The main reason I would not recommend this place is the service. Just basic stuff like serving waffles/pancakes but not bringing any syrup, not offering us any coffee, etc. We originally chose this restaurant because Open Table said that it had a great Sunday Brunch and my friend lives in the neighborhood. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised to hear from our server that they were having a special that day where they were offering mimosas for $8 per mimosa or $16 for bottomless mimosas (of course we chose the $16 option.) However, when the mimosas came they were in the smallest glasses! Much smaller than even a normal champagne glass, it was very strange. If I had paid $8 for that tiny glass I would have gotten up and left! On top of that, we had trouble getting our server's attention to fill up the glasses (or, frankly, do anything else.) It was really weird because it was not even that busy. If they don't want to sell bottomless mimosas, then don't sell them! Don't go out of your way to tell your guests about the bottomless mimosas special and then be stingy about it.

As always crēme never disappoints! I had the chicken and French toast today. I forgot how good the dark meat chicken is paired with the French toast! The owner and staff are warm and welcoming. I love the kitchen staff and the great food they produce. I recommend crēme to everyone! Thank you for another wonderful meal and amazing food!

Food was decent although two members of our party pancakes were not cooked on the inside and still doughy. You can see chefs while they cook your food and one chef was clearly eating and chewing as he was preparing food. The restaurant was also not the cleanest; arrived before 1pm (so clearly had not been that many people there already) and the floors looked like they had not been swept; walls were dirty, and just did not give me an overall impression of cleanliness.

D.E.L.I.S.H. The chicken and waffles is out of this world! The table next to me had the shrimp and grits and they raved about it. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to seafood but if you're not I would definitely try it. As a foodie I was NOT disappointed. Good food is hard to come by and I found a gem. I will definitely be back. ❤❤❤❤❤

The best brunch in town! Chicken and waffle never fails. The server James is the best! The owner is sweet and nice and the kitchen always produces great food! I recommend crēme to everyone! I love when it’s busy and theirs energy in the room. It’s absolutely worth any wait! Great meal and great service! Order the chicken and waffle and the shrimp and grits!

Had the worst time. Didn’t get seated until 29 mins after our time. Then under the bottomless mimosa we were only allowed 4!!! It took a whole hour for the food to arrive !! And the manager was extremely rude !! First time and my LAST !!

Disappointed that they had only tables in the very loud bar area available (we had 5:30pm on a Saturday, reservations), and not an upstairs or quieter option. The server and kitchen were prompt when we told them one of our friends had another commitment. Blackened salmon was served broiled, while it was cooked to perfection it was not blackened with southern or cajun flavors at all. My friends enjoyed their meals. It's got a trendy decor and is in heart of U street.I would recommend for a place to grab a drink and hearty appetizer or try a meal on another day of the week when the bar area is not so noisy.

I think the space could be better allocated to fit a full house of reservations. Seemed like all ten tables which were occupied were on one side of the room. This made it super uncomfortable seeing as the back of my chair was constantly being bumped. Also, there should be a host at the host stand or within distance at all times. We waited at the host stand for nearly 10 mins before anyone said anything to us.

The service was awful!! When I complained that my friend’s food had not arrived, an hour after she ordered it, and she subsequently requested to cancel the order, our waiter stated that, “we do not give free food.”

We ordered “bottomless mimosas” however my friend and I only received one refill over the span of two hours, despite requesting refills. Moreover, our waiting appeared to be highly bothered with every request my friends and I made.

We finally spoke with the owner, who had been actively avoiding our table, she offered no explanation or remorse for the poor/ lack of service.

I will not be returning and I will also active discourage anyone from patronizing Creme!
