We had an amazing time at Crossroads. It was our first time and we were visiting from London. The food was really interesting and very tasty. The staff were charismatic and knowledgable. We can’t wait to come back.
Great as always!
Outstanding vegan restaurant, some of the best food I ate in LA (vegan and non-vegan). Also had an ace playlist on.
Great way to spend my birthday. Enjoyed it. Good food, nice server. I was a little put off by the hostess at the door. She seemed to want me to eat at the bar rather than wait for my reserved table. I was early and alone. (I accidentally booked for 2 instead of one). Regardless, it was a good experience and I will return.
Excellent brunch in a beautiful setting, try the mushroom crepes! The bearnaise sauce was silky smooth.
Amazing food, excellent service. The crab cakes are a must!! I am not vegan, but will definitely be coming back!!
I wouldn't recommend anything about this restaurant. The hostesses where incredibly rude. we waited for our table for some time when multiple tables where open and ready to have guests be seated. Two parties came in after us and were seated immediately. When we inquired with the hostesses they informed us that they honor reservations made directly with them first, not third parties. We spoke to the GM who was just as rude and antagonistic. He actually asked me if i was upset because i wasn't getting my way. I responded I was upset because they don't have any form of customer service. We left. We would never spend a dime in this place regardless of how good it may be. These arrogant people ruined my birthday.
Atmosphere was laid back upscale, food was fabulous and service was on top.
This place is entirely overrated for dinner. Paying premium dining prices to get sardined into a small yet cacaphonous dining room to eat relatively average-tasting vegan fare was a bit of a let-down. The sausage pizza was great but not worth the price, and everything else we ordered was pretty uninspired or bland in flavor. Cocktails were bomb though!
Overall the food was good. The service was not good . The Sausage and Mushroom pizza was fantastic. The crab cakes were terrible and very dry. The rigatoni was also very good. The hostess was not very friendly. Ambiance was so, so.
As a meat-eater who’s never had Vegan food in his life, it was a big adventure giving this a try. My verdict— the food was as good as it can be when it’s all vegan. Personally, I thought their best dishes were those that didn’t try to be what they were not— the roasted eggplant over hummus was delicious, but the almond ricotta and “impossible meat” topped “pizza” not so much. The artichoke “oysters” were very tasty, but did not taste anything like oysters. Perhaps the only dish that was downright bad was the lasagna (made with almond ricotta) which was flavorless and limp. Being raised on Grandma’s Italian food, I know a good marinara sauce can be done completely vegan, so there’s no excuse for at least the sauce to not have any flavor.
All in all... C+/B- for the restaurant. I don’t think I would immediately think it was vegan food in a blind taste test, but I would definitely think something was off. If you’re a vegan who has not had meat in many years, I guess this could be a fine option, but as a meat eater looking for a vegan option, I’d definitely choose pasta in a marinara sauce properly flavored instead of lasagna trying to be something it simply cannot be.
Also, charging as much money for fake meat as you would for real meat seems a little over the top.
As good as the food is...and the service is above average...the fact that they go out of their way to keep tables in the front room open and sit guests in the much darker and depressing back rooms says a lot about their culture. Only recommending them because of the food. Shame on them for getting caught up in the first class and coach syndrome. Not cool. That's happened to us twice in a row and each time the manager apologizes and says it won't happen again. Really?!
Finally, place where everything on the menu is for grabs!
Flavorful and creative vegetarian dishes without the annoying “ “ around every item. Definitely going back!
We requested a booth because my friend is partially blind and needs light to be able to see. They offered us the first table by the front door, very dark. At this point it was dejavú for both of us, in the past I had the same problem (this was the 4th time for me and 3rd for my friend), empty restaurant and unwilling to let us have a booth.
My friend came in with a blind cane, they don’t care, they are arrogant and lacking experience.
We were so upset that we left and had lunch at another vegan restaurant. Last time I swore I wasn’t going to give my business, but my friend lives in the UK, and wanted to have lunch there.
Last time I was there I sat through lunch upset (all booths were empty except for two of them, total of 5 tables occupied including the 2 booth) and asked for the manager before leaving, she apologized and told me she would speak to people in the front desk so that this won’t happen again.
It is totally unacceptable, I won’t come back and give them my business.
Food was very underwhelming for the prices. Ambiance was nice. Server was good. We had to wait 15 ins for our table even with a reservation.
We came and celebrated a birthday the food was incredible!!!!
We loved it but the portions are tooooo small
The food was amazing! We all had the impossible burger with fries along with the kale Caesar salad and we couldn’t ask for a better lunch! Our waiter David was the absolute best! Very attentive, knowledgeable, and enjoyable to chat with! Totally recommend!
