Crow's Nest - Hotel Captain Cook
Great services and atmosphere. Very relaxing and calm .
Very good food, flexible in response to wishes, wonderful view, little stressed but friendly waiter
Fantastic food, great service, outstanding views.
Service was amazing. Views were spectacular and food was perfect.
Utter perfection from the mountain view to the service to the divine meals to the perfect wine and the decadent dessert. Three hours passed without our even being aware.
Outstanding service and meal.
Excellent food and service, great view, excellent noise level. Aaron and his crew took excellent care of us. Really enjoyed it. Worth the price.
The service and the view were outstanding and the food was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. A very enjoyable evening.
Helpful wait staff tho orders to kitchen were not followed
Several waiters but not the attention expected at a 4* restaurant
Excellent dining experience; great view of the city/inlet. Will be coming back!
Appetizers portion was a little small. Entree was very good. The steak and pork chop was a portion. Just would have liked a little more sides.
Nice atmosphere. King Crab was excellent but pricey. Brocolinni was too salty, and ribeye was only adequate.
Always an amazing dinner. The staff knows the menu well, the chefs are amazing. Always a great meal!
Great date night for folks who want to fancy. Food was pricey.
The service was excellent!
Usually really like this place, but having a bus in the salad was a little much. Told our waiter but he seemed unphased. The rest of the meals were great as usual, but bugs in the salad and nothing done about is is not acceptable at a place like this in my opinion
Tasha was an amazing server - attentive and genuinely friendly. Every bite from the bread, corn chowder, entrees, dessert and even after-dinner grand marnier chocolates was superb! The music and the view were also spectacular. This was our first visit and we decided to celebrate a birthday there. Crow’s Nest did not disappoint and we will definitely be returning.
Soup & Salad:
King Crab Bisque
Crow’s Nest Caesar
King Crab legs and drawn butter
Great view for sure, however booked a 7.45pm we showed up 10 minutes before just to be told to wait and I am pretty sure our table was ready. Crumbles on the chairs is not a good sign for these type of reastaurants. Our Paella wasn't a great choice for 72$ , in terms of portion , cooked rice and also lacking of prawns that should have been in the plate. Quite disappointed this time.
The entire experience at the Crow's Nest was amazing. It was my girlfriend and I first real date here in Alaska and it couldn't be more amazed.
Service was perfunctory. Serving size miniscule. Don't go there for dinner if you're hungry. Views are spectacular. I've been there several times before.... this was the worst experience in terms of service, quantity of food and value.
Food was beautifully plated and exquisitely delicious, plus a perfect view of sunlight on the water.
Food quality has declined over time. We ordered raw oysters - they arrived loooking very dried out and unappetizing. The waiter admitted that they had been pre-shucked (who knows when). Both of our fish dishes were overcooked and dry. Service was spotty. Prices were high for what we received. This used to be a great place for dining and scenic viewing. Sadly, not any more.
Great service and food.
It was our anniversary, and we enjoyed the time together.
The staff was very helpful and friendly
Everything was wonderful except for the vegan meal I ordered. I indicated I was vegan when I made the reservation a day ahead. I also asked our waiter if the chef would mind accommodating me and was told it was totally fine. I was so disappointed with what was mostly a block of unseasoned tofu and bland ramen noodles, especially in cosmopolitan Anchorage and one of the most renowned restaurants. To be fair, I was not charged for my dinner and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his. With whole-foods, plant-based diets being a huge trend these days, I hope the next experience/meal will be more thoughtfully prepared.
We had a lot of fish on our journey so we opted for the pork chop. It was beyond fabulous!
Excellent romantic birthday meal for my wife and me. The food was creative, tasty, and rich, but not heavy with oil. The portions were modest but appropriate, relative to the calories in each plate. The service was professional and the servers worked well as a team to ensure we had a seamless experience. The ambiance was "elevated" and lent itself well to our conversation. It was a pricey meal, no doubt, but we had a splendid time and considered it worth the cost for once-a-year fine dining.
The food was great. The service was very slow but everyone was nice.
A hidden gem in Anchorage. 5 stars all the way!
Food was slow to get at the table but it was worth the wait
It was great, as always -
until I got to the 50 word character mandate on the review
My Husband and I went to dinner night before last at Crows Nest. It was one of the best dinners, wait staff, and view we’ve ever had. Wish I had asked our waitress what her name was... she was exceptional ! Will definitely return! Thanks to Open Table.
One of my favorite place, the food is delicious, great atmosphere. The price is right considering the panoramic view of the mountain.
Spectacular view! Had a great meal with a great view of Anchorage and the mountains.
Excellent service. Very nice food. Super view.
Came here for our anniversary and had a great time. Service was on point and food was tasty. We would come here again.
For our first dinner in Anchorage, we chose this fine dining restaurant based on Yelp reviews praising it for their food, service and atmosphere. We were not disappointed!
Always a great dinning experience
Wonderful view of Anchorage and surroundings. Excellent service.
