The food was very good. A nice selection of sandwiches, scones and sweets.
Service was slow. We sat there for 30 minutes with just water.
When tea arrives with food, mine was lukewarm.
Would’ve been nice to have tea from the beginning to enjoy the experience more.
Great ambiance. Service was excellent. Food Choices were mediocre and most of the buffet choices were lukewarm, especially the entrees.
This is a great place for cocktails and celebrating
Outdoor seating was new for us there. Very nice ambiance and service. Food always good. Favorite place when we’re in Chapel Hill.
We bring many of our out of town visitors here too! Great way to see downtown, campus, and get a little local "flavor" too. Always great food and great fun.
Menu said bacon in shrimp and grits. No sure I tasted bacon.
Overall everything was as expected and went really well. Description for Sunday brunch said there would be an omelette station, we never saw one. The rest of the food was beautiful and delicious
Great food and service. People were watching a UNC football game so it was loud in front so they seated us in the back where it was quiet which was perfect for us
The food is spectacular and the service is superb. Love this place !!!!
it was a really lovely afternoon, delicious with perfect service! thank you!
Great service and food was great!
We went for Sunday brunch, and the food was delicious! The buffet was kept full and hot the entire time we were there (about an hour). Our server was very attentive and kept our drinks filled. I don’t often give rave reviews for restaurants, but we will be back to Crossroads.
No welcome greeting or smile at the hostess stand, all of us got two menus, one for dinner and another for drinks, one of us got two drink menus. Wrong drink order how one person, forgot about another person. No smiles during the service. When main dish was brought to table, appetizer/bread plate was in front of me. Rather than using her hand to take the plate away or move to the side, she punches the dish with the main dish plate to make space for it😱. Never seen anyone do that at the restaurant. I ordered salmon because I wanted to try caramelized cauliflower comes with it. Salmon was moist and nice, but the cauliflower that I was looking forward to taste was more like burnt beyond caramelized, charred and bitter😮. Fried shrimp was good and beef dish was also nice.
There was no “thank you” or “how is everything?” By our waitress. Though their manager stopped earlier before the meal to check on us.
Staff were young and under trained for this type of restaurant. Well-trained staff will elevate the reputation of this restaurant.
Excellent meal at Crossroads at the Carolina Inn. Really enjoyed the starters of pimento cheese/flatbread crackers, homemade chips and dip, and family favorite fried shrimp and lemons. Dinner entrees were also delicious- with a few of us dining from items on the bar menu (burgers, pulled pork sandwich) and a few from the dinner menu (salmon, shrimp). Altogether, another wonderful family get-together at a charming bar and restaurant.
Food was amazing. Great service (thanks James!) with fantastic recommendations. Definitely get the fois gras. Best I've ever had.
Our three courses were excellent, the service was prompt, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a restaurant in Chapel Hill on the fancier side.
I've taken my daughters to afternoon tea on their birthdays for 8 years now. There's no end in sight. We love it.
The brunch was pretty sparse for the price and at our seating anyway (11:30) was largely picked over. There was no sliced bread or meat and a few triangles of cooling waffle. No berries. No bagels.
We sat outside. It was very pleasant. Food was delicious.
It was a great experience. We are looking forward to visit again soon!
Thanks for my gluten free options!
We have dined at this restaurant several times and it is always an especially wonderful experience
No birthday service was given Disappointment!
Had a wonderful time! Was a great way to spend a birthday! The tea was exceptional and the scones, finger sandwiches, and little desserts were very tasty!
Relaxed dinner with special friends!
The quality of food and service exceeded our expectations! We were expecting an easy, nice dinner at our hotel (Carolina Inn), but this restaurant was a step above.
The service was amazing from the valet to the restaurant staff.
The was really good and I was impressed.
The place was lovely and tea was delicious. Service was great. In a grand, upscale location as the Carolina Inn I did expect the servers to not be dressed casually in jeans or at least have more elegant tops. It took away from the experience although I would definitely return.
Great service. Interesting menu good food. Good wine list.
No host appeared for a long time. We finally had to seat ourselves after we found the rest of our group.
Two of the 4 main courses were brought to the table very shortly after the starters were served and had to be sent back. Second round of drinks arrived after the mains were finished. Our waitress was friendly and did her best. She was not at fault — it’s a management issue. Also the advance credit card requirement for a restaurant that shouldn’t be considered a “hot ticket” was annoying.
Weird new requirement by OT to require a CC to make a booking. Is this new policy?
Our server was very helpful with suggestions and attentive. The food is always fabulous. Guys at the bar make s great Manhattan and Dirty Martini!
Good food, nice environment, friendly staff! Will be back.
Great food. Outstanding service
Lovely place to have lunch or dinner. Very nice for business or personal gatherings.
We had a 4-top for three people to discuss business. Service was mediocre to good and food was good. However, they were not busy at lunch and I expected more attentive service given the venue & price point. I suspect there is a mild hangover post-COVID. Overall, the restaurant is lovely and it’s located in a gorgeous hotel setting. A nice experience for tourists in Chapel Hill and for business casual meals.
We met friends from CA for lunch after moving away from them 20 years ago. We had a marvelous visit with very few interruptions.
Beautiful presentation of the food! Beautiful setting.
They don’t have full menu running at lunch. The menu here has always been so interesting. Looking forward to full menu and interesting things to try. They previously had a $20 sampler. Salad , bread, main course and desert. My wife loves shrimp and grits. I live fried green tomatoes not being served.
Great atmosphere beautiful building great staff
