The hotel and dining room have an open ceiling concept and very nice decore. We were there for the Thanksgiving Dinner. We were seated promptly but then had no one come to our table after that for a very long time. Once the waitress eventually came and asked if we wanted a liquor list which we declined so told us to go help ourselves. I had to ask if we could get drinks other then liquor which she grudgingly took our order for (not sure why that was a problem). The line for the buffet here is only one-sided as it is placed against a wall so it took a fairly long time to get through. They were offering both turkey and prime rib but only had one carver for both. We figured out that was the reason for the long wait in line as she had to cut pieces for every person in line. If they had have had 2 people carving it would have moved things along much faster. The food was very good but I do wish there was had been a second vegetable offering such as broccoli along with the Brussel sprouts as that wasn't very popular with anyone at our table. Overall I would return here but probably for a regular meal and not a special day that is very busy.
We went for the thanksgiving buffet. Food was amazing and the service was excellent! Five stars all around.
Ambiance was amazing. Great place for a quiet dinner like we wanted. The waitress was very sweet and friendly, but I think she was new as she really couldn’t answer any questions. The food was great, but I do wish they offered smaller portions for seniors.
We will literally book to stay at this hotel again JUST to have an excuse to eat here again!! What a nice surprise! Food selection and quality that I would normally only expect in a 5star vacation setting!
Surprisingly good food. Very quiet at lunch. We went for lunch on a Friday at 11:45. We were the only ones there when we got there. When we left, maybe 2 or 3 more tables. There was one waiter on staff and he was very polite but also busy delivering to rooms and such. Service was good anyway. The food was much better than we expected. Surprising! The decor is very nice and the place looks like it's new despite being around 20 years old already. Only sign of wear was the chairs - they badly need reupholstering. Booths we like brand new. So, great little lunch getaway if you want quiet, privacy, and good food. I fear that if they don't drum up some lunchtime sales, they may not be around for long.
Fathers Day brunch at Sawridge Inn was fantastic. A good selection of food so good value for the $30.00 per person charge. The staff were excellent and the management were considerate of our mother with dimensia, permitting her to take her leftovers home. We really appreciated the kindness and will definitely return!
The food was lukewarm at best . Bacon and sausage was cold as were a few other dishes
Lacked proper staffing for a Sunday brunch. Lines were too long and only one person working omelet station til 1130. Food wasn’t replenished on a timely matter.
not a lot of selections . could have used breakfast items and fresh fruit
We went for brunch at 11:30 am, only a half hour after service started.
The food was cold, very cold.
We were served coffee first then didn't see the server for over an hour. We would have liked more coffee and I had to go looking for someone to get some.
For this price I expected more... hot food and service.
Not many vegetarian/vegan options - otherwise it was great for our group!
brought in a group of 11 people for brunch in the private room
celebrating 3 staff who have been with our company for 10 years + - this is our 3rd year doing this with your facility.
This year was terribly disappointing.
Brunch was terrible and the service was very weak.
Feedback is for you to improve the experience for
others as we will not be back. We will find a new location for our annual breakfast club.
Waiter was very funny! The Violinist was Awesome!
I would recommend this place to everyone
The food is great. The staff are outstanding.
Will be back soon
We went out for Christmas Dinner and had a wonderful meal and excellent service. We had never been inside this hotel and will definitely be returning to Creations
My family really enjoyed our Christmas Day Table d'Hote meal. Entree options were appreciated rather than just the traditional turkey. The other three members of my family loved their entrees. The only quibble I had was that my turkey was not very warm. Our server was fantastic. Overall, a lovely experience.
This was the third Christmas Day brunch we had been to and the first time time we were disappointed.
The food was good quality but the choices were odd. No omelette station, no salad bar, no shellfish ( understandable at your price range maybe) and the eggs Benedict looked dry. No potatoes served with the main entrees (though the carrot and turnip mash is my favourite vegetable choice), and those served on the shepherds pie weren't thick enough to taste. I am English but I didn't expect to see such a pedestrian dish on Christmas Day.
For me the dessert bar is usually always the star of the show on Christmas Day, but this year the desserts did not even look appealing - more like something a non baker would put out. No pies, no gateaux, even the mixed fruit was just dumped into a bowl.
Your serving staff came through for you though - they were outstanding as always!
Food was ok , few things were mislabeled and not fresh .
While the restaurant was a pleasant place to eat the roast beef in the buffet was not replenished. Customers waiting for the roast beef were offered steak after a considerable period where no beef was available.
