Crossroads American Kitchen and Bar Ratings and Reviews
Typical Hotel restaurant. Had breakfast. Food quality was very good, but it was very, very expensive. Too overpriced, but then again, it is a hotel restaurant. There are plenty of good choices in the Times Square area which are far more reasonably priced. If you don't mind the prices, then ok to eat there.
The Crossroads Restaurant at the Marriott Marquis Hotel is an excellent restaurant. The breakfast buffet has just about everything you could hope for in an American breakfast. The servers are quite nice. The restaurant is neat, clean and tidy. The environment is quite lively.

We were at Crossroads on Thanksgiving night at 5:45pm. We had reservations and our table was ready when our party of 4 arrived. Our server came to our table and said "you can go to the buffet" and I had to ask him if we could order drinks and see a wine list. It took him a while to bring the wine list back and then it took him a while to come take our drink orders. We ordered 2 glasses of cabernet. When we returned to our table with our food, there were 2 glasses of white wine on the table. Our server had 3 other tables he was waiting on and every attempt to get his attention when he was not in the small cubby area, failed. After a while I walked over to him to tell him we received the wrong wine. No apology, no offer of a discount of any type.
The food was just ok, definitely not worth $68 a plate. I spent $350 on a meal that should have cost $150.
The restaurant was very nice, our waitress was very accommodating, and the food was good. We did have a problem locating it though—nowhere in the description did it mention it was in the Marriott, where we were staying, and I didn't even think to check the address and relied on my phone's GPS that kept us walking in circles until I did finally stop and put in the address. Frustrating! And I tried to call because we were over 15 minutes past our reservation time, but the phone number was the business office that was closed. Thankfully we got in and were able to have our dinner before our Broadway show.
Very good food and we appreciated the quick service so we could get to our show. However, we wasted about 20 minutes looking for the restaurant, as no where on OpenTable is it apparent that the restaurant is actually located in the Marriott Marquis Hotel. And when we called the listed phone number, the voice mail told us to call another phone number. I fault the restaurant, not OpenTable. Otherwise recommended.
We stayed at the hotel, so this restaurant was convenient. I have to say if I were in the area, I would come here for the food, quality and service. We had a quick lunch before a 3pm show, and breakfast buffet the next morning. Burgers were great, and the buffet the next morning was really good. They had greek yogurt and Soy, lactic free milk, as well as soy. They also had some vegan choices. This is NYC, so the prices are well NYC prices. Lunch as reasonable, and the buffet was 36.00US each person. I would recommend for the meals we had.
This restaurant is on the 8th floor in the Marriott Marquis. It was extremely busy, it is a very impersonal, diner-like setting, no ambience what-so-ever, service was acceptable, but price outrageous. For an omelet and coffee for 3 people, nothing else, we paid $120. Would not recommend at all.
Exceptional Gluten Free hamburger at dinner! Really amazing! Also ate there for breakfast and had a great fried egg sandwich on gluten free toast. Food quality was fantastic, but prices were very high, especially for breakfast.
Tip: We were so happy we booked a reservation at the Crossroads on Open Table. We got to bypass a long line & get seated for breakfast.
The Crossroads is a busy trendy place on the 8th floor of the Marriott Marquis where we were staying. The food was delicious. I had the broken egg sandwich. So GOOD. Our server Aktor was personable & attentive. Although we had breakfast, it's clear the Crossroads is ideal as a pre or post theater dining spot for anyone going to the Marquis Theater. We'll definitely go back.
On our visit to NYC, we had lunch at Crossroads located in the Marriott Marquis Hotel. Upon arrival we were seated in another part of the restaurant known as the Broadway, where we had an awesome view of Times Square. Our waitress was most helpful. My food order was a triple combo of soup, watermelon salad, and turkey sandwich. A larger salad was ordered by my friend. Very nice place to enjoy lunch before seeing the Broadway show in the Marquis Theatre.
Perfect for theater -- right in the heart of the theater district -- can relax before or after the theater -- they do not rush you out. Relaxed, comfortable, friendly staff. Love watching the activity in this bustling theater lobby / atrium. Food was quite good.