I'd recommend Crossroads. Dishes ranged from good to excellent. Promptly seated, good service, nice experience. Will be back.
We had reservations and when I said I didn’t want to sit at a tiny table in the bar, when the place was practically empty, I was told I could have a nicer table if we could eat in twenty minutes because someone had a reservation. I guess their reservation was more important than mine. The manager was surly and arrogant. Very unpleasant experience.
We had such a fun Sunday lunch! The bolognese was UNREAL. So delicious!
I would not recommend the eggs benedict as it wasn't anything special. Also, the rose and rhubarb sorbet was too sour - the rose didn't come through very well.
Overall, the lunch was fun and a very good value. Two people ordered three entrees and one dessert and only paid $30 each.
Great food and service. Brunch. Liked Jann's bagel and the impossible breakfast sandwich. Asparagus soup was outstanding. The quiche was probably the smallest serving I've ever seen. It was good but could have been a little larger for the price.
Food and service was amazing!!
The restaurant is in a great location. It was super loud. Which I guess is to be expected on a Saturday night in LA. The food was ... meh. A bit overly salted. Not many choices and they are strict with their no substitutions policy. Our server was very sweet and attentive. Overall, it was ok/average.
We drove 90 minutes to get there and frankly, the value was just not there for the drive. Very overpriced and seemed to go after the trendy folks in Hollywood. Plates were small and expensive plain and simple. The food was very good, but not outstanding. They kept trying to up sell and were not the friendliest regarding service. Drinks were even miniature, so won't be returning.
I went with my fiance to celebrate our engagement and we couldn't have asked for a better time! Our server was attentive and friendly, the food was amazing, and the restaurant was beautiful.
Yummy! The staff was very attentive and the menu had a great selection of fresh, interesting vegan cuisine.
Came here for a four year anniversary and accommodated very well. Would be perfect for coming here for a more casual dinner as well. Definitely will be visiting here more often, food was excellent.
This was our 4th visit to Crossroads.. every single time the food has been amazing.. this time we had kale Caesar salad, impossible meat cigars , meatball pizza ,ravioli, lasagna and pasta with bolognese sauce .. the food is seasoned to perfection ..my wife had my birthday dinner here in March with 25 people . My family and I have been vegan for 8 months and we travel all over the. Country eating at vegan restaurants .. this is our favorite NUMBER 1.
There was a blackout that night and we didn’t get served one of our requested dishes not dessert! But overall the experience was still great. Will be back to try again!
Was actually pleasantly surprised at the massive flavors and texture for being a vegan restaurant , and myself being a meat lover. Food was nothing less than spectacular.
What a gem!! A cousin recommended we try this restaurant as the prefect date night spot for vegans, and she was right! The restaurant has sexy lighting that makes dinner feel intimate even though seats with other diners are VERY close together. We started off not so great when my purse knocked over the sparkling water in the table next to us! Yes, that's my ONLY complaint- there really isn't much room to maneuver in and out of your seat. Not all vegans are skinny.. but moving on. Everything is served tapas style with entree pricing. However, the food is exquisitely crafted with incredible style, and most importantly, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! Do yourself a favor and get the spicy meatball pizza!!! It's smaller than a personal pizza, but just enough. We absolutely loved all the different flavors. The crab cakes were also tasty and so was the dipping sauce served with the cakes. By far the award for tastiest vegan entree goes to the scallopini parmesan. My mouth is watering thinking about it!! Tastes like chicken! For drinks, we enjoyed a couple of Moscow Mules. This was my first time ordering one from a full service bar that did not have the classic copper mugs that usually accompany this drink. But, didn't matter because it was PERFECT. The beautiful ambiance combined with great service and delicious food have made is instant fans!!
Customer service was wonderful & the food was excellent! We were celebrating my birthday and loved the ambiance of the restaurant. I look forward to visiting again!
Always a pleasure to dine at Crossroads! The food is inventive and tasty, the atmosphere is comfortable and the energy is lovely!
Monday afternoon was quiet when we got there but got more busy later. Food was so good and the service was superb.
Celeb sighting night lol sister was visiting from overseas - sat at a table next gylenhalls - thinking ok cool here are some awesome celebs and the. jayz and Beyoncé Walk in and they even chatted my sis up we’re very sweet - didn’t even realize food is vegan it’s so good amazing place
Loved it!! Everything was delicious and my husband who is not a vegetarian loved it too!
Highly recommend the eggs Benedict!
Amazing food and service. Very upscale yet affordable, and wonderful plant based menu!
