The chopped salad was excellent and my husband and I split it. They divided it nicely on two plates and customized one ingredient for my husband. The salmon and cod entrees were excellent with the right amount of firmness to the fish with good flavors. My only complaint is that my cappuccino was not hot enough but the manager took it back and added warm milk foam. The ambiance is interesting with all the quotes on the walls to read and discuss. Relaxed atmosphere and attentive service. We will return!

The General Manager, Brandon, is an outstanding front of the house representative who understands how to handle a busy lunch crowd and make everyone feel like they are at a special table. Our server, Alex, was also extremely attentive. The food was terrific and this is a spot that I would feel comfortable taking someone special, for a myriad of occasions.

Our party of six was "comped" two delicious appetizers by the manager Brandon after we had to wait quite a while for our table. The manager continued to make sure that we received the best of service. The melted pecorino with grilled bread appetizer was amazing, and the pumpkin gnocchi were light and SOOO flavorful. Everything was very good, but the restaurant is very loud, so we were happy to have been sat at a table off to ourselves in the back. Our party was very happy to have tried this restaurant for Dine About Town week! We'll be back.

We were seated in the area by the stairwell to the basement right by the kitchen. It was very loud. We had a large party and I thought we would get a table downstairs. I had never seen anyone get seated where we were. The service and food were very good but the noise level was too loud.

It was for a casual business lunch during SF restaurant week. A little shocked that the waiter was trying hard to "upsell" from the $25 special.

I have been to this restaurant more times than I can count. Its on our regular rotation but we hadn't been in a while & something changed. The food was really sub par this time. Pizza crust was burnt yet the toppings were cold. The pasta was not drained before plating so essentially I had cavatelli soup. The blue cheese dressing overwhelmed the fried green tomatoes. Everything was really bland and we had to ask for salt & pepper, something we have never had to do previously.

We went for SF Restaurant week, and after looking at the special menu, decided that it was more food than we could eat for lunch. We opted instead to order 2 starters and split them. We got the shrimp in garlic sauce and the brussels sprouts with pancetta. Both were delicious, and we were both satisfied with the amount of food. The bread is a non-white sourdough, which was sublime with the butter, the garlic sauce from the shrimp. or by itself.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and so was the wine! My friend and I were experiencing Restaurant Week and so I made a reservation. I arrived early & the table wan't ready- so worries, I waited at the bar for my friend and the table. I ordered a red wine from Paso Robles- delicious! When our table was ready, the hostess came and showed us to the table. The food was so good. I had the arugula salad & my friend had the octopus, since we tend to sample each other's plates- the octopus was yummy. He had the pork chop and I had the pumpkin gnocchi. The pork chop was perfect. The pumpkin gnocchi was sweeter than I expected....I may not order that again. The bread for the table was good, it came with a salted butter. The dessert: we both had the banana pudding: OMG. SOOO good! I was definitely a happy camper. The servers were attentive and friendly. I would definitely return.

Was surprised to see portion sizes have decreased while costs remained the same or increased. The pasta my colleague ate was unimpressive, but the meatball/polenta appetizer I had was great. Decent by-the-glass wine options. Took quite a while to get check, get it cashed out, etc. This restaurant will stay in rotation but dropped a bit in my book.

We were extremely disappointed with this restaurant. From the minute we walked in and heard the noise level (we'd requested a quiet place), to our server who ignored us (my husband had to eventually shout for the check!). In a word, it was awful.

I've had decent dinners before but this time met a friend for lunch and we were seated at the table right next to the door, and the waiter brought me tea when I asked for tea and water, and I had a salad which was just okay and rather small for the hefty price.

This is a local restaurant that we haven't been to in a while so we thought that we would revisit. I like the restaurant and the ambiance, our server was terrific and very attentive, and appetizers were great. Entrees (steak and cod) were somewhat underwhelming (cod was dry and steak did not have much flavor). Would I recommend to a friend, probably not at this time, however would I give them another chance and try them again - I would.

I went to Credo for lunch with a friend. The ambiance and interior space was lovely and the tables were not too close together. The menu was interesting and there was something for everyone. We got the bread, which was hearty and good, but the butter was covered in salt (which turned out to be a theme). Understand that I am not particularly sensitive. I love salt and add probably too much of it to my food, but this was a bit much even for me. I ordered the risotto, which turned out to be broccoli raab and seared scallops. It was cooked to perfection but again there was WAY too much salt, even for this saltaholic. My friend tried it and could not eat it for the salt. If this had been a business lunch I would have sent it back to the kitchen, but I did not want to spoil the great time we were having.

The waiter was attentive and friendly and the food prepared perfectly. It would have been a five-star experience had there not been so much salt in everything. I am hoping that this is an unusual experience at this site. For the price of the meal ($35 apiece without appetizers, alcohol or desserts) it might have been a better approach to provide salt (no salt or pepper on any of the tables) so that people can regulate the seasoning for themselves rather than over-salting even the butter for the bread.

We made the reservation for 3, but had friends unexpectedly able to join us, and Credo allowed us to up the number without any problems. The food is very flavorful, every dish very good. The atmosphere is a little noisy, but we were all able to hear the conversation. On the pricey side, but pleasing to know we were eating local and well sourced food.

We loved Credo, the atmosphere, the great quotes on the wall and especially the food! I ordered the special of the day; risotto with bacon wrapped scallops which was fantastic! My partnered ordered the pasta/sausage dish which was wrapped in a pizza dough bowl which was a huge hit! We’d go back again for sure!

So, this is our 3rd or 4th time here, and each time, we walk away satisfied, but not entirely jazzed about our visit. This place has so much potential, but each time we go there, it's just "meh..." I'm speaking about the food (it's good, just not as stellar I would expect for the location nor the pricing). It's also significantly loud inside--I have no idea how to fix that, but it's a consideration--more appropriate for a happy hour atmosphere. That being said, our server was pretty great! Accommodating, friendly, helpful. It made up for a lot.
