Sad to know that Creo is closing. Wish it wasn't so.

Always a pleasure dining at Creo. Delicious menu items that change over time so as not to be too predictable. Makes for a fun and unique dining experience. The service is always exceptional.

Great place to enjoy a romantic dinner or dinner with friends, though pricey .

We went here for a Friday night date. We ordered the Mahi Mahi with Fava bean succotash and Chinese sausage, garlic mashed potatoes (extra charge), and golden beet arugula salad; I asked for shrimp on my salad and was charged extra for 3 (yes, THREE) shrimps. I've been to the Mediterranean and it is quite a stretch to find the "Mediterranean" in their foods. Oh, our appetizer was Kung Pao Calamari - very Mediterranean..... I'm not sure why this place is considered "Mediterranean" cuisine and I'm not sure that the food was worth the value. I have been to other comparable restaurants and the food has been far better for what we paid. While the taste of the food was not bad, if I'm spending this kind of money, I'll be going elsewhere for dinner.

I've been going to Creo since the restaurant opened, mostly for business lunch. I was there twice this week and was disappointed with the service and food quality, prep and presentation. Roasted Brussels sprouts were ok, not great, same with the sambal beef which was dry and chewy and lobster spring roll. Lobster and noodles were good in the inside, but the roll itself was fair. My client ordered tuna for lunch, medium. It came rare and cold. He sent it back to cook more. Server brought it back and it was still cold, so he ordered another dish. The restaurant was eerily not busy on a Friday afternoon. When it was always bustling. We won't be going back for awhile.

Having had very satisfying lunches at Creo a number of times, I finally was able to have dinner there. The service set the tone for a very positive experience. Our waitress was very attentive and provided the perfect guidance when helping to make a decision. The timing of our dinner was perfect as it wasn't too busy and the noise level was not distracting.
We started with the beef sambal which was phenomenal. A little bit of spice that was complemented by the pineapple. My wife and I both had the sesame encrusted tuna that was seared and served perfectly and paired well with our Pinot Gris.
Feeling very satisfied with all our meal, we opted for our desert in liquid form. The specialty coffee drinks hit the spot and capped off a delightful evening.
This was probably one of the better dinners we've had in awhile and will definitely return again.

The salmon gnocchi special with pork belly and mustard cream sauce was excellent. My party's flatbread pizza was also good but I thought the oyster crackers were odd as topping.
Very nice ambience.

the sous vide squab was well - marketed by the server but it was a disappointment. Served medium rare might be the way the chef decided but made for an unappetizing eating experience and a sour stomach later.
Menu is marginally out of the ordinary but far from inspired.... mostly small variations of standard continental fare you can get most anywhere: salmon, steaks, seared Ahi, meatloaf, lobster mac and cheese, flatbreads....nothing remarkable. However the calamari appetizer was delicious prepared with a nice Thai sauce which works very well.

Our apppetizer of flatbread and salmon/capers was outstanding; better than the tuna but even that was pretty nice. My husband and I split the steak salad for our main course at brunch and it was delicious. Meat was perfectly cooked.

We've eaten @ Creo for years - and found the menu to be creative - and the food extraordinary. But on our recent visit - the menu was ho-hum (seemed limited) and the food was fine - but not great. Service was excellent - and noise level was acceptable. We were seated near the front door - which was ok but suboptimal - felt like we were in the "low rent" district.

We had a great experience here. We were early for our reservation but they sat us immediately. The calamari was excellent! The rest of our food was ok. We had a bottle of moscato which was also delicious. The atmosphere was excellent. Would definitely recommend it and would definitely return. They even gave my fiancé a yellow rose for Valentine's Day...

For starters, there was some awards banquet going on for the first half of our meal which really put a damper on the evening. It does not seem that is always the case, but it was this night. The service, while reasonably attentive, was more paced for a quiet romantic dinner. The blaring PA announcements to the awards group put an end to that.

The beet salad was good, the chopped salad excellent. My wife's filet was tender and well-cooked, but the demi-glace on top was smokey (which was not spelled out in the description). The wood-fired lobster mac and cheese was absolutely outstanding (maybe the best lobster mac and cheese I have ever had anywhere), and very reasonably priced. The roasted cauliflower was great as well.

The desserts, however, were not real inspiring, although we were stuffed from our dinners.

Except for the loud PA announcements, it was a great dinner.

Wanted good food and got it! Unusual menu items which turned out to be excellent. Beef samba is super as was my tuna /wild rice, etc. Very good. Unusual combinations which turn out well.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but the food has gone down hill. The portions are small and the food is on par with a diner. On Saturday night I ordered the slow roasted prime rib Med rare, it came out well done, I sent it back and the waiter came back to tell me the chef cut into it and the center was Med rare. Not so I have been in the meat business for 25 years and know well done when I see it. My wife ordered the ahi tuna rare and that came out over cooked as well. The high light was the calamari appetizer it was perfect. I am truly sorry that this restaurant has fallen from grace

waiter was all push, no listen. Wife's burger came out hard, and with very little lettuce and tomato as she asked. Waiter was really skilled at what they could not do, but offered few things that could be done instead. This is the first marginal waiter we have ever had at Creo.
Disappointing.

