Unfortunately not a good experience. Always enjoyed, but now I doubt
My wife ordered a Kentucky Mule which pretty much all ice cubes.
I ordered Manhattan Clam Chowder and was served NewEngland Style.
Bill came and had drinks charged which we never ordered.
Waitress was nowhere to be found.
It will be a while before we return.
Enjoyed our lunch at Creekview. Our server was friendly and helped us get out in time to head to the airport. Food was good, but disappointed in salad entree
We were in the back room which feels like it is getting to be so slanted that it’s gonna fall in the creek and the climate control was crazy one minute it would be really hot and then the next we were putting our coats on.
The reason for less than five stars for overall is because of the reservation system. When we arrived, we were shown to our table in the bar area. I did not want to sit at the bar, since one of the reasons I chose Creekview for NY's eve was for a quiet dinner with our 14 year old son. Not a noisy bar. I was told that since I reserved the table using "open table" that's what I get! Really? Was I the only one using open table? Or the only one "lucky" enough to get stuck at the bar? And there was no indication whatsoever letting me know I could be seated in the bar. I had also called the restaurant earlier that day to confirm and no one mentioned the bar table at that time either. So, my suggestion to you is to be more clear in the "open table" reservation to let people know where they may be seated.
Other than the noisy and awkward table position, we much enjoyed our meal, food was delicious, and the waitress was great, and very friendly!!! Thank you. (p.s... the hostess could have been a little more sympathetic though, and she needs to smile!!)
We have been to the Creekview several times and always enjoy a good meal. Our waiter was very attentive.
Only negative is that the tables can be very close together and it is noisy. We were able to change to a quieter table.
Have been to this restaurant many times at Xmas and this was the worst experience we every had
We got there at 630 waited 20 min for waitress
Who was very sweet and overwhelmed with table
Ordered our meals and took over one hour
Both meals we not even warm one dinner
Did not have correct vegetables and the roast beef
Since it was Xmas they should hired more servers
And correct the problem with the kitchen
Getting the meals out
The food was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Great place for dinner with friends before going to the theater.
We had the slowest service, cold New England clam chowder, waited forever, and the fish fry was average. In contrast, the stuffed peppers were good and the signature Tom and Jerry drink was divine. It was a treat for dinner and greeters were nice. Room next to the water was freezing. So surprised. ☹️
If your looking for a casual get together with friends and a bite to eat this is a great place. They have small plates to share, good drink selections and reasonable prices. I wouldn't recommend it for a date or if you're looking for an intimate night out. It was quite loud in the seating area by the bar and the first dining area. We were seating in the lower dining area by the creek which was much quieter with a lovely view of the creek, but it was a bit chilly on a cold December night. I'll try coming back in the warmer weather and maybe during the week when it's not as noisy and crowded. The service was good considering it was a packed house.
Warm, welcoming and comfortable.
Service was perfect.
Food was delicious
Excellent food! Our waitress, Marisa, was fantastic too!
The patio needs some sound cushioning. The noise was unbearable. The turkey club sandwich was billed as having hand-carved turkey. It did not.
Excellent evening. Food delicious and staff friendly and accommodating
I would have given a 5 star review but for the fact our table was really squeezed in, difficult to get in and out of the seat. Since this is a very unique setting, narrow so as all can have a view of the creek, it is a minor inconvenience compared to the rest of the aspects of dining here.
Always good....soup was delicious...and the service was friendly and efficient.
Second year for Thanksgiving and the food and service was great. We had to two more people and they were very accommodating.
Great place to eat and have a cocktail. Lots of local flavor and view of the Creek.
Great food and nice place for dinner. Nice menu selections.
The only problem is parking.....so many people want to come here and the plaza isn't restaurant friendly for parking. The ladies bathroom is cute....but right outside the kitchen (poor waitresses) and way too small. There isn't much you can do because of location and age of the building. It's great in spite of this.
We sat overlooking the creek - we felt that it was quit cold and noisy. Food was good, but gravy was a bit cold.
We had a great time. Food was better that we expected, but room was noisy.
Very cozy . Wide variety of food to select from . Nice , friendly staff . Best to make reservations .
We were there to celebrate my special birthday. Our server Jessica was excellent & everyone enjoyed their food. After dinner our server asked if anyone was interested in dessert, my aunt had brought in a birthday cake & asked if that could be served. We were flabbergasted to learn that we would be charged $3.00 per person. Having spent $240 for dinner on a week night in a fairly empty restaurant I believe an exception should have been made. They weren't going to lose dessert sales anyway as none of us were planning on ordering dessert. I have been in other casual restaurants when birthday cake has been brought in & have never had this happen before. My wife & I have always enjoyed Creekview & actually had our first date there 30 years ago but it will be a long time before we return.
We met an out of town friend for dinner. It was easy to talk & the food was excellent. Service attentive.
Cramped and noisy..
It was our first visit. We all loved the food and old charm of the building. Even though it was busy, we had great service and enjoyed the atmosphere.
was a great place to have a nice relaxing dinner with our family the food as well as the service were wonderful
Was having a great time until the Manager came over and asked that we keep it down. That would be an acceptable request if there was not live music performing in the same venue. Until their is a management change I would not recommend.
I've been here several times. It never disappoints!
My husband and I always go for the october fest. The German platter is very good.
Actually all of the above. I am sure if I was there another time I would find ALL as a positive experience. I don’t drink but my friends do and seemed to enjoy what they had. Service and food was excellent. Will gladly share my thoughts to others and encourage them to go.This was the second time this month I was at Creekview. The first time there were six of us and some were from out of town. Everyone enjoyed their meal and said they would love to go there again the next time they come here.
Poor food, loud ambience , wait time for food unacceptably long
Everything was excellant, good was fantastic and so was the atmosphere
A little shabbier than I thought for Williamsville. Couple of house flies decided the window near us was the place to be. Waitress was very nice. Wings were delicious. “Small Plate” shrimp tacos are two full sized tacos - that was nice!
The view is great but the food is not! Both of our meals were a disappointment and not fully cooked. Awful. Will never go back.
Love the menu - good variety. Something for every diner. Quality of food very good & well presented. Service usually acceptible.
We had a nice table on the patio overlooking the creek.
The food was very good-the pork tenderloin was very tender and had a delicious sauce.
The rainbow trout was one of the specials and was grilled perfectly.
Appetizer, stuffed banana peppers were terribly tasteless as well as my main meal which was ala-vodka penne pasta. Was totally unflavorful. Never had a disappointment with this dish elsewhere. Sauce was like a watered down tomato soup. No cream flavor at all. Another disappointment with my experience was the waitress passed a hot dish over to me without warning of how hot it was, and I nearly dropped it as it burned. Thank goodness my husband was able to rescue this. No apology was given by our waitress. Note, she had a towel around dish for herself. This could have resulted tragically. Did enjoy eating next to window overlooking creek,as this was our first dinner here.
I love going to Creekview. I love the broiled fish, it's a healthy option to the Fish Fry.
Acoustics terrible. Have to shout to hear someone across the table. This is the case both in the main seating area as well as in the creeside room.
Also waiters asked us THREE times if they could take away our dishes while one of us had not finished eating. Poorly trained staff!!
