Have gone to the buffet a number of times. Always good and not that expensive.
Came for Sunday brunch. Was expecting more I guess. No Omelete bar, pretty much everything was Luke warm. Waffles were not good at all, cold and hard. The waiter was great and the coffee was good. I unfortunately won’t run back.
Was a last minute choice and we were pleased with our choice! Service was excellent even though they were very busy and the food was very good!
Valentine’s dinner was a complete disappointment. The special meal was described as prawns with spinach and roasted peppers—the prawns came out on a bed of beets and onions. My wife dislikes both, so we traded and she had my over cooked steak instead.
The service was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this restaurant
We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Day dinner. We had a special guest from out of town and we did not want to spend precious visiting time preparing a Christmas dinner so eating out was the solution. It was beautiful and so relaxing as well as worry free. Food was creative and fabulous. Presentation was lovely. Service was excellent but not intrusive. The price was relatively inexpensive compared to other venues.Never disappointed at Creations.
Staff was provided excellent service and the food was very good.
The dessert bar was disappointing. Very few choices, not particularly inspiring.
The individual service given at the omelet bar was fabulous. The chef there went above and beyond to deal with me.
Very quiet night in this restaurant, waiter Rey was awesome. He was attentive and a great sense of humour. We enjoyed the buffet! Salads were very fresh, a creamy pumpkin soup warranted seconds, scalloped potatoes yummy..........the fresh made berry crumble was delicious as were the small cakes. Worth a visit. Buffet price for seniors $25.95 very reasonable for the 4 courses.
I have been coming here for years for special occasions. Have always previously enjoyed it. The service and ambiance hasn’t changed but the quality of food has. Nothing was fresh. Almost all the food was hard or dry (including desert). The lunch station has now been converted to crock pots and it was the saddest desert selection I have ever seen. I dont know if there were recent budget cuts but I will never come back here to eat again.
I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.
Service exceeded expectations - great food / varied buffet - good family experience - cosy atmosphere - not too noisy
Our waiter was pretty kickass. Keep up the good work
I had the salmon it was amazing. Our server was awesome. So nice and the bar tender was hilarious. we had a great dining experience. So quiet too. sat by the fire. beautiful decor.
Enjoyed their buffet again. Layout was changed from Mother's Day and was kinda confusing... but once you figured out where things were, you are happy.
The seniors in my group enjoyed the food selection and atmosphere. They will be coming again.
Went for Mother's Day buffet and we enjoyed ourselves. Not the big choice of some buffets but the food was very good and the service was very attentive. Looking to go back again for Father's Day.
We come here as much as we can. Love the brunch, great choice in food. We love the atmosphere so much we decided to have our wedding here. Just an excellent gem in the great city of Edmonton
We went for breakfast on Mother's Day but not for the brunch. The waitress didn't suggest the menu so we had the smorg. The waffles and pancakes were very dry from sitting out and it was pretty average food. Our waitress was exceptional!
We were seated on the lounge side of the fireplace, in leather comfort chairs, giving a great ambiance to the meal. Very relaxing and enjoyable.
We went here only by the Open Table recommendation on Valentine's Day. We were very impressed. The Sawridge is owned by First Nations and there are lovely paintings and artifacts worth walking around the hotel checking out. If you want a place that is quite different and interesting, then you will not be disappointed. Oh yeah, we liked the dinner very much too. You will not be disappointed by this little unknown gem. It is on Gateway Avenue but you probably drive by it and not notice it.
Great food and service, as usual. Love this quiet place.
There are so many good places on Opentable and somehow I ended up here. The place was completely dead and the food was thrown together and cold in some places on the plate. I hate leaving bad reviews but somebody has to give a warning to others.
Very disappointed with our service. Had to ask for everything, starting with menus, right through to the credit card machine. Then the waiter threw out what we asked him to pack up to take home. Worst service we have had dining out in years.
Clean, friendly wait service, beautiful fire place. Great food and nice selection on the drink menu. Would recommend to a friend for sure.
A nice hotel dining room - nothing too fancy. A few menu items to choose from so should make it easy for most people to select a good meal. I had the Bison meatloaf - wow. Yummy. Only suggestion would be to have an extra 1-2 TBSPs of sauce to smoosh into the mashed potatoes. My husband had the short rib - a very generous chunk. Glad we didn't order an appetizer as the meals alone were plenty filling. No dessert either. Service attentive and not rushed. Two mains + 2 beers = $90 (incl tax and 20% tip)
The food was delicious and our service was very informative. I will definitely go back
Portion size small and not enough sauce. Waiter dos bring more sauce on request.
The salmon had a nice crisp to it and the sides had tons of veggies. Nice instead of the usual carb load. Pea soup was hearty although a little over salted
The food, service and ambiance was great. The maple spice cake was unbelievable! This is one of Edmonton's best kept secrets.
Excellent soup and main entree . Our waiter was very patient as we had a delay in starting the supper due to a huge rainstorm that evening. We were one hour later than our booking time.
Out of 2 appetizers and 2 entres, only one plate was good
We thoroughly enjoyed everything. Maybe because we were 1 of 3 groups in the restaurant, but the service was great, the food was flavorful and the atmosphere was elegant.
Service was fantastic! They also have a great wine list that is very well priced - eg they don't gauge you like most restaurants do.
Food took so long to come. Steak was over cooked and although they asked me if I want another one, I wasn't ready to wait for so long again for food.
Also the bill came without any kind of discount at least.
We had entrees for four. Flavours were somewhat flat, and too salty. Veggies underdone and meat overdone. Staff seemed quite distracted even though there were less then 12 guests in the restaurant. I was reluctant to leave a tip.
Found this place thanks to yelp and have not stopped talking about how good this meal was! The staff was super friendly and very gracious. I celebrated my birthday with my family. Our first time to a new restaurant and they really made us happy. Food was served within 20 min. Would I come back? Absolutely.
I read about this hidden gem in an Edmonton restaurant review. Creations ranked #1 for a reason. The food is exquisite, service outstanding, superb wine choices, and was quiet enough for good conversation in a very pleasant atmosphere. Try it--you won't be disappointed!
Place looked amazing, that quickly vanished with the poor wait staff (not rude just bad). Took over an hour to get our food, lobster risotto should be called cheesy rice with grass on top. Roasted Hun, how you burn something to a crisp and it still be soggy is impressive.
After desert I asked for the bill waiting 20 mins asked again before I finally recieved it.
For the same price go to the keg or any other fine eating establishments.
We booked for the sea food buffet Wed July 2nd we arrived on time only to find out that the buffet had been cancelled for the summer. You need to keep in touch with the restaurants that you work with to insure that your information is correct.
