Our first time at crop. Beautiful inside, high ceilings with classy decor. Food was very good. Lamb meatballs are a must. Icelandic sole was the hit of the night. The braised short ribs were perfect. My shrimp and scallops were okay. Shrimp was a little overdone. Overall, we were very impressed . Highly recommend.
Although we were not impressed with our hostess (no smile or greeting when we entered), once seated we experienced great service and friendliness from our waiter. Disappointingly, we made our reservation through Open Table and stated we were celebrating our anniversaries and my husband also mentioned this to the hostess, however we were never acknowledged about our anniversary and no special dessert for that celebration. For a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect more!
We decided on Crops as a last minute decision. The food was amazing. My husband mentioned that he definitely would suggest having a business meal here.
Only complaint was the bathrooms were freezing! Glad I had my coat on. My husband said the Mens was cold too.
Avoid. This place seems to have gone way downhill since I enjoyed it a few years ago. My "merguez sausage" dish looked and tasted like small meatballs (on the bland side of "Swedish meatballs") -- not what I associate with merguez. My ratatouille side tasted like it was made with generic marinara sauce. My crispy calamari were the least mediocre, but considered on their own, they wouldn't make it worth the trip or the cost. (By the way, the low noise level may simply reflect the fact that the place was nearly empty at 8pm on a Thursday. Apparently the world has moved on.)
Wonderful, we enjoyed the rib eye, shrimp and scallops, and pistachio cheesecake!
Everyone in our party of seven loved their food and the service was excellent!
While the ambience is outstanding as the architecture is amazing - when the piano started playing we could not hear ourselves talk. The cost per person for brunch was too high - although the variety and quality of food was great - it still was too expensive for brunch.
I enjoyed the place but it was not young child friendly. The table we sat at was too tall for a high chair and booster seats are not available.
Overall, we had a good experience. Valet Parking was an issue because they did not block off sections for customers. I had to wait about 5 minutes for even a valet to come and get my car. The service was excellent. Our Server was excellent. The food was good. They could not keep up at the desert table. They were always out.
Food was way over spiced. I had a ribeye that basically had a rosemary crust. I like rosemary but it was the only thing I tasted. The service was wonderful and the server was great.
Food was great - appetizers were really good and main courses - chicken and pork ribeye were outstanding. The entertainment was truly amazing with Ethan playing the piano ! Lovely evening.
Food and service were top notch. We enjoyed the pianist and his selections throughout our meal. Beautiful revamped bank is clean and inviting to its patrons.
Great service! Great lunch menu! Thanks!
Great food and service. Beautiful old building with stunning architecture. Check out the vault.
Crop Bistro is located in a beautiful venue. I think it's an old bank building. By that same token, the acoustics can catch you off guard--lots of echo even if not too many people are there. Aside from the volume, it's a great dinner spot. I'd recommend going there when it's still bright outside to get a better glimpse of the view. The cocktail drinks were fantastic and flavorful and we tried quite a few including The Figgy and the Last Word. The food was very tasty. We had the Smoked Cauliflower Arancini. It was delicious. We also had the Prime Short Rib which was so soft and barely tasted like red-meat. It was amazing. The steak au poivre was equally good--More meaty in flavor. For my taste the food was generally on the salty side but otherwise a great experience for our Cleveland visit. Highly recommend.
Service was fantastic! Loved the food. We are eating Keto and loved all the choices we had. Love the ambiance.
Excellent experience, food was wonderful, service exceptional.
Definitely worth checking out.. Beautiful restaurant and good food/drinks.
Lovely historic place- great food! We enjoyed the staff and the ambience.
From the magnificent dining room to the attentive, yet unobtrusive service to the delicious food, this was a wonderful dining experience and a memorable way in which to celebrate our anniversary. We'll be back for sure!
Consistently outstanding experience. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Popcorn appetizer and special dishes are fantastic. Try the Prosciutto-Wrapped Halibut. Yum. Probably the best wine list between NYC and Chicago.
We were 6 people celebrating a birthday and an anniversary. It worked out well. Our server was attentive at first, then didn’t stop by our table to check on us.
Brought the whole family out to celebrate parents 50th anniversary, the staff really helped make the brunch special. We all had a great time, I definately reccomend Crop.
INCREDIBLE experience. Can't say enough. This is a must-visit if you are in town and is great for a special occasion.
Place is beautiful, service terrific, but way overpriced
We had excellent service good cocktails and our main dishes were very enjoyable. Overall a great experience. The ambience there is always Pleasant it is a beautiful environment.
I’ve never had a better brunch buffet in my life. We’ve all experienced “buffet food,” that looks beautiful but tastes like garbage. This is different. Everything was perfectly hot or cold, nothing was mushy or crusty in a bad way. The fruit tasted the way fruit is meant to taste - not like most salad bars/buffets where fruit tastes like it was picked 6 days too early, 5,000 miles away. The cold bar was a dream with the best shrimp cocktail, crab legs, and a zesty seafood salad. I’m a pescatarian, and there were countless options for me. The desserts and pastries were a dream. Gorgeous venue with plenty of parking options nearby. Our server wasn’t very attentive, but with a buffet, it wasn’t a huge deal. Can’t wait to come back.
Beautiful place but the sound bounces around and is quite annoying...not really a place for conversations if it's busy. Food was good but not great.
My first time at Crop was a very good experience, overall. The food was excellent and service was prompt an courteous. The only improvements needed are 1) the host should be attentive to persons entering the establishment, rather than being focused on her phone, and 2) the server should have an order pad that looks more professional. The little spiral-bound notebook looked messy and out-of-place for such a beautiful setting.
One of the best meals I've ever had! The pork rib eye was outstanding!
What a cool and beautiful location
Service was great.James did an outstanding job. The owner came by to check on food and service. Can't wait to get back.
Food was excellent! Server was a bit abrupt. Beautiful space with HORRIBLE acoustics. My family of four went for a nice dinner out, but we couldn't hear one another talk, so it was just frustrating. The old bank space IS beautiful, but there must be a way to absorb some of the noise...otherwise I have to imagine this will be a short-lived restaurant.
Really enjoyed our meal. The waiter was excellent. Great ambiance.
First time for brunch...I was pleasantly surprised! Great service!
The food was excellent. Had the strip steak. Others enjoyed the lamb meatballs. Service was attentive. Would definitely return and recommend.
Since you are across from west side market one of two items on the menu made exclusively from items from that days market would be very cool. We shop there once a month for week of meals made from their various local providers.
The atmosphere was very pretty. The food was overpriced.
Great experience with the food choices, comfortable tables and excellent spot for brunch. Wonderful pianist on Sundays.
Sunday brunch was very disappointing. Buffet selection was limited and serving temperature was tolerable at best. Service was pleasant but confused and response to concerns about food temperature was met with excuses rather than any kind of accommodation. Not in any rush to go back.
We went to Crop for our 45th Wedding Anniversary. Right after we sat down, the restaurant lost power. Our waiter came over and informed us of this and we opted to stay. We ordered a cheese platter and a salad, along with drinks. The owner came over and chatted with us for a while. We were fortunate that the restaurant has large windows, so we had sufficient light. We were able to order what we wanted, and the food was delicious. Other than no lights, you would not know there was a problem. Our waiter, Juan, was wonderful. Overall, it was a wonderful anniversary and one that we will always remember. Problems happen and it all depends on how they are handled. Crop went above and beyond to make sure everyone who opted to stay had a memorable evening.
