It is difficult to review well because we ate outside and it was freezing cold. The food was mostly great, as was the wine. The ambiance could have been better with some sort of separation from the street (homeless people walking by, loud cars, etc.). If they add additional heaters, and some sort of barrier, it would be a much better experience!
Exceptional service and really great, fresh food. Really enjoy their patio with heaters.
Great! Great! Great!
You need to try (and support) this unique place in downtown.
Restaurant week. Found a great new restaurant!!
Amazing dinner! We went for SF restaurant week and it was 100% worth it. The portions were larger than I was expecting (great as leftovers, too). Service was phenomenal! Staff was attentive and even swapped out my friends dish (free of charge) when she thought it was a little too salty. Could not recommend this place enough! 5/5 for service and food.
Great food and great service!
The carpaccio starter is unique and delicious, highly recommended.
Excellent service. Food was very fresh and high quality.
Because people were becoming concerned about the virus, the place was less full than normal, but the entire experience was at that same high level that keeps bringing us back to Credo! The quality of food, its preparation, presentation, and flavor were at their usual peak.
Double Birthday dinner
Great square table
Yummy food
Fine service
All in all a good experience.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years and have throughly enjoyed the food. On my last visit I was very surprised to see a similar but different menu. White the food use to be great, I found this experience barley marginal. Too bad.
Very nice Italian food with an innovative touch. Food was excellent, service very nice, all in a cozy atmosphere. We liked the Credo - I believe - writings on the walls, provided fodder for conversation.
It was too expensive for what you got. It wanted to be high end but was lacking a few things.
Amazing food and great sparkling wine!
Valentines
The food was quite bland and the service was a little slow most likely due to it being Valentines
The staff was very nice
Valentines
Valentine’s Day dinner here didn’t disappoint. This is one of my all time favorite Italian places in the city and the outstanding service food and drinks are why I find myself coming back every single time.
We dined downstairs in the private dining room which was set up for individual tables on Valentines Day. It was a lovely experience. Service was excellent, food was wonderful. A great find if you're willing to brave the financial district. The garage at 555 California has public parking in the evening for $12.
Everything was taken care of from the moment we got there. We did make a reservation but it didn’t seem super packed for a Thursday so I’m not sure if that’s absolutely necessary. Good food and wine!
Always enjoy my meals at this restaurant.
Went to Credo for lunch. The food choices were good; different and interesting. I liked the layout and design of the main dining area. The server was friendly and took good care of us. Two cons on the restaurant were it took awhile to get seated although we had reservations and the room ambience is loud so it was a little difficult for conversation.
Solid dinner option with excellent service. Loud and happening place.
As usual, good food, medium prices.
You can spend hours trying to read & discuss the words on the walls & those downstairs while waiting to use the bathroom. Do checkout the adjoining private dining room, very cool. Clint is an interesting guy...
Good solid Italian food, but the restaurant was extremely noisy so very difficult to have a conversation over dinner.
It was delicious food but very loud.
I felt it was understaffed and service was slow as a result. the entrees were over sauced and the salmon was overcooked.
The food was good but nothing that would make me want to go back (vs. explore other restaurants).. The service was great all around - at the bar, the hostess, and our waiter.
The food was good - I had the risotto special and it was delicious.. my friend liked his dish.
But the noise level was so loud we could not hear each other. This is the only reason I give the restaurant a low rating.. well this and the fact that the tables are soooo close together.
Average good, with above average prices. We got the burrata and citus salad as appetizers, followed by couple of the pastas. Everything tasted below average. Infact we sent the ravioli back to the kitchen as it was not cooked to perfection. The prices on the food as well the local wine are simply not justified.
Vacation in San Francisco
Always a great meal - really creative dishes with lots of flavor. Love the ambiance.
Food was phenomenal, service exceptional. We went in early for dinner because I had my kids with me and they were great with the kids as well.
Food was terrific! My only suggestion would be for people who try not to eat too much or any dairy to have a couple more items without cheese but overall, love the food and the options provided. Will go back for sure -- just not with anyone hard of hearing, as it got quite noisy as the room filled up.
Great little jewel in the Financial District. The service was excellent, décor fun and eclectic, food fabulous, but a little loud if you want to have serious conversations. Otherwise the energy is infectious.
It's the second time I've been there and would highly recommend it. I'm making reservations for next week!
Great food - pricing on Chopped Salad is significantly high for what you get. Pricing should be a bit lower.
Our waiter was absolutely EXCELLENT as was the Food.
OmG..this is A-MAZ-ING experience.
The food is phenomenal; enough said.
We will be back.
What made the experience so lovely; our server, Oscar.
Credo was a wonderful experience. The host was extremely kind from the beginning and our server was knowledgeable about the menu inside and out. He even engaged in delightful conversation with us about the preparation of the meal and never rushed us when we were finishing up a course. The food was incredible and we will definitely be coming back again!
Nice environment. Appetizer of brussel sprouts excellent. Pasta super salty. Sea bass outstanding.
Food was really good and fresh
We had a very good time at this restaurant. The hostess was welcoming and made us at home right away. The food was great, and the service was very attentive and comforting. The food came at a very good timing. The table was not too close each other and we could have a good conversation not hearing other tables talk. We will come back.
The restaurant is very nice. The service was excellent. We had the chicken and it was adequate at best. No reason to ever return.
