Crudo Wood Fired Taverna Ratings and Reviews
Warm greeting by hostess, and table was ready on time!! Enjoyed the calamari appetizer. Entrées were salmon, and blackened shrimp/scallops, both were excellent. Total tab with wine, apps, entree, and desert was around $100. Overall rating 4.5+ is well deserved.
Their chicken parmesan was out of this world, excellent! I would say it's the best I have ever had. Our server was great, very attentive, really excellent as well.
I highly recommend this restaurant. That said, it's not inexpensive by any stretch. However, if you're paying a lot more than a normal family style restaurant you expect more by way of the food. And these folks not only stepped up to the plate, they knocked it out of the park! Excellent place to go! We'll be back again soon!
The food was great. Very interesting combinations and flavors. The service was fantastic. Our server was helpful, made suggestions, and even offered to request a special request of the chef. Service and food was the highlight.
The restaurant is pretty small, and felt a little cramped. Due to that, it gets pretty loud.
This place is amazing. It has great food and great atmosphere. Service is also really good. If you have something to celebrate come to this place. Really good menu and always great specials beside their menu. I've been there twice and can't wait to go back again
Had been to Osteria Panevino numerous times, and knew that Crudo was the chef's original restaurant in Frisco. I have been wanting to plan a business lunch here for a long time, and I wasn't disappointed. The menu was similar with the addition of the Crudo options. I opted for a salad this time (the Cobb Tower), but it was made perfectly.
First time visit so did not know what to expect. Overall the food was delicious and well presented. Our sever Filipe was the best. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Now I know why it is a Taverna.
We were seated in the bar which I did not like. If I wanted to go to a bar with all the commotion and noise to would have. I would like to go to the restaurant again but if I am seated in the bar I will not stay nor will I go back.
The quality of the food and service deserves better space with a noise level that is tolerable.
Having been to this restaurant over dozen times, I feel like I'm pretty qualified to comment on it. It has been slipping and continues to slip. I've yet to be there that a waiter didn't drop a plate or tray of food on the floor with a loud crash that startles everybody. The tables are crammed so close together you feel like you're with a random group of people. The cheap menus (which never change) look like they've been handled by 1,000 people before you. Try to ask for any special treatment as a regular and you're sure to be disappointed. The staff are throw-aways from TruFire across the street. The location is really all this restaurant has going for it.
We had a great time at Crudo. The wine recommendation was exceptional; Hourglass. There were too many good looking items on the menu to try them all. The ribeye crostini was delicious. The caprese was also great, but needed a better tomato and some salt. Loved the paperadelle.
Big fan...had a great time. Food was excellent and our waiter Carlos made the night special. We were a party of 6 and all enjoyed it. We will be back. -- Only negative is noise level. We were seated by the kitchen so it was tough to hear certain parts of our group. Despite that, Crudo is a great restuant - a neighborhood gem.
Excellent food at a great price. Service is always exceptional and the bartenders know what they're doing. It's a favorite spot for locals ... a reservation is recommended for dinner as it's always busy. There is solo or duo entertainment most evenings which adds to the atmosphere.
Wife's Moscow mule had a hair on the mug. Ordered rum & Coke and the soda was completely flat, waiter brought a new drink and the soda was still off. The wait staff was very courteous about those two issues. My wife liked her fish special. My parpadelle bolognese was OK. The smallness of the the restaurant forces the dining room tables to be to close together and you can therefore hear everyone else's conversations. Overall I'd have to give the experience a 3.5/5.
We love this place and have been there many times. The only issue that keeps coming up is that it's so loud in there that you can barely hear the person across the table from you. There are MANY times large groups of extremely loud, and sometimes over-served women who greatly add to the noise.
Probably the best hidden gem.. anunexpected unique find! The bartenders are personable and the environment is elegant and inviting. Our server, Micah was absolutely wonderful. He made our evening memorable and relaxing.. we were celebrating 2 special occasions and I couldn't have picked a better place to have celebrated!!
We've been going to Crudo's since their soft-opening. Have always enjoyed the food, wine and service. This last time was a bit un-nerving and the first time I ever had a reason to complain. First we had to ask them twice to turn down the music ...I couldn't hear the other people talking at our table ...1.5 feet away!!! Second, we were seated by the window (in the patio) and the sun was blinding for two of us. Our waiter closed the shades per our request, but three times other waiters opened them, without even asking if we minded! Everybody & place has a bad night and I'm hoping that was our first/only time ...so I still plan on returning for another wonderful meal and a few bottles of wine.
