We went for Sunday brunch the day after a snow storm and our reservation was early, so we were the only ones there for quite awhile. The food was good with a great variety. Only complaint we had was that the warming dishes didn't seem to be keeping things hot. I ended up with some lukewarm eggs as well as a couple other dishes. Since it was a ghost town at that point, one of the staff nicely took us down to see the vault below the main floor, which was amazing. Very cool place to have a private party. Glad we got to see that.
Outstanding service and food. Great location for all Clevelanders to meet and share fond memories.
My meal and service by Jenn was fantastic. I had the absolute best evening enjoying some of the best food in Cleveland. Highly recommended.
Seemed like our server had too many tables/guests to take care of. Service would have been much better if he had more time to dedicate to his tables.
Our family went to Crop for the brunch buffet on Sunday. While the ambiance and service was great, I was disappointed with the food options for the price. It took a long time to replace dishes that were empty, the prime rib was fatty, there were no biscuits to put the sausage gravy on and the salad selection was poor.
Beautiful restaurant great food and service will be back for Brunch.
My Chilean sea bass was quite good & worth the $42 as I see it. However, my wife's scallops with brussel sprouts arrived at the table cold which made for a far from ideal meal . . . it was New Year's Eve which may explain but this does not excuse. Our server had personality & was informative. Unfortunately, he was also scarce (had to track him down for our second drink order after not seeing him for over half an hour), again likely due to NYE. Still, wife's meal was main flaw & score would be higher but for.
Food was outstanding, service a little slow and inattentive. Could be due to New Year's Eve crowd, but we were there early. Sat for 15 minutes before a server came to our table. Overall a very festive atmosphere for the holiday with excellent food, a little better service would have made the evening perfect.
For the amount of each item, the food was inconsistent, took over an hour and fifteen minutes from ordering to receive our entrees, the food was lukewarm at best. The server never updated us to let us know the kitchen was running behind. Two of our appetizers were never brought out, with no reason as to why. Understandably, we had 15 people in our party, however they seemed to be very understaffed, as our server was split among at least 4 other 6-8 tops. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it for a large party. I was rather disappointed.
Food was bland and marked up for NYE. $40 for a lobster pasta.
Noodle was very chewy and hardly any flavor (just creme)
Had an exceptional me your great service and decorated for New Year’s Eve! I would definitely go back again
Excellent food - truly one of the best meals I have had in 2018!
Enjoyed the octopus and cauliflower apps. Dinner choices were delicious, sea bass and NY Strip, however scallops were on the salty side. Service was a little slow on the drinks but food came on timely and hot.
Our server did a good job timing our apps, dinner and dessert.
Building is a classic, nicely updated and has great ambiance.
Reservation was at 1 p.m. was told no seating was available and I would be be called when it was. A walk -in couple got seated before my party and we both had a party of 2. When I asked why ,I was told from one guy that they called this morning and he forgot to put their name down and I was told by the owner that he had a wedding the day before and it was probably a mix up. Neither of these explanations made sense and should not have superceded my party. The waitress was awesome though. Will never go back or recommend to anyone.
Amazing brunch! Made my Sunday perfect!! Had amazing service amazing food
Everything was excellent.
Romantuc, elegant, great ambiance, good food and cocktails
We were very disappointed in this experience. We usually go to Crop Bistro 1-2 times per year and have had very good food and experiences. This time was much different. Our server Gina was very forgetful and unattentive. We had to constantly ask again and again for small things like water. Our appetizer never came out of the kitchen. The bottle of wine we ordered and drank was not added to our bill until I reminded her that she had forgotten to add it. The worst part was that the restaurant began tearing down the entire eating space for an upcoming wedding later that afternoon making it very noisy and distracting to those of us eating lunch. Our reservation was at 1pm and I think it was unacceptable to ruin our lunch experience before even 2pm that day. Overall, this lunch time with out of town family guests was a terrible change from what our expectations were going into this lunch. This was not a good value or experience.
