Crisp - Heights
Went to watch the UH game and had a really great time. The food, beer, and wine were all really good.
Service was pretty slow, but the food was very good. I think some dishes take a little longer to cook than you might expect. So just go with enough time and ability to relax not be in a hurty
We went for Sunday brunch and loved the food, good portions, good taste!! The service was pretty slow from the greet to the entrees. The ambiance is nice, but it was kind of annoying to sit at the barrel-based high tops. It doesn't allow you to pull your chair close to the table without spreading your legs to do so. It's a nice little spot for brunch with tasty good and a good value. Be prepared to wait a while for your food, but it's worth it, I promise (especially the chicken and waffles!!!
It was really nice. We sat outside which was great for families (not a big deal, but don’t sit outside unless you are good with kids). The inside seating is quieter. The food was delicious and absolutely worth the price! I have been there before but my husband had not. We both loved the food. The service was a little slow at first but they made up for it.
Always a good feed at Crisp. Our waiter was simply the best.
The worst Service in Houston!
Food is not that Goog!
The manager is horrible!
Please avoid this place!
Try Dolce Vita instead!
We ordered a pizza and some fish, both delish. They allowed us to test some beers before committing to buying them. Overall great experience, highly recommend the bread pudding.
Great Seevice from Fedel
Just another restaurant serving adaquate overpriced meals
Yum yum and yum! Got to give this place a try! The beers were aplenty and the pizza was amazing. Delicious, and I come back for things that are delicious...
Great brunch options. Enjoyed the Brewers breakfast complete with pancakes, sausage, eggs, and potatoes. Breakfast pizza was good as well. Great choice of local beers. Good value.
We went for lunch. Service was great, ambiance was dark for lunchtime. The avocado wrap was inedible. Can’t recommend this one
Excellent food, stellar service and an overall great experience.
The live music was too loud, we asked that the music be turned down it wasn’t , I had to yell across the table to my date.
Im a musician, you taylor your music to the audience. This is a restaurant not a rock and roll bar
$2.50 mimosas can’t be beat! Great value especially in the heights. The ambiance inside is average but the outside patio is super cute! The food was pretty good!
The girl that was servicing our table was very pleasant and helpful. She was on top of our needs and very kid friendly. Our food came pretty fast and hot. The manager also came to the table to say hi
Really nice. Good food. Beer and wine, but no liquor.
Was expecting great food and was very disappointed. How can you screw up a simple burger (over cooked) and a salad (boring and dressing not good). The only good thing was not having to pay for a valet.
My husband and I wanted to try a new restaurant for NYE and chose CRISP. The food was amazing and our server was great with how busy they were. Our server didn't rush us but was as attentive as possible as well. My only issue was that I made a reservation and we got sat right by the kitchen where there was a ton of traffic constantly. I was hoping because I made a reservation we'd get a booth or something a bit nicer. It wasn't the most romantic evening because I felt like I constantly needed to dodge servers. In addition, the hostesses were not welcoming at all and did not acknowledge our presence leaving either. When we walked in they just kind of stared at us and waited until I said we have a reservation. Pretty sure the girl was on her phone when we were walking out as well. However the food and service were amazing.
Great date night spot for drinks and apps. Our main courses (pasta and gnocchi) were a bit out of balance. Love this local spor
The vibe for NYE was everything!
Nice food with attentive service delivered consistently at this Heights eatery. Piped in music from live musicians makes this venue way too noisy for conversation.
Love the menu at Crisp. So diverse. Love the appetizers. Pizza was great. Can’t wait to go back.
The food was excellent, our server was fantastic, and we had a great time!
Brought a client for end of year/holiday appreciation. The service was slow and they were not to full capacity. Two times my client tried to order and they were out of his chosen dishes. They had never been to Crisp so I was very embarrassed.
The place is pretty loud due to the layout and the fact the bar is open to the restaurant. The food was decent but took a while to come out. The service was good but not very friendly- the first person who came to our table to give us water seemed put out and didn’t greet us so we were confused if she was our waiter or not. Overall it was a good place for casual dining and good for kids.
It was my Birthday and the waiter unfortunately forgot to put my order in. Luckily there were extra pizza left over so I ate that.
The food was delicious and the waiter very apologetic for the mistake comped us a carafe of sangrias ($15 value). As a courtesy, I would have appreciated the manager coming to our table too but that didn’t happen nor did we request him since the waiter made it right.
Always a good experience at Crisp!
What a great place! My favorite restaurant in the Heights. I have yet to find a dish that I don't like. Their did is prepared with fresh ingredients and with a toast twist. Tonight, the live music was excellent. Thank you, the Crisp Staff Family.
My friends and I really liked this place. The atmosphere, service and food was very good.
Brunch was great. The outside patio was the perfect spot for brunch.
Nice place. It has a nice backyard. dissapointed that they do not allow dogs. Other than that, food and service was good. Coffee was cold, so nit a good place for coffee.
An automatic loss of star is the mandatory valet parking. I parked on a nearby residential street. The location is nice because it is tucked away in a residential area. The crowd is Anglos or Asians, millenials or peri-geriatrics. It has more of a sports bar feel. Multiple large screen TVs playing various sports games. Waiter Tony's had limited English comprehension. When asked about the gluten free pasta he replied it had flour and olive oil. When questioned about what type of flour he had to ask the chef. The seafood Di Mare dish did not mention an onion ingredient but when served there it was bigger than Dallas. Also the Chicken Panzanella is topped with chicken. It was lukewarm and had to be returned to the kitchen because the chicken is supposed to be served hot. Crisp serves iced tea. I ordered iced tea but was never asked if I wanted sugar so I had to track down Tony to get some sugar. This is Texas, sweet tea is a staple!! Get some culture sensitivity training guys!
Due to the multiple fumbles throughout the evening, Tony did comp us some rice krisy treats but they will never recover.
We absolutely love their marguerita pizza, it’s our favorite in houston. But, for the price, they surely have been cutting back on the good stuff. Our pizza was basically crust this time, no cheese and very little tomatoes.
Guys, $15 for crust? Please go back to cooking that awesome super cheesy flavorful pizza.
Everything about our dinner on Saturday was fabulous!!! We all (8) sat outside which was very nice and large! The pizzas were amazing!!! We had our 3 grandchildren with us and they even liked their food!! Hard to do!
Outstanding pizza! Great wine menu to pair with your meal.
Great food and top notch; fast service. Never disappoints!
Waitress is really good. On time when she needs to be and away as well. Forget her name but she is Eastern European.
Good service... Great food!
Good food and great service too.
