Our group had travelled into NYC for the day to see a show. We made a reservation in advance and were greeted promptly and seated immediately. Bob, our waiter, was friendly and courteous. The buffet, while somewhat limited in selections, more than made up for in in quality. It had one type of soup, five salads (which included both tossed and Caesar), 3 meats ( beef, chicken, salmon), mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and one vegetable, broccolini with tomatoes. There was a dessert table as well, with smaller servings of delicious treats. We all felt the price was very reasonable and the quality outstanding. We were not rushed in any way, and took our time enjoying each other's company. This will be our future go-to restaurant for our day trips. That being said, it would be great if they offered a couple more tastier vegetables . . .
We often go before a matinee, as the restaurant is so conveniently located. All four of us loved our meals, and our server was attentive to our time frame without rushing us at all.
Very large hotel dining room. Good service but average food. At least it i# quiet and not as crazy as Times Square just outside.
Quiet pleasant atmosphere. Excellent service. Good food.
Great food with terrific service, but unfortunately the restaurant is in a large chain hotel. I probably wouldn’t have gone there if I’d realized that in advance.
This is the second time I've eaten at "Crossroads". The buffet lunch was exceptional. The food is fresh and there is a variety of selections to please everyone. The boneless short ribs were like butter. No knife needed! The salmon was moist and cooked to perfection. Desserts included chocolate chip cookies, carrot cake, mousse parfaits, cheesecake and more. The service was wonderful and we didn't feel rushed. If you present your theater ticket there is a 20% discount.
The staff took good care of us. Everything happened in a timely manor.
Great service, live music, prime rib was super! Our server was very friendly and took great care of us.
If your tastes run to casual dishes — potstickers, flatbread pizza, burgers, etc. — a detour into the Marriott Marquis is worth the elevator wait.
We arrived at 2pm and had buffet - picked over and dried out - maybe would have been ok at noon. It was St Patricks and to crazy outside for us so at least we got fed for $22. Breakfast buffet costs more, but has really good food and more variety.
My wife and I went for a pre theater dinner. Had made reservations. Food and dinner were great. Outside restaurant area-lively bar and plenty of seating. Would definitely go back. My only issue was that we got a little lost finding the restaurant-unaware that it was in the Marquis Hotel.
Went for pre-matinee lunch and they sat us before our reservation without a problem. Food was fast and delicious and the waiter brought a free cheesecake with candle and sang happy birthday to my mom. Awesome experience.
We often have lunch here before a matinee. Waitstaff is always considerate of our wait time and service is pleasant and prompt.
We recently met our out-of-town cousins for dinner at Crossroads. It is very conveniently located in the theater district and I thought it would be an easy spot to meet after seeing Hamilton, which is right next door. The ambiance was fun - opens up to a larger area of the Marriott marquis with grand modern lighting fixtures and a fantastic view of time square. Our waiter was very personable and accommodating. The food was okay but good size portions. I really enjoyed the Cesar salad that came before my entree and would probably go with a salad meal if I ever returned. Prime rib was thin (my husband was disappointed), cauliflower dish was creative but lacked flavor and the pan seared lemon soul was on the bland side (although the veggies were good) My daughter really enjoyed the Brick Chicken dish (fingerling potatoes on the side were delicious) and the ice cream sundaes were a good size for $8.50. Chocolate lava cake was delicious too.
I was dining alone before going to a show. I ordered only a main fish dish, the special, and it took almost 60 minutes to arrive. When it did there was almost none of the "sauce" that my server had raved about. I asked for more to be brought out, which was luke warm. The flavor was also bland. The service was terrible too. Thankfully the restaurant did not charge for my food (but did for the wine that I drank while waiting); however, I would have much preferred a tasty dinner, served in an appropriate amount of time.
We were running about a half an hour behind our scheduled pre theater luncheon, but thank goodness for Amy, our server, who saw to it that we were served rapidly and able to make the performance on time. We were served a refreshing Cobb salad and a Turkey BLT. A special thanks, to Amy who saw to it that we received blue cheese olives for my wife's martini.
Nice buffet. 😊
My friends and I enjoyed a pre matinee buffet meal. The selection was good, short ribs, salmon, different types of salads, pasta, mashed potatoes, soup, desserts. The food was delicious and plentiful. We even got a discount since we were going to a show. The wait staff was attentive. We would love to go back.
Best breakfast in nyc
Perfect for pre-matinee & sitting in the bar area along the windows adds to the New York ambiance. The combo soup, salad & sandwich was a good choice and the chicken noodle soup was especially tasty.
We went to the Crossroads American Kitchen and Bar because we were going to
a show at the Marquis Theatre which is right in the Hotel. The service and food were great! We arrived earlier than our reservation and one in our party was not there yet but they seated us and did not rush us at all. Very good experience.
Excellent Prime Rib dinner.
Made dinner reservation about a week in advance for 6:00 pm. Got there and was seated, and then given lunch menus for dinner. Asked for dinner menus and was told kitchen was under going renovations so only lunch menu available. Should have notified me when making the reservation.
Food came and a burger was served with watermelon that was so hard (out of season) that it couldn't be eaten.
Reasonable prices for dinner and breakfast. The food was very good.
Got together with family from different places for the weekend brunch. Food was delicious and fresh and the service by our waitress Amy was outstanding! Will def be back.
Great place for breakfast in NYC
While this restaurant sits in the middle of a busy Marriott area, it is quiet. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and checked to see that everything met our requirements. The presentation of our meals was clean and creative, and each of us enjoyed what we had selected.
Good, quick meal between meetings.
This is slowly becoming one of my favorite spots in the city.
Excellent food and service. Loved the ambiance. We went on a Friday evening and there was a great jazz quartet playing through dinner. Close to all theatres so good find for before or after a show
Last year we ended up at this restaurant to finally eat after a long day of wo. rkshops and shopping at the Vogue Knitting conference. What a pleasant surprise? My friend and I decided that we do the same thing this year, but this time we made a reservation. We were early and decided to get a drink at the bar. That drink was great! It did not disappoint neither did the food. Try the lamb' it's great! We plan to be back again next year for our annual knitting and Crossroads fix.
Relatively unremarkable, neither good nor bad. Ate there as staying at the Marriott, and didn’t want to venture out New Years Eve. Nice enough, but certainly not worth going out of your way. Staff friendly!
Had a great meal on New Years Eve. Buffet was excellent value ...lots of great choices and a dessert bar that seemed endless. Our server was Jodi...and despite the fact that it was New Years Eve..she attended our every need. Thanks for a great meal!
Great place to go to near Times Square. You have to know it on the 8th floor of the Marriot. It's impossible to find it from the address.
El lugar no existe
Great food and friendly service. I would for sure eat here again
It was terrible all around. Terrible service, terrible food, terrible price.
The waitress talked us into the buffet. The food was lukewarm and not very good. It was cold in the restaurant. A lot of the customers
including us were wearing jackets. Several times we ask for things from the waitress but she never brought them.
We arrived with a confirmed reservation and they told us they were closed and to go to the bar next door. It was crowded and loud, but despite having a huge number of tables, the waiter was exceptional.
Booked for Xmas day and there was no mention it would be a Christmas buffet. Upon arrival we were advised it was a buffet at $45 each. Due to it being Xmas day and having a party of 9 we decided to stay however the food was pretty poor!
