu, but great service. Plenty of other great restaurants to check out in Asheville. Skip this one.
