The alligator and pork sausage was good but the shrimp po’boy was only so so. When I asked for cocktail sauce they brought me about a tablespoon or so and said that was all they had! Surprising in a restaurant offering a lot of seafood dishes. Overpriced for the quality of the food. But the beer was really good.
Great spot serving amazing in house beer. Will definitely go back!
We were first time diners. We brought our 8 year old child after researching kid-friendly restaurants in the area. We were able to walk-in 15 mins before our reservation and be seated right away, which was nice. Our server was amazing. She was very knowledgeable of the food and drink menus. She made wonderful cocktail suggestions for my husband. We started with the Brie appetizer and it was wonderful. My husband ordered a fish entree (I don’t remember which one) and I had the Shrimp and Grits. Both items were well flavored and the portions were just right. We finished with Bread Pudding for dessert and this item was the only thing I did not really care for. It was not heated all the way through and there was really nothing overly special about it. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would dine here again. I agree with the reviews that this restaurant is very kid friendly. We also enjoyed the live music.
The play we were attending before dinner was later then we expected so we arrived 30 minutes late nearly at closing time. The restaurant staff was gracious and seated and served us anyway. The food, beer, and service was great, as always. We have been customers of this restaurant for many years and would recommend it to anyone visiting N.O.
Had reservations and came early for a drink. They have their own brew which was very good. Our table had oysters, baked brie and fried gator for appetizers, all good. Shrimp and grits, ribs and the gator Po-boy were all also very good. Topped it off with deserts.
Good food and beer, but appreciated the great service!
Great location and ambiance. However, the beer and the band were way better than the food and the service, and the beer was only slightly above average.
Good food! Great venue!
If you are looking for real New Orleans experience. Stay away.
Came here for a Saturday night with a group of friends. Got a table in the back courtyard near the fire which was awesome! The service was excellent and fast. Had the beer taster, probably the best deal in all of New Orleans! Food was amazing too, would certainly recommend!
The seafood cheesecake and alligator bites were awesome!
Great food and service. We were looking for a dinner place for 10 people after a show day at the convention center. Would definitely recommend.
This was our first visit and we how to have the opportunity to go back. We both had the shrimp and grits and it was excellent. The live band we great and they offered seating on how loud you liked the music. Definitely worth the stop when in NOLA!
Beer is very good, the food was excellent! Fantastic BLT and a killer chocolate dessert!
Love this place. This is one of my go-to spots in New Orleans and I've never been disappointed. The food consistently tastes great. I got the shrimp & grits this trip & it was perfect. The creme brûlée for dessert finished off the great meal!
The service was great and the wait staff was so much fun and nice. We had a group of 28 people over the Mardi Gras weekend and they were so busy but handled us so well. We used to go to the House of Blues for this yearly luncheon but we are going to stick with Crescent City Brewhouse because the experience was so nice.
Had the beer sampler. Awesome! My husband had a dozen oysters and be loved them. I got the baked shrimp which were delicious and came with perfectly cooked little potatoes and a pretty side salad.
Our waitress was super nice and laid back.
We were very happy to get a reservation for 11 people for dinner. The restaurant is fun and the menu has something for everyone. I had the duck and it was really good! The beer options are also great and our server was very accommodating even when we told her at the last minute that we needed separate checks.
Fun time with good food and a jazz band playing.
Excellent experience. The service was excellent as was the food. Creative, tasty dishes. Recommend the seafood cheesecake and the wings. Good mix of NO standards and new items. Good beer as well.
Great food and they had a jazz band there playing good jazz music.
The food was wonderful. However, our server was terrible. He would barely speak and would shake our plates at us when he brought our food and drink. He was very rude and I was unhappy that we were made to leave an 18% tip for him bc we had 7 people in our group.
All good, but disappointed on amount ofbtcs abd the broken tv upstairs on January 1 when there is so much football to watch.
We ate here Sugar Bowl day, our table was ready, our server was excellent and food arrived quickly was very good and everything hot! It was a fun & festive place to be. I thought the cost for feeding 7 guys plus me was excellent. Will definitely go back!
We came here on New Year's Eve and honestly, I was a little disappointed with the food. Granted it was extremely busy due to the holiday. We ordered the crocodile which was really delicious, but for my main, I ordered a BLT. The bacon was burnt (black and charred) and there was a really random chunk (large slab) of mozzarella placed inside the sandwich which we all mistook for an egg white patty. The 'salad' that accompanied the BLT was literally 2 pieces of lettuce placed on top of another with some cheese and dressing in a cup on the side. I was really hoping for a great food experience because we had heard so many good reviews about the place. Next time I go, it will be for appies and drinks only I think.
Will not be returning to this brewery for beer or food. Granted, we had reservations at 8pm on NYE, but took an hour for us to be seated. The beer is rather sub-par and the waitress and wait time between ordering was terrible.
Don’t let the word “Brewhouse” fool you, they have 6 types of beer on tap. I have more selection at my local pizza place. Made reservations a month in advance and had to wait 30 minutes for my table. Host was too worried about fitting people in that had no reservations in between those of us that did. Food was good but took forever. Not worth the time and wait. Recommend going to almost any other dive bar in the location for better service just as good of food and less wait.
Celebrated New Years Eve there - Jay took great care of us, even with a party of 12. Food was delicious and the in-house-brewed beer selection was awesome. One of the burgers Cafe out overdone and Jay quickly replaced it, no questions asked. An overall great experience!
Great service. Gator bites and Boudin balls were good appetizers. There is something on the menu for everyone.
What a great find! While it may be a Brewhouse, the quality and presentation of the food is more on par with a 3-4 star restaurant. The Wings are an absolute must for the appetizer and my main dish was the shrimp stuffed with crab meat! OMG, i want it again right now. It was so delicious! The restaurant is in a great location, right by the water so definitely take advantage of the patio seating upstairs to people watch and to enjoy the view. Cant wait to go back the next time I am in town!
Faltó sal a crawfish, el brie como entrada muy recomendable. Pims cup bien oreoarada y el bread pudfing muy bueno
Felt like a chain restaurant. It wasn’t very crowded but our server was not as attentive as we would have liked. We ordered a flight of beer that was pretty good. The food was also decent but we wanted to be wowed. This place just missed the mark.
We enjoyed a Revillion dinner here while vacationing over the Christmas holiday. Our waiter Ricky was very attentive. The entire staff seems to work together to be sure you’re well taken care of. The clams and the beer were fantastic.
Great place to eat. We visit yearly on our New Orleans trips. The Dark Forest Beer and the Duck is great.
We chose this place because of the brewery. We were pleased with the choices of beers available. It would have been nice for some of our friends to get a more traditional bottle beer. The food was very good. I had the crab cake and it was excellent. I don't recommend the shrimp beignets. I didn't taste any shrimp.
Food average. Service very poor. Would not recommend.
We come to New Orleans every Christmas and try different places to eat each time. but somehow we always seem to end up here at each visit. see you in December
Had a quick lunch here while working in the area. Gumbo was good and the bowl was a reasonable amount for lunch on its own if you are not too hungry. Looks like it would be a good bar for after dinner. There is a nice space upstairs and a few tables on the balcony.
Do not expect fresh shucked oysters for lunch, it is on the lunch menu, however no one is there to shuck oysters until after 2pm.
We visited the restaurant for my 40th birthday. The hostess seated us beside the serving station in the back of the restaurant. We couldn't hear the band and listened to servers discuss customers. Our server was attentive and helpful. The food was good. Oysters were excellent. Salad with shrimp was small and I was still hungry after the entree. We tried the beer sampler. The seasonal beer was out. The other 5 beers were good.
