Always a fun spot for a cozy dinner. Limited number of entrees, but you can also make a nice meal out of the starters/appetizers. Had a wonderful Old Fashion, mussels (with a generous serving of garlic bread), dessert and port. Perfect place for pre-theater at Seattle Center.
We had four adults at 5pm. We were headed after to a 7:30 show at the Seattle Center. We parked at the Center Parking Garage and walked about five blocks to Crow. We were seated joyfully on time. Our service was spot on. We had cocktails, appetizers then Entrees. Overall a great dining experience. I had a local Vodka Martini, Mussles, Oysters, Crusty bread (olive oil & balsamic) and for dinner I had their famous Lasagna and a bottle of Sangiovese Toscana. I opted out of desert. The open kitchen is fun to watch.
My husband and I hadn’t had an upper scale (yet affordable) meal since Christmas Eve. At the end of dinner, when my husband said, “I’d definitely come back here,” I felt a secret internal triumph because, for reasons too lengthy to go into here, we don’t venture outside our local area much. It took us 1.5 hours to get here from the western side of the Puget Sound and it was well worth a drive and/or a ferry ride! Keep in mind, we had an 8 pm dinner reservation on a Friday night, so don’t expect quiet conversation (not a bad thing, just something to be aware of as I initially had an “oh no” moment when I walked through the door to find it quite the hustle & bustle of sound). It all turned out a-ok because the entire meal and the service was stellar. We will be returning and it goes into our Top 5 places to eat in the states west of the Wasatch mountain range.
Second visit. Believe me if 'Crow' wasn't an hour drive for us, we would be regulars. A great lower Queen Ann neighborhood gem. Great wine list. True bartender behind the bar. Make your seating at the Chef's Counter if watching the magic happen is your thing. We both had the lasagna last time. This time I went with the braised beef rib and the wife had the prosciutto wrapped chicken. Both items were absolutely sumptuous!!! Do yourself a treat and make your reservation NOW!
We stopped in the Crow with no expectations - it was just across from our hotel. The food and service were impeccable and my husband is still raving about his ice cold Manhattan and fresh oyster appetizer. I had a great vegetarian dish of zucchini ‘noodles’ with ricotta stuffed peppers and chanterelles. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
As longtime customers we have probably dined there a few dozen times over the years. The most recent experience, on a Saturday night, left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. By the time we finally ate our meal, we were ready to leave and not return. Our server clearly did not want to be there, and made no effort whatsoever to do anything for us. We had to flag another staff member down to ask ask for everything that we needed (ice, pepper, wine, the check), but even then nothing was apparently relayed to her, or she ignored it. We noticed the adjacent tables in her section were also grumbling. If there was front of the house management working that night, you would not know it. In addition, the kitchen seemed to be having problems because the food was very slow to arrive. A nearby table who arrived 20 min after us ordered the same salad and entrées that we did. They received their meals and ate them completely while we were still waiting for ours. I flagged our server down and inquired about our entree status and commented that other tables with the same order had already finished. All I got was side-eye. Not the Crow we had grown to love. :(
Visiting Seattle and happen to stay in a hotel nearby. What a find! One of the best meals I’ve had in over two years. Cozy ambience but the food was spectacular. I had zucchini noodles in a saffron broth with roasted vegetables and mushrooms. Extraordinary! My husband had lasagna. Huge and so tasty. To finish off dinner we had huckleberry warm donuts with ginger ice cream. Are you kidding? Fantastic . Will go back next time in Seattle
I went to Crow with a girlfriend for dinner and it did not disappoint. We like to share so we can experience several items. We had the beet salad with ricotta and butternut squash, it might be one of my favorite salads. We also had the lasagna, my friend isn't a huge lasagna fan, but she truly enjoyed every bite. It was also a large portion, so I would suggest sharing. All in all, great!
You can never go wrong with either the chicken or lasagne here, but check the specials first. It’s our “go to” restaurant before or after the opera, or anything at Seattle Center. I appreciate that they take reservations. We usually sit at the chef’s counter because it can be noisy when busy and it’s easier to have a conversation sitting at the counter. Their cocktails are also great!
Our party of seven received great service, even several visits from the owner/manager, who made sure we had plenty of time to make it to the show we had tickets for that night. The food was universally delicious, from appetizers and specialty cocktails, to salads, sides, and entrees. Wow to the lasagna, prosciutto wrapped chicken, smashed potatoes cake, shrimp appetizer, salmon entree, ribeye steak entree, and heirloom tomatoe panzanella. Each person said they'd eat here again, and our experience was worth the trip from north of Seattle. Completely satisfied our group of 7. Well done!
