   Our appetizers - tiger prawns and oysters Rockefeller- were great. I got the pork marsala entree and the pork was very underdone. It also really needed a potato or something to compliment it. The entrees seemed very basic for the cost. Drinks were good and the atmosphere is very nice. I feel we would have been more satisfied at the other restaurant.

   We ate at the Crystal Room on the first night of a visit to Bedford Springs Spa and Resort. It was perfect for reconnecting with friends of over 40 years. Our server, Stephen made the dinner so pleasant. He is very engaging and personable. We all enjoyed our dinner entrees---Salmon, Scallops and a special of Braised Short Ribs. Very special evening for me and my Penn State college friends.

   The night we were there (Monday in early June 2024) it was very quiet and only two other tables were seated. We loved it!! We could hear ourselves talk, and the food and service was spectacular! The hostess came and checked on us twice and Ashley, our Server, was superb. She checked on us as much as was necessary and gave us space. The timing and delivery of each course was perfect. The chefs (3 were working and you could observe them in the kitchen) prepared each course specific to our request. The only recommendation we might make would be to have a more extensive menu selection. We would definitely dine here again!

   We loved our stay at Bedford Springs & enjoyed the Frontier Tavern & Tillys at the Clubhouse. The Crystal Dining Room for breakfast was great (Liz is a wonderful server) but we were very disappointed with our dinner at the Crystal Dining Room. The tuna tartar appetizer was tasteless, the pork Marsala was tender but drowning in gravy & the pasta entree had a strange burnt taste & was inedible. We spent $182 for two of us and it was a huge disappointment. So much so that we canceled dinner at 1796 Steakhouse the following night fearing it would be another expensive meal that was a disappointment. For such a nice resort we expected more from the “upscale” restaurant.

   Great sophisticated dining experience here! The food is top notch and the server in the evening is well trained and conversational. We will be back!

   This is a delightful establishment at a wonderful old historic resort in the Pennsylvania mountains that was brilliantly restored and reopened in 2007. Our waiter, Stephen, was personable and efficient and checked in regularly to make sure we were happy. We were there on a Monday night so it was relatively quiet, but the entrees were stellar and the surroundings are lovely. The prices are not modest, but the preparations were terrific and the quality very memorable. I heartily recommend Crystal Dining Room. (The breakfast buffets are terrific, as well…)

    Steven was an incredible server. He was so kind and helpful and made sure everything on my plate was celiac safe. It was a great meal and I did not get sick at all. Would definitely go back!
