CR's The Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Restaurant was very nice, food was good but nothing over the top. Would not recommend for intimacy or romance, very close seating and you can hear conversations from other patrons. Service was top notch, waitress was perfect. Hostess was lovely and cheerful as well, very happy to be at her job which was to say the least quite refreshing. No long faces here staff was very happy to accommodate. For that reason alone I loved the restaurant, just would not recommend if you were looking for romance unless there is another spot located on site that I am not aware of and there very well could be you should ask. The decor was wonderful if you like dark. Cocktail list was good but nothing captivating. I would definitely go back.
We went for a late Valentine's date. The servers (Wendy and Sam) were well informed and friendly! The foods were fresh, delicious and filling. We loved the interactive Bloody Mary Bar as it was well stocked with a variety of spices and condiments and it had bacon!😁 The ginger habanero margarita could have used a little more habanero so if you like spicy ask for it to be so. BUT that was the best margarita I have ever been served in a restaurant or bar......ever! Kudos to the entire staff for an awesome experience. And a special thank you to Manager Tonia for ensuring the staff, food and atmosphere was on point and memorable.
Great place and clearly popular! We took the very last parking spot for our 6:45 reservation. The martini was excellent. Butternut and apple as well as beet salad were nicely done. My Prime rib was cooked perfectly and the chicken under a brick was very good. We finished with coffee and donuts! The service at CR’s was spot on for a busy Saturday night. We will certainly be back.
Our party of 6 met at the bar for a drink prior to being seated. Our bartenders were terrific and i had perhaps the best Manhattan I’ve ever had, anywhere. We were seat on time for our 8:30 reservation, we had a very professional friendly waitress. All of the meals came together, and all of us had delicious meals. We ordered three desserts and shared them. They were the perfect compliment to our meals. This was I believe my forth visit to CR’s, it’s one of my favorite restaurants.
CR's is consistantly good , a great menu with local sourced productsand service that is spot on The restaurant itself very comfortable with a nice bar area . One of my pet pieves is to be served luke warm meals that have been sitting in the kitchen , a noteable take a way from dining at CR's is their attention to detail and servering hot food or as it should be .Good job.
The staff was especially warm and attentive. We weren’t ever rushed. Our food was perfectly cooked. We had hangar steak with house made truffled gnocchi and chicken piccata. Appetizer of freshly made lobster Rangoon. All was delicious. The atmosphere was upscale without being pretentious , yet still casual. I haven’t seen this level of service in a very long time. I will definitely be back.
The food was top dollar for a good, not great meal. The cup of clam chowder was mostly potatoes. The second cup that was requested was better and plentiful.
My main disappointing issue was the Kitchen.
The main course arrived warm/cool. When I sent it back it took over 15 minutes to replace. By the time it came back the rest my party had finished their meals. I was so annoyed I ended up taking two bites and took the rest at home.
This was the second time we had dinner at CR's and it was every bit as good as the first time, (which had been in December). The service, dinner specials selections, and meals were outstanding. Our waitress recommended a different wine and we were pleasantly surprised.
The food was fine, but nothing special. I was surprised at the 5 star rating it received. It was very busy and I imagine that the basic menu appeals to a broad number of people. So if you want to get out and try something new it's worth it, but I'm not sure I'd go back with all the other interesting, more creative places in the area.
We were there on a very quiet Sunday with a reservation. We were seated at an odd table for 2 when almost every booth (except one) was unoccupied. Was quite an ordeal when I asked if we could possibly sit in a booth.
Food was good but not great, strangely sweet cauliflower served with the blackened salmon.
This is only the second time I have dined her for dinner and I thought the second time around was as great as my first time. Wanted a place with great atmosphere, food, etc., as my old friends from High school were in town. Our server from the start was very personable, friendly and efficient. We each ordered different martini style drinks and all were delicious. For dinner, each of us ordered something different. I had tried the "chicken under a brick" the last time I was there and it was so good that I recommended it to my friend. I ordered the Scallops served with Gnocchi and my other friend ordered the short ribs as we were told it was a very popular dish. Everything was delicious. We did have one minor snafu with the chicken, but as soon as we brought it to our server's attention she immediately handled it as well as the restaurant manager who promptly stopped by our table to apologize . They took care of the problem so quickly and professionally that I give them 5 stars just for that. Mistakes happen...it is how they handle it that counts. After dinner, we had asked if there was a free table near the bar where the fireplace is and our waitress said yes and even "reserved" the table for us right in front of the fireplace where we enjoyed one last nightcap. Again, overall my friends and I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service...3 things that I feel are the most important when dining out. Highly recommend CRs!!!
