Tasty food, good sized portions. The lasagne is "melt in your mouth" fresh, the tomato soup seemed to have a bit of curry for spice. Great place to eat before a performance at Seattle Center--reservations needed though as this is a popular spot for a great meal.
Crow is a great place to go for dinner before an opera performance. The food never disappoints and the menu is always changing which makes it interesting.
What a nice discovery! In a slightly out of the way spot near Seattle Center is this small, but exceptional restaurant we enjoyed immensely. Everything we had on this short, changeable menu was superb, full of flavor and well-thought-out. And the creative cocktails were excellent. We’ll be back!
Very good but a bit noisy.
Love this hidden gem!
Too loud too slow
We love this spot - we sat at the Chef's table in the back of the restaurant and enjoyed watching all the staging and preparation start-to-finish. Everything looks amazing - always hard to choose! Our meals were delicious, heathy and beautifully presented. This is our go-to spot when we have an event at the Seattle Center!
Crow is great, the food is constantly good, but this evening the service was slow and impersonal, and it was cold sitting by the entry door. But we'll be go back!
Been dining here for years and never had a meal that disappointed. Love to sit at the chef's table and watch the food being prepared. Crow is a gem that keeps on sparkling....
Although the room is a little worn/tired, the place is still cozy and the service excellent. They offer 25 bottles of wine for $25, and have some nice selections. The roasted chicken is still to die for (that juicy sauce!) and the chopped salad was delicious, fresh, and full of goodies.
This is a neighborhood spot you could visit on a regular basis.
I love Crow but will not come back if I am given a table like we had this time. It was pulled out into the aisle to accommodate a heater, was near the door so it was cold despite the heater and was worse than being stuck next to the kitchen.
Consistently delicious for years. Always a pleasure to return & get what you expect.
Opera, great experience a little surprised by health department rating “Good”. That is sad. I know from pat experience that a kitchen is where diners do not wish to see.
Service was a bit off. Asked to be moved to a table away from the door, it was chilly, was told there where no tables. Seated another couple or two after us in those spots. Food was tasty but a bit slow and in the end they’re signature lasagna came a bit cold and undercooked
My date and I shared the meats and cheeses plates. Just the right amount of attention from our server. No pressure to leave or hurry. I definitely recommend dining here. We will be back for a full meal soon.
Fabulous............we eat here often before attending the opera, ballet or The Rep. Food is always excellent and the service outstanding.
Sat at the chef’s counter. Throughly enjoyed our pre-theatre dinner. Staff were friendly and owner was attentive to diners. Food was great!
One of the best in Seattle. Never disappoints. Lasagna is alway excellent! Sunchoke soup was superb. We try to go at least once a month!
This is a great restaurant for fine food, superb service and much fun. We eat here often for birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. The lasagna is world class, the pork chop so tender and delicious; we also love the smashed potato and the tasty green beans. The Crow can be rather expensive but you receive an excellent meal and great service. When compared to other quality Seattle restaurants, it is excellent value. It can be quite noisy but that is part of the ambiance. Go there and enjoy the restaurant yourself!
Really lovely time! Food was delicious, and the service was attentive without being smothering or harassing. My only complaint was the table layout. They have three tables right by the front door, all of which are fairly close together - they actually tried to seat three different parties at the table next to us, and the first two requested a different table. Sitting that close to another party is a bit awkward, and you got hit with a blast of cold air every time the front door opened. Other than that, everything was perfect! They have a 25-for-20 deal on wine bottles Sunday (and Monday?) that is totally worth taking advantage of!
I brought my family here before a show at McCaw. While a bit noisy for my older parents, the rest of us didn't mind the noise level. The handcrafted cocktails were creative and delicious, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Our server was very sweet and helped ensure we got to our show on time. We will definitely be back! :)
Love, love, love Crow! It's our go-to restaurant when we are going to the Ballet or when we want a delicious meal on Queen Anne. We love the food and the people! We eat at the chef's counter most of the time and really enjoy watching them prepare delicious food! Their menu is wonderful and the food is hearty. Great flavor combinations and beautiful presentation. You won't be disappointed!
