Crow Ratings and Reviews
Our experience from beginning to end with fantastic. We sat at the chef's table and ordered pork tenderloin dish in the gnocchi dish both were absolutely wonderful. I wanted to order everything on the menu! And the bottle of wine we had was delicious. The service was awesome and overall we just had a great time! I can't wait to go back!
The food was amazing! Had the halibut special with curried lentils... on here in my group had the gnocchi with seasonal spring produce. Both were exceptional! We also had the zeppole and German chocolate torte for dessert, which were amazing! My only complaint would be that it does get rather noisy, but it's worth it for the food!
A long-time neighborhood fan, I always look forward to dining at Crow. The interior has a sense of simple elegance, but far from snooty. I enjoy the small menu, the seasonal rotation, and the reliability that the food will deliver on flavor. The cocktails are creative and tasty.
My only hope after this visit is that the corners get a little spring cleaning. I was reluctant to put my purse next to our table.
The restaurant is a lovely space, and the service and food matched. We had great cocktails, a fabulous dinner - oysters, a grilled calamari dish that was extraordinary, beautiful and rich salads, and halibut with lentils and rainbow carrots. The entire meal was a delight! and it is located a few blocks off Mercer in a quiet area with easy (free) street parking.
We love Crow, it is an all around great dining experience, from the amazing food to the wonderful staff this charming restaurant boasts a lively atmosphere, good drinks and a very appealing menu. Our party of four shared the sautéed calamari and oysters, both amazing. I had the spring mix salad and is was very good, the dressing light, but very complimentary to the cheese and nuts in the salad which had very fresh greens (a big pet peeve of mine when the greens aren't fresh). For our main entree we had the lasagna and chicken dish, both very good. An important tip is to order the smashed potato on the side, it is so very good, especially when combined with the sauce from the chicken. For dessert, we shared the ice cream and sorbet choices. Boy, was that a treat, we all had our favorites. I highly recommend Crow, they are just right for any situation, whether you are meeting a friend for a quick bite after work or for a special occasion. Enjoy!
Good for catching show at the Rep but was VERY slow. I was warned about this from another person but didn't think much of it until I realized I only had 10 minutes to walk up the street and my food hadn't arrived yet. Most people I speak with say good food but very slow.
We were a party of 5 for dinner on a Sunday night. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Calamari appetizer and the several seasonal salads we sampled were outstanding. The menu is not long, but thoughtful, with something for everyone, portions generous. The lasagna is quite good - apparently it's been a perennial on the menu and easy to understand why. We will definitely return - has an unfussy neighborhood vibe but still dressed up enough for a special occasion. We were seated in an area of the restaurant that was flexible for larger groups. We had the area to ourselves, but we noticed that there were heavy curtains that could be drawn to provide more privacy if needed. Good to know for larger group events.
Came here for a last-minute birthday celebration with friends. While I'm already a Crow fan, this is the first time I went with a large group, and it was also a great experience. They have a separate area for larger parties. Service was perfect and very considerate of 'slow group decisions', recommendations were good, and I think everyone liked their entree. The calamari was amazing, and the meat and cheese platters were abundant for the price.
The service person was very helpful and attentive, but I rated it "fair" because it took over and hour to get our meals. It was quite busy, and in the end it all worked out ok, but it would have been nice to offer some form of munchies for the table if it was going to take that long.
It was also *very* noisy. My party was not hard of hearing when we sat down, but perhaps now we are :). It was very difficult to have a conversation between the four of us.
I also rated it "fair" for the ambiance, as the table we were seated at (back corner near the window), had a strong sun glare off the windows from the apartment buildings across the street. We noticed that all the other windows had shades, but the last window in front of our table did not. The two people sitting facing the window were pretty uncomfortable for most of the dinner. They ended up moving to the end of the table, but were then in the way of the wait staff, and crowded us all together.
The food was quite good, with my only issue being the big golf ball hunks of goat cheese in the bibb lettuce salad. A drier cheese would have worked better.
The service was great. The food was tasty, but not quite up to my expectations at this price range. We had the starter duck and caramelized onion pizza, lasagna, and chicken. Everything was slightly on the salty side for me (my husband didn't mind), but still yummy.
First of all you have an excellent HOST (From Baltimore). He made us feel welcome and was very friendly towards our hungry energetic group. (It's hard to find restaurants as nice as Crow that make you feel its ok to have children and still appreciate excellent authentic cuisine.) Crow was originally our pick for our family of 6 because we thought it was part of Seattle Restaurant Week (turns out we were wrong). We stayed anyway because the ambience and friendly Staff was exactly what we wanted. Plus the Wine List was exceptional and quite affordable. We had 3 children who were a bit impatient but they accommodated us by bringing bread and checking in on us quite often. The food was superb in every possible bite. I am a fan and lover of flavor and creativity in local kitchens. The Crepes were the favorite at the table. I might say there was a tie between the crepes and the calamari. I have eaten all around the city/world for the last 15 years. I was highly impressed with everything they created. Compliments to the chef!
Crow is our go-to place to eat before attending any performance at Seattle Center. This was our fourth visit and every one has been outstanding. I had a great plate of calmari, unbreaded, grilled and with a wonderful tomato-based sauce.
My entree was a lamb shank with posole and it was awesome.
Great cocktails and the wine choices (by the glass) excellent.
Had a wonderful meal prior to theater. Restaurant was very attentive and made sure everything moved at a comfortable pace so we could leave in time for our curtain. All 4 in our party were very happy with the surroundings and our meals. Food was outstanding! Would definitely go back again!
Crow is located near the Space Needle closer to a neighborhood in lower Queen Ann. It's small, quaint and has excellent service! Our waitress was wonderful and the food was outstanding! We all had the seafood special and it was amazing. It was my second visit here and I highly recommend it for a more quiet place. There are not a lot of restaurants in this area, but this is the top choice.