Service was poor - much worse than in the past when coming here. Took an hour to get our meal.
We have eaten dinner here many times but this was the first time trying their brunch. It is on the pricier side but it definitely worth it! Not just for the food, but for the experience dining there. We went on a sunny December morning so the sunlight was pouring in to the dining room through the skylights. Absolutely wonderful time spent with our family of 4, one was home from college, and we just wanted a nice meal after church before the real hustle and bustle of Christmas hit us. Crop's brunch definitely delivered! This place just does not disappoint.
We had a 40th birthday party at Crop with a large group on a Saturday evening. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks which came just before our meals. Our server was doing his best but seemed to be overwhelmed with too many large group tables. I didn’t see any help from expediting staff either. My wife approached the bar and was met with a frustrated, frantic bartender who clearly couldn’t keep up with the bar and table orders. I’m sure this place is fantastic on a weeknight, but waiting over a half hour for your drinks is just unacceptable no matter how busy. On the other hand, the food was excellent and the architecture is truly amazing, so I hope they get their staffing issues worked out so I can have a better experience next time I visit.
I’ve been to Crop several times and normally have had a great experience every time, except this time. Food was great and service was great, until the restaurant filled up. Once they filled up we saw less and less of our waiter. When we ordered desert we also ordered cappuccino, but apparently the cappuccino machine was not working. Our waiter explained the machine was not working when he brought out our desert and mentioned he would bring our cappuccino’s as soon as the machine was working. He left so quickly he didn’t give us a chance to say we would just have coffee. He came back after we finished our desert and told us the machine still was not working. Again he took off fairly quickly and did not hear me when I asked for
Our party was very pleased with this for celebration. Patty our server was fun and efficient. Structure is a beautiful show of craftsman pride from that time. Will absolutely return
Found the food quite underwhelming. Basically felt like I paid all that money for atmosphere and that’s it.
Everything was ok.
Wide range of quality food items on the Buffet. Attentive service. Cool atmosphere.
We had Fran for our server and she was very very nice... The food was bad! The turkey dinner was dry and I had the braised short ribs and they tasted like rubber... I wouldn't say I won't go back but its not high on my list..
This was so disappointing. I brought out of town visitors to Crop to show off the beautiful facility and the local sourced menu. Lunch for 3 adults and 1 child (plus tip) was $84. The food was no more inventive, creative or delicious than your average chain restaurant. . in fact the "salmon burger" was so over cooked as to be dry. I won't be back.
great food choices and quality ...we would go again in a minute. great brunch...nice atmosphere and service too
The food and service was outstanding. The high ceilings and marble cause the noise level to be higher.
Great service, good food
Another great meal at Crop! Food was great, service by Patty terrific. Nice ambiance.
We love Crop - first time in for brunch - loved it and will definitely be back!
Service without a smile. I think we caught the waiter on a bad night - awkward comments and unfriendly demeanor. Food was pretty good but not great. Don't think we will be back.
Not knock your socks off, no complaints. Everything was good.
Excellent service and great food!
Went here for my birthday. Went on a Sunday for the brunch buffet. It was delicious! Lots of different breakfast food so available, fruits, different kinds of breads and biscuits, delicious lunch options, carving station, seafood, and a good assortment of desserts.
The staff was great! So, so attentive. The food was phenomenal! We will definitely return.
Was looking forward to dinner with friends and a nice evening out, I preferred the old location. If you like to talk in a real loud voice and struggle to hear then this is the place for you. The food was good, nothing to really rave about. The service was hit and miss and inattentive. Won’t be returning.
I’m really not a negative reviewer, just wasn’t good enough for me.
The food and specials were exceptional! The waitress was a bit frazzled and forgetful as she was working since 7 am. The table location wasn’t as intimate as larger groups were seated next to our 4 top booth seat. I will always recommend Crop as I feel the quality dishes speak for themselves.