The staff was very disorganized - we had reservations and had to wait about 10 minutes while the hostess tried to work with the couple that walked in ahead of us. We just asked to be seated at either the bar or the chef’s counter and there were two seats open at the bar. She said give her a minute to wipe it down and set the places then took off towards the back. While we waited for her to get back, two people walked in and took the bar seats without talking to anyone. Annoying! When the hostess got back several minutes later, she got us squared away but it was a lot of time standing in a very small entry area, standing next to a couple of tables they tucked back around the corner because there was nowhere else to stand. Once seated, service even at the bar was slow. Took us 15 minutes to get our first drink and every time we wanted to order more, it took several attempts to get the attention of the over worked bartender. All that said, the food was very good. The bartender was adept at mixing great cocktails and we were able to relax and enjoy the rest of the dinner. Maybe we hit on a bad / over busy night? Not sure, but since we were in from out of town we might not get a chance to find out! Food was worth the trip though - highly recommend going, just put on your patience panties!
We arrived early on Friday pm and it was quite busy already. Everything was quite good. Less than 5 stars as the service gave us our check before we had finished for the night and it took us a while to get the right waitress back to request additional drinks. Lovely creole dish.
Love our neighborhood gem. Good food, ambience, service. Great for pre-show dinner or drinks.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant with consistently good food.
Oysters were fresh and tasty. Polenta was creamy and yummy. Bartender could have used some help which he did get after awhile. The lasagna looked fantastic and the customer eating it remarked it was the best ever so we’ll try that next time, Close and easy walk to the theaters at Seattle Center. Staff was super friendly and helpful we will definitely go back.
This was our 10 year, first date anniversary where it all began.
Dinner before the Rep. This is a "usual" for us before Seattle Center events - theater, opera, ballet. There was a popular opera - Cosi Fan Tutti - and Two Trains Running at the Rep, so they had a pre event full house. We ate at the chef's counter and watched the show of five seven entries being grilled, baked, finished constantly. Nothing was missed in the fast production and the dance of it was fascinating. I had the jambalaya and she had the cassoulet, both outstanding. Great place for a filling meal on a cold winter evening.
The place is small so it is best to have a reservation. Loved the ambiance! Service was great! Food was good-chicken cooked to perfection; lasagna was ok.
Difficult to write a review... the food may well be great. However, we didn't receive anything but salad, bread and wine before we had to leave. We arrived maybe 10 minutes late (absolutely NO later than that) for a 5:30 reservation. Our order was taken relatively quickly. We said--up front--that we had to leave at 7:00 for the opera. Bread, wine, and salad came out but nothing...nothing...else...although we mentioned our time restriction several times. At 7:00 we asked for the check, paid, and left. First world problem, I know, but it was a three hour opera. This is a caution for anyone with a time constraint.
Shared a great meal with a friend. Affordable options for wine by the glass and several items on the menu we were interested in - it was difficult to choose! The service was outstanding. I’d highly recommend a visit to Crow but make sure to make reservations!
Great meal, seated at the Chef’s bar. The winter root vegetable risotto and brussel sprouts side were fantastic paired with the Malbec. Great and friendly server.
I love the food at Crow. Always excellent. Sadly, the waitress who served my table was cold and unfriendly. I probably won't be back (even though Crow is my favorite) - because I prefer service with a smile instead of a scowl.
I liked the food and the service was excellent. Just wish they had a larger menu with more variety.
Great food and service. Great for a romantic dinner or friends cocktails at the bar
Thanks for a great experience.
Excellent! Great service, amazing food!
Hardest part is deciding what to eat
Lovely! We loved the ambiance and vibe inside of the Crow
House specialty, lasagne, just ok. Not piping hot. Scant meat. Cassoulet also just ok. Ingredient flavors not distinct. Atmosphere is great. Service tops
