Crop Bistro Ratings and Reviews
We took advantage of the Saturday brunch buffet and it definitely lived up to my expectations and beyond. The selection was traditional brunch, but also offered fresh seafood items, specialty sauces and dessert. I can’t believe how affordable it is considering the quality and variety. We even received a complimentary Mimosa or Bloody Mary. We went with another couple and their 16 month old. It was perfect! After we hit up Penzy’s and the Westside Market. Can’t wait to find another reason to go.
The food quality for a buffet was off the charts. Everything was great, especially the salmon and roast beef, desert selection was also excellent. The price was a bit high, but the quality made it a good value overall. We will be back. The lobster omelet was a slight let down, but the combination of made to order omelets with unlimited juice and coffee with a complementary and well made bloody mary was a great touch.
I went here for brunch with my father. I LOVE their brunch! It's a beautiful set-up and the food is delicious! You can order fresh - made to order omelets. You also get one complimentary Bloody Mary or Mimosa. Go check it out. It is now my favorite brunch in town!
Restaurant is in an old bank with very high ceilings. It is visually stunning but causes a fair amount of ambient noise. The food is amazing and desserts are decadent. Menu is small but has a lot of variety. Considering the grandeur of the eating space, the restrooms, while clean, are very underwhelming.
Truly unfortunate turn for this restaurant. Beautiful space. Used to be a favorite. Food wasn't fantastic, especially at the prices charged. Some items were out of stock and waiter only informed us 30 minutes after ordering. Service, both at the bar and at the table, was sluggish. It took over 30 additional minutes to get the check sorted at the end of the night. Overall, there are now much better restaurants in this price range. I really hope Crop Bistro improves before it is too late.
We went to crop bistro for the brunch on Saturday late morning. It was a special occasion with family for the thanksgiving weekend. The brunch was good, but not outstanding or that special. We enjoyed it, but probably would nor return. There are other restaurants with better brunches.
The restaurant space is beautiful and the food was excellent- although the desserts were pretty bland. We liked the cooked to order omelette that were delivered to the table.
Slightly disappointed. Took our adult children out before a show to start our holiday season. They had either the pasta special or fish and were happy with their choices but my wife and I each chose the ribeye which was surprisingly mediocre. Was not a prime cut nor was it memorable. We both thought it was a Ponderosa throwback. Appetizers and desserts were fine but when a higher end restaurant can’t deliver on a simple steak it leaves an impression.
Had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner where one of us ordered the holiday meal and the other two off the menu. Food was very good (adored the deviled eggs and the hazelnut cheesecake), drinks and wines first rate. Two small issues. First, the bill was wrong twice (for some reason, another server had added in a latte to our bill, on an evening when they weren't even serving lattes!). Second, the space is beautiful, but it's a bit dark—could be easily remedied with votives on every table which would also make for a lovely twinkling effect. Neither would prevent me for returning for another special meal.
Went to crop Bistro for Thanksgiving.. I think that when you spend $70 on a meal it should at least be hot... Seated right in the doorway when the temperature outside was below freezing... Not worth the money would not go to this restaurant again nor would I recommend it
Overall a solid 7. Well prepared buffet offerings, reasonably attentive service, a beautiful if somewhat monumental room with ornate 50 foot coffered ceiling. Markdowns for no fresh silverware between plates, unsplit crab legs with no crackers unless you request them, and the occasional lukewarm dish that should be served hot.
4* - A great ambiance, the high ceiling and theme of the restaurant is very enjoyable and fun. Food was good, a little on the pricer side. I opted for the lamb, and was more than happy with my choice. My counterpart ordered the bass special, it was good, but smelled fishy (not an expectation with a restaurant of this caliber). We also had to wait 20 mins after our reservation time to get seated (other tables stayed too long).
This is the third time we’ve had brunch here, but unfortunately it seems the food selection has dwindled, particularly in the pastry/ dessert department. The food was still really good, however after being spoiled with the smorgasbord of sweets the first couple times we were slightly disappointed with the selection this time around.
After watching a local news show, I made reservations for my birthday at Crop Bistro and was not disappointed. We arrived a few minutes early and escorted to the bar to wait but it gave us a very good opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere, incredible artwork (ceiling and walls), and unique cocktails. After being seated, our server was very attentive and clearly understood the menu. We had cherry bombs as an appetizer (cherry tomatoes with chorizo), lobster ravioli and the haddock special, topped with a chocolate cake. It was one of the best, most delicious dinners we have had in a long time. The wine selection was reasonably priced too. It is all that they say it is & we will definitely be back, sharing it with friends and family.
What a wonderful day! This building was enormous. The decor is phenomenal! The dining experience was just great! Where do I start? The spacing for our large sized party was just right. Although the server had several tables to contend with during this time, Chris was just awesome! We felt welcomed from start to finish!
We celebrated my mother's birthday. She had a marvelous time and ate to her heart's content!
The food was spectacular and fresh the entire time!
Everyone in our party enjoyed themselves. I/ we can't wait to go back!
Interesting venue. Drinks and food were excellent. Service was ok. We were celebrating an anniversary and although it was mentioned during the reservation process, there was no mention of the occasion or even a congratulations. While that did not make or break the evening, it would be a nice touch to consider for your patrons. We would love to sit at the chef’s table next time. Looks like fun!
The food was delicious. We were a large group..eight people, our food came out in a timely manner and everyone was pleased with their choices. The lobster agnolotti was delicious the lobster was super fresh. My husband had the shrimp & scallops and said they were the best scallops he has ever had. Our server was very good and checked on theoughout the meal without being overbearing.
We loved it! Not a place we are likely to visit often due to high pricing but for a special occasion it is worth it. We were there for our anniversary and we thought it was a good choice for that. Our server was fantastic and the food was SO on point. actually maybe the best pasta I ever had.
