Never been disappointed with the food at The Crown & Sandys. However on this occasion our evening was spoilt by a very noisy adjoining table of 6 ladies. We realise that we could have asked to be moved but we had our starters when the ladies arrived. We were hoping for some relief when their food arrived but that didn't happen until we were leaving. I don't think the management are to blame its really down to consideration of fellow diners.

A fantastic experience however we both felt the portion size on our starters and on our main courses were smaller than expected. The quality of the food was great but we probably won't visit again due to still feeling hungry after we left unfortunately. This may be due to ordering off the specials menus where it was a deal for a starter and a main, however if their main menu portion sizes are the same we will probably pass. No complaints other than that. Excellent place, fast service and the staff were great.

Fantastic Sunday dinner. We ate from a menu deal - some had starters others puddings but it was all delicious. This was an outing for a birthday and it didn’t disappoint. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for well-cooked and presented food (plenty of it) a great selection and friendly service. We’ve been before and will definitely book again. The restaurant/pub is very attractive, well decorated and has a large carpark so can’t fault it.

Great Sunday roast, if a bit too big, no need for the huge side dish of veg, especially just for one. Service good except for when I entered, staff seemed distracted and talking to each other. But friendly when serving. Back room a bit quiet. Beef was lovely, I had blackcurrant and mango sorbet to finish which was refreshing.

Excellent as always! The food is excellent quality, always well presented and nice and hot! The staff are friendly and helpful, the set menu is such good value and the room is well laid out and comfortable!
