The food was very good, service was decent. Our table was tucked in a corner where we were surrounded by electrical outlets, a fire hydrant, and next to a cold door (there was a space heater next to the table) as well. Other than that it was a nice outing with friends and their children.
Went for a business dinner. The atmosphere was nice tables were a little cramped together. Food was great service was good never felt rushed as it was a business dinner and there was a lot to talk about and finding time to look over the menu and get our orders in was a challenge, but the staff was very patient and encouraged us to take our time. Drinks were good craft beer selection was limited. All in all 4.5 stars!
Meh. The food was all right but I felt like I was in a retirement home dining room. The atmosphere was boring. The waitress, Miss Glitter Eyes was a little strange. She was nice but kept on emphasizing the up charges of $3 for this option, $2 extra for that option and so on. It was a little annoying. I don't really care about minor uncharging since the bill for two people will be close to $100 regardless. This is not the type of restaurant for the budget-conscious which is ok!
Creekview is one of our fave spots for lunch & dinner. For this review I'll comment on our dinner - my husband enjoyed a tuna steak special (always a great list of daily features) and I ordered the Olivers burger for the first time - a big juicy burger with bacon-jam & arugula- named after their fine dining restaurant in Buffalo. It was delicious! We shared a slice of key lime pie which was perfectly tart & sweet (made in- house). All food is consistent. Must mention the martinis - nice & frosty & filled to the top of the glass. You will not be disappointed here.
I've been to Creekview several times before, but they seem to have stepped up their game in the kitchen. Not so much new in the menu options, but my order was perfectly prepared. Nothing fancy, but just getting a burger cooked exactly the way you order is pretty rare! Service was great, esp w a busy lunch time crowd.
The food was good, although I was not as impressed with the spaghetti squash as I was with my boyfriend's shrimp scampi. The portion for his "large plate" was not much bigger than my "small plate," which was disappointing considering the price difference. The menu does offer a pretty large variety, so I do intend to go back and try other items. The restaurant is located along a creek, which is very pretty, but it's a rather small restaurant and can get noisy when full. I don't mind that as much as some other people might.
Everything is fine, except the noise level. Some "softening" might be put in the ceiling to deaden the sound. We go there quite frequently, and if more than 2 people are sitting at a table near us, it is virtually impossible for two people to carry on a normal (without also shouting) conversation. We were there this past Friday evening. A party of four sat near us, and we had to leave early because of their talking. This is especially the situation in the entire area immediately beyond the bar area. We know two couples that will not go there because of the noise level.
everything was great as usual with 2 exceptions:
we did not get the Creekside window table we asked for. However we did get a glass panel seat upstairs looking on the creek so it worked out in the end. Still no reason we didn't get the available window seating.
my wife's pasta was not hot.
I am a Veteran and my wife and I were married on the island across the creek back in 2004 after basic training. So I thought this would be a great place for Mother's Day dinner after 12+ yrs of marriage with our 8y old son. The only good thing about our experience was I did get the table I asked for in my reservation and we could see the creek below.
I ordered the 8oz Fillet Megnon and it came covered in bark from the grill. I thought that it would be flavor but it turned out to be all the old charred burnt stuff from the grill. It was terrible. I cut off the burnt and ate around it. Still not good. I've never had a filet so I wanted to endulge. It cost $37 for the steak and potatoes and soup or salad. The only plus was the waitress added asparagus for free for me.
My wife ordered the Chiken piccata and the waitress asked if we have been there before. My wife said no and that was it. While we waited we over heard our waitress tell another customer, that had been there before, that she didn't like how they changed the recipe on the chiken piccata. So she suggested something else. The reason I bring this up is Bc my wife ended up not being too fond of the chicken. Why didn't the waitress give us her suggestion?
Overall I spent $100 for a terrible meal. I didn't want to complain Bc it was so busy and I really just wanted to get out of there and it took long enough to get my reserved table and our food.
I guess the take away is just don't go on holidays.
We decided to dine at Creekview again because we checked out the menu online and it looked good. We had eaten there a couple of years ago and really liked the small plates we chose. The menu was not the same online as in the restaurant which is a huge pet peeve of mine. Shows a lack of attention to detail that drives me crazy. My husband and I settled for something else other than what we really had in mind and he liked his dinner (chicken picata), but I didn't care for mine - linguini and white clam sauce. Just two clams in the shell and a bunch of canned clams in a thick white sauce that didn't have any taste. I was super disappointed.
The shrimp scampi ordered was one of the best we've ever had but unfortunately, the service was EXTREMELY slow. We were waiting at least 30 mins for our order to be taken and we had to ask for bread to be brought to the table, which we then declined since it was right AFTER our orders were brought out.
We visit family in Williamsville NY frequently. We always try to schedule a dinner at the Creekview Restaurant beside Ellicott Creek. Very good food with creative menu items as well as tried and true classic dishes. Excellent service and watching the creek is always a treat.
Was busy the night we dined so "opentableing" was a big plus. Food was very good and service was friendly, but a bit overextended. Took over an hour before the entrees arrived.
Will definitely dine again and would like to get a seat near the large windows with the dramatic view of the creek.
Another great dinner with great service. Best of all: I forgot my purse, noticed it an hour later, called, and they had it. So relieved! Many thanks to our server who not only took very good care of us, but retrieved my purse. Definitely my go-to place when I do business with out-of-towners.
