Crudo Wood Fired Taverna
The food was better than I expected. It was quite nice and the server attentive.
Food is always on par, fresh and delicious. The staff is attentive and we always leave wanting to book our next reservation
Good service and food.
Everything was wonderful, from the staff to the food. We could not have had a better experience.
We really enjoyed Crudo, the food was very good along with the service. I usually do not
give out five stars but this one was close. I want to go back again and see if it is as consistent
as the first time. I liked that the owner also came over to our table to see if everything was okay.
I had the lobster ravioli it was very good and my wife loved her salmon.
Fresh ingredients, nice waitstaff, great menu selection
Waitress was more interested in flirting with two men instead of our table. Had to ask to take our order, more drinks, take plates away, and bill. Proceeds to tell us that they are having a changeover with management and owners. The restaurant was out of several fish items. Waitress should of told us that before we decided on our entrees.
Overall bad experience!
We have dined at Crudo several times and always left having enjoyed our food and the experience immensely. We brought out-of-town guests to Crudo, expecting fabulous food and were very disappointed. Our waiter did an OK job, but only came back to check on us once during our meal. The biggest problem was the food. Two of us ordered the papardelle bolognese and while one plate was piping hot, mine was just slightly above stone cold. My husband was looking forward to the gnocchi (his fave) and it, too, was served lukewarm at best. My brother enjoyed his ravioli, but the portion size was very small. He was also very disappointed in his “extremely sour” Long Island Ice Tea.” Sadly, we will choose another option next time we want Italian food.
Pizza-excellent. Salmon-excellent. Crab crostini- very good. Restuarant A/C was struggling to keep up with the very hot evening. Worth checking out, though.
We live in TX and of all the places a restaurant is suppose to have the comfort level at 100%
The temperature was unbearable it was the most uncomfortable experience I and my friends have ever had.
We asked the host a few times of the temperature and we kept getting different answers.
So sad I won’t be going again nor will I recommend the place to anyone.
I would have given 5 stars for all categories except it was 85 degrees in the restaurant and we were so uncomfortable that we hurried our meal to get out of there, however our food and service were excellent!! We would have stayed and enjoyed another bottle of wine and dessert had it not been sweltering
Food was excellent! The prosciutto gnocchi was topnotch.
Food was excellent. Ernesto was fabulous. Perfect night for my birthday. We will definitely be back again and again.
Unfortunately, 3rd time in a row the table we reserved was not available when we arrived. We were regularly going with friends on Friday night, but thought maybe a Thurs would be easier to get the table we requested. Open table reservation in advance, phone call two hours prior to confirm, and still the only table in the entire restaurant that was taken when we arrived was the table we requested? We did arrive early, and offered to wait for the table, but the couple seated at our 4 top through no fault of their own, were there way past our reservation time. The hostess agreed it was her fault, but why make a reservation when it's not honored?
Food was delicious as always, but not a good location for a nice dinner for two. Volume in the bar area was way too loud with the live music. The anterior dinning area was okay until a loud group of six showed up. Small room with all hard surfaces = echo chamber.
The food was excellent! Service was slow being a Saturday night and the chairs were very uncomfortable. The blackened shrimp linguine and red fish were both amazing. Limoncello cake for dessert is a must!
As always, the food was delicious. We were concerned about going on a Saturday night because of the noise level we’ve experienced in the past (and we were with friends whom we wanted to visit with), but this time we had a table in the back and it worked perfectly. We enjoyed talking with the owner and hearing about being born in Macedonia.
Nice evening, food was very good ( not sure it was true bolognese) but good.
Messaged it was my wife's birthday but didn't order dessert. Actually took home half the food!
Not acknowledged/ Was I supposed to order dessert for the recognition?
The taste of the food was delicious, however, for $30 a plate, I think we all expected more than 3 shrimp as our entree. The vegetables were cut into slivers, two-three miniature florets of broccoli and a few scrapings of zucchini; my mother, who is a very small person and eats very little, commented that when she is able to eat everything on her plate then the portions have been quite small. The focaccia bread was very good as was the calamari - although, once again, the vegetable portions included in that were so infinitesimal that we could barely tell what they were. The flavors of the food were very good, the three scallops that I had were exceptional, but the price of the food compared to the quantity was ridiculous.
Although my husband and I like to support local owners/restaurants and we have been to Crudo several times, our last experience was extremely disappointing. It was a Thursday night; restaurant was not full. When we arrived the hostess confirmed we were celebrating a birthday (per the Open Air note). Not sure why she was so anxious to confirm since it was never mentioned or acknowledged again. Service was slow in general but drinks from the bar exceptionally slow. Food started to arrive at the table and immediately we noticed it was not our order. The gentleman walked away with the waiter returning with the same food, giving my husband an entrée which he had not ordered. Again, we stated that was not what he ordered and the waiter left the table leaving the entrée. He did return shortly and confirmed the entrée was wrong. By this time, my husband just said he would eat it. Not one birthday acknowledgment, not one suggestion of some kind of credit for the wrong entrée … just a very expensive check. It is unfortunate but we will not be back.
Nice evening. Food, service and music. Thx.
My recommendation comes with reservation. All other visits to this restaurant were very satisfactory. My only criticism would be that is is loud when crowded. Todays visit was my first at lunch time. Although I have always previously considered the food excellent, on this visit I ordered a dish with crabmeat as did my friend. We both agreed that it did not taste fresh. I would definitely ask about freshness were I ordering this again.
Great food and great service!! Had the seafood trio, which was phenomenal! Also had the flat iron steak with crab, and mushroom risotto. The risotto was better than the steak. The Raven cocktail is a must!! Can't wait to go back for the drink and the seafood trio!
We were traveling to Dallas to catch a flight to Bonaire. We were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to get a late reservation and how wonderful the food was. Would definitely recommend! The red fish and risotto was wonderful!!! I cleaned my plate and didn’t think twice 😉
Food is good. Service was terrible. Management did not take responsibility. Their response to a complaint: "She's new." putting it all on the server when it was obvious there was not enough staff to handle the peak on Friday evening.
Carlos was amazing and as usual the food was excellent!
Our third time at restaurant with kids... great dinner and night out. We love this place!
No comment other than we enjoyed our time at the restaurant.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. They greeted us and our son immediately as we entered the restaurant. The host actually took our son’s hand and walked him to our table. The food was amazing! The shrimp and scallops were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The bread and cocktails were also delicious. We will be back! Loved it!!
Just delicious. We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer. Very good. I had the Seafood Ravioli which is outstanding....seafood lovers will love. Hubby had the Paella which was also good. We will be back!
Crudo is always wonderful!! The food is great!
Crudo never disappoints! The food and wine was delightful, and we had excellent service from our favorite waitress!
We go there every other weekend and always have a great experience - my favorite date night spot. But this occasion was definitely an off night for service. Hope it was a one-off and not a trend.
We always find Crudo a nice place to dine. Food is consistent. However, the service is always lacking, and is getting worse each time we visit. Make sure you don’t sit next to a large group because you will be ignored and the acoustics is horrible so you won’t be able to hear any conversation, which is disappointing for a local restaurant with good food. Except for the horrible experience with the wait staff the last two times, the food and convenience of its location I would still go back.
Loved everything about it. Food was amazing service was great and will definitely be back.
Excellent service. Food was very good with a nice wine list.
