Food was fabulous. Waiter was great. Really enjoyed my drink. The bar attached was too loud.
Caro y con excesivo ruido por el bar contiguo,la cómoda muy buena y el servicio de primera
Great menu with a wonderful sampling of dishes NOLA is known for. Beautiful classic dining room. Comfortable and warm hospitality.
I was disappointed from the start because I learned when we arrived that the “lunch” menu had changed to a brunch menu. Part of the reason I picked Criollo was the advertised lunch menu that was online. Had I known this when I made the reservation, I likely would have chosen a different place for this lunch.
Lovely restaurant wonderful staff and the food was delicious.
I can’t say enough about our dining experience The food was some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything since has paled in comparison. Scheduled dinner for another night during our stay. Yum!
most things on Open table menu where not available--out of season--new menu coming soon-- cesar salad was very small and in a stale parmesan cup--not worthy of a high class New Orleans restuarant on Royal-after all-don't come to N. O. for the climate or the beaches so you expect 5 star at every dinner, so many other options. Manager said he was having a hard time dealing with the chef.
The food and service were great but I wished that it was a little more lively.
It was an overall very enjoyable dining experience. The food and beverages were excellent and prepared to the cost point.
The ambiance is very sophisticated, but the noise level does interfere with a quiet romantic dining. Their is an excellent very unique Carousel Bar adjacent to the restaurant. The speciality drinks Fkeur de Lu’s abs Pimms Cup are a must try. But it’s New Orleans everything is loud and fun.
We were seated by the window and were able to see a 2nd line which our visitors had never experienced.
I will continue to come back each time with out of town guests.
Wonderful food but a bit loud for as nice of a restaurant as it is - probably should close off the open doors leading in to neighboring bar
The hostess who seated us seemed a little irritable, but everyone has moods. The waiters were extremely polite. Food was amazing - best swordfish I’ve ever had - but light on vegetables. Excellent live music drifted over from the adjacent (packed!) Carousel Bar.
If you're un NOLA and want the best beignets available anywhere you have to go to Criollo at the Hotel Monteleone. The beignets with praline sauce is to die for! They put Cafe du Monde to shame.
Our waiter was okay, but Fred (the “bus boy”) was amazing!!! Our drinks were never empty, he was on top if it all! We wanted Fred to get the tip - not our waiter.
The noise was waaaay too loud from the hotel bar that was adjacent. Food was expensive (as expected), but it was pretty good. The breads were delicious!
James was the best server- attentive, skilled, ind, and funny! Thank you for the excellent service! And the food was incredible too ;)
We looked at both Open Table reviews and TripAdvisor before choosing this as our first New Orleans dinner. Reading other reviews, there is a delineation between the rave for breakfast and the ok reviews for other meals. Our dinner was good but it was the plating that was spectacular, not the taste. Portions were nicely sized. Service was quite nice, friendly and prompt. Dress is polo and jeans or nicer, but not fancy. Overall, we found it to be a nice restaurant but quite puzzled at how it maintains its status as 13th best in New Orleans.
Great place for photos especially around carousel bar and good cocktails but that’s about it. Food was very bland went with servers suggestion. It just didn’t seem home made like from frozen. Least flavorful food I had in NOLA.
It is right next to the Carousel Bar which was a little bit noisy but the restaurant is far enough away where the dinner environment is still pretty quiet. The chairs were super comfortable and the dining environment as a whole was extremely nice. The food was superb and service was great. Would highly recommend.
Food was terrific and restaurant is very nice , birthday celebration was good
Jade and Taylor amazing
Their beignets were way better than Cafe Du Monde and the service was great. Highly recommend the "Benedict of the Day".
Perfect fine dining experience at excellent prices. Food was outstanding!!!
Noise level in the restaurant was a lot louder than anticipated. There was a live band a singer belting away on the other end of the space. Thankfully we were able to be seated on the other end.
Beautiful hotel. Ordered a veggie omelette was a huge pile of veggies with an egg white on top. Fruit tasted canned. Coffee wasn’t memorable along with service.
Great service impeded by mediocre food with so many great options everywhere in town
Food was awful. Caesar salad was straight from refrigerator and wilted. Parmesan crust was also cold from refrigerator and .hard and inedible. Crab and fried green tomato redfish was horrible. Where was the crab? Or the fried green tomato? The pasta and fish was extremely sweet. Couldn’t eat this either. Very strange taste experience. Hostess came to table after we sent salad back and claimed the salad was made to order. No way! I’m so disappointed, we had only one night to dine and made a terrible choice in this city of fine dining choices. Never again
Great restaurant with excellent food and innovative cocktails! We loved the atmosphere, and our server Fernando was incredibly attentive and friendly!
The food was fantastic and Fernando was an impeccable waiter. He made wonderful suggestions for our meal that added to our dining experience.
The food was great, but the Coolinaire menu was not available without any statement in website or in visible signs.
Our best dining experience during our New Orleans trip! We were disappointed that they did not offer the Coolinary dinner as advertised because they “ran out of ingredients”, but it was a great meal otherwise.
A feast for the soul. One of the most satisfying dining experiences I’ve ever been fortunate enough to enjoy.
We celebrated my husband’s retirement. We had outstanding service! We will return whenever we’re in town
Just perfect. It was my 20 year anniversary and everything was perfect.
Excellent service and food. We loved everything!
I was HIGHLY impressed with this restaurant! The food, ambiance, the staff. Everything was superb! My husband and I were in New Orleans to celebrate our anniversary. I don't know why we picked this restaurant, but I am so glad we did.
Best meal in New Orleans, perfect service and delicious food.
Three of the four of us were happy with our food. My husband ordered lamb chops, medium. They came out medium rare. After the waiter brought them back from the kitchen to cook them “a little more”, they were so over cooked they were charred black. My husband was so insulted and irritated that he sent them back uneaten. Everyone else was well into their meal and he didn’t want us to have to wait for the kitchen to prepare another dish for him. He left still hungry.
Food was average.
We have being there at the carousel bar for drinks and bar food and everything was outstanding so we decided to go there for dinner and the food wasn’t up to standards. It was very disappointing wish I had went to Mr. B’s instead!
Made reservations for my birthday; food was delicious, service was good. Will go back.