We went to Creo for NYE, and the place was pretty busy and energetic for the holiday. We were immediately seated and approached by our waiter, who complained to us about how tired and busy he was. He seemed annoyed when we were not ready to order (although just seated with our menus and cocktail list.) The tables were very close together, so we were able to see and hear the other waiters/waitresses and it seemed that the other tables had a much better experience. The tables were given bread and butter (we were not), and their wait staff was quite attentive to their needs. We ordered the charcuterie for an appetizer (which was tasty), and the rib eye and prime rib for dinner, The meals came out and the rib eye, which was ordered medium, was very rare and all of the side dishes were cold. We had to send the meal back in the kitchen to be reheated and recooked. When the meal was returned, the steak was cooked properly, but was bland, and the sides were microwaved. We found this absolutely ridiculous for a steak that was $44?!?! We pretty much didn't see our waiter after this, and we had to ask a busboy for steak knives. At the end of the meal, the manager on duty came over to the table and did take $30 off the steak but still I do not feel this could make up for the horrible experience. Overall, we were pretty disappointed with our experience and meal. We would probably never return to Creo again.

Having eaten here several times I thought this would be a nice place to celebrate New Year's Eve. Very disappointing. I ordered the Rib Eye with bone marrow butter medium rare. It arrived so well done it was gray. When a replacement steak was brought back it was without the bone marrow butter and completely unseasoned

Overall I was satisfied with our New Years Eve Dinner here. My wife's dinner (the 1/2 chicken) was excellent and we enjoyed our appetizer-one of the Flatbreads.

My dinner-the Meatloaf-was a disappointment. My thought was that one of my favorite 'diner' meals would be really spruced up at a place like Creo. But alas it never materialized. The meat was dry and the portion ridiculously small. Most appetizers coming out had more food than what was on my plate. The menu mentioned ingredients etc (pork,beef etc!!) but there was almost no flavor.

My fault for thinking they could improve on the Glenville Diner but they could not. I recommend this restaurant but do skip the diner fare and get one thing else.

Friend and I had a marvelous celebratory lunch here. Service was good, not too noisy, and the food was terrific. Especially enjoyed the lobster bisque and the amazing pumpkin dessert, which was really like 2 or 3 desserts in one. Our smoked trout salads were also delicious. Ready to return soon!

The menu is quite limited at lunch if you don't want a burger, sandwich or flatbread. Decided on the Lobster Roll which was very good , including the cole slaw.

A great place for parents who would like to go out with their child and still have a nice dinner.

Excellent menu with unusual and tasteful appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Service was attentive and responsive to a special request.

I've been here numerous times, mostly recently for lunch with a business contact. Both the greeter and server, Salange (sp.?), were courteous and very pleasant. I'm gluten free and all of the food has been very good. We've also held our UAlbany Weekend MBA Program's farewell dinner there the last several years and have been very pleased by the service, food, and personalized menus!

This was my second lunch I. The last month at Creo and both times were great. This time I met a friend from upstate who was headed south; Creo's location just off 87 and 90ake it a perfect stopping off point. I had the beet salad and it was delicious; the perfect fall salad. Will definitely meet friends there again-also very convenient to good shopping!

Been here more than a few times and it's always very good. The food is delicious and the service is attentive and always there when you need them. Try the lobster mac and cheese. It's the best.

We found this restaurant Orientation Weekend for our son and make at least one visit to it every time we are visiting UAlbany!!! The staff go above and beyond and the food quality is superb!!! We just wish they opened up on Lon Island too!!!

Creo is a real gem. Its a wonderful vibrant atmosphere with a varied menu to please anyone. Whether its small plates and drinks in the bar or full dinners in the main room. Everything is delicious and the service is quick and personal.

It was delicious and I recommend it to anyone who ask.

I've been to Creo many times and thought I would bring a friend for the first time. My criticism is that the portions were so small- I was a little embarassed. The prices were quite high and I don't mind paying them but both entrees looked like half portions. On a positive note I do appreciate the unusual menu choices.

Went for our anniversary. The seating area is not jammed together, giving everyone plenty of space. Food was very good (note my plate was a slightly overcooked, but we were given free dessert for that). Service was prompt and efficient. Will continue to visit.

Terrible experience! They were not busy and they stuck us at worst table in the place. We were seated facing the 2 waiter stations and next to door leading to patio. The waiter would only ask my date if he needed something. It was like I was invisible. Calamari tasted like the oil in deep fryer needed to be changed and the green beans came breaded. And they also tasted like old fryer oil. Absolutely won't go back!