Good selection for all our tastes
This was a large group (12) and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The Christmas buffet was excellent and we all really enjoyed it.
We went for the Seasonal Buffet and it was a lovely set-up and the food was excellent. I had a hard time finding somewhere for a small group to do a "Christmas" lunch and this was perfect.
The Sunday brunch was better then expected, food quality great, service people very considerate. The ambience was great further away from the TV's in the attached sports bar. We will return.
This is a great spot! Service was good, it's a beautiful lounge/dining room and the food was FANTASTIC! We had no idea the food was that good--we WILL be back soon! (We needed the music turned off for a special event for a few minutes and they did this for us--thanks so much!)
We received a gift card for Christmas last year and decided to take out the family for Sunday Brunch. The food was terrible for $27.00 per person. The pork sausages were terrible and after one bite I wanted to through up. It went down hill from there. The bacon was ????? The pudding in the glass jar was okay but that was it. I was embarrassed for our daughter who picked this place to get a gift card from. 7 adults and 1 child were not satisfied. Maybe the menu food would have been better.
The salmon dish was very disappointing - overpriced for what was served.
Loved the atmosphere inside. Great selection of food on the menu and very diverse for various dietary restrictions. I liked the fact that the food was authentic. My niece ordered a great vegetarian dish called Lentil Shepherd's pie which which was hearty and I shared the fish and chips adding an extra piece of fish. Everything was great except the coleslaw had too much mustard which overpowered the taste. Great experience and will go again.
We were a family group of 7. Food was excellent. Service and friendliness of the staff was top notch. Good variety for vegetarians. Local ingredients made for an interesting selection. A wonderful evening! Thank you.
Food was good but has been much better in the past. Service was pretty slow. Had to be careful when you went to the buffet as food trays were empty a lot.
Got there and had to seat ourselves in the lounge even though we had a reservation for the dining room which was empty.
Then waited a good 20 min before we got menus. Another 20 minutes to get half a drink order in. 15 minutes to get some water a beer. Finally 10 minutes after we got drink she came to take our order.
Put our orders in, nothing complicated. No changes or additions. Bison ravioli, burger, steak, salmon and risotto balls for appy.
Waited 40 minutes for 3 itty bitty balls. Waited another 40 minutes for 3 of the 4 meals. Wasn’t even the waitress who brought plates. Busboy asks 4th person if they ordered or?.... person confirms that yes they had ordered and yes they were hungry. Manager comes and apologizes waitress forgot to enter order!! Would be 5 minutes! Finally 20 minutes later last meal arrives after everyone is finished. 1 person ordered dessert (spice cake) and 1 ordered a second plate of fries when missing meal arrives. Took another 30 minutes to get that food. Fries arrived, dessert cake but wasn’t the dessert that was ordered. Bill promptly dropped off with dessert.
At no point was there drink refills. And an apology only offered when dessert mistake was mentioned. No discounts given no nothing. Requested manager who never arrived. Best part there was a total of 4 tables between lounge and dining room combined.
Food when it finally came was good. Not great and definetly not good enough to cancel out the horrible service.
Have gone to the buffet a number of times. Always good and not that expensive.
Came for Sunday brunch. Was expecting more I guess. No Omelete bar, pretty much everything was Luke warm. Waffles were not good at all, cold and hard. The waiter was great and the coffee was good. I unfortunately won’t run back.
Was a last minute choice and we were pleased with our choice! Service was excellent even though they were very busy and the food was very good!
Valentine’s dinner was a complete disappointment. The special meal was described as prawns with spinach and roasted peppers—the prawns came out on a bed of beets and onions. My wife dislikes both, so we traded and she had my over cooked steak instead.
The service was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this restaurant
We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Day dinner. We had a special guest from out of town and we did not want to spend precious visiting time preparing a Christmas dinner so eating out was the solution. It was beautiful and so relaxing as well as worry free. Food was creative and fabulous. Presentation was lovely. Service was excellent but not intrusive. The price was relatively inexpensive compared to other venues.Never disappointed at Creations.
Staff was provided excellent service and the food was very good.
The dessert bar was disappointing. Very few choices, not particularly inspiring.
The individual service given at the omelet bar was fabulous. The chef there went above and beyond to deal with me.
Very quiet night in this restaurant, waiter Rey was awesome. He was attentive and a great sense of humour. We enjoyed the buffet! Salads were very fresh, a creamy pumpkin soup warranted seconds, scalloped potatoes yummy..........the fresh made berry crumble was delicious as were the small cakes. Worth a visit. Buffet price for seniors $25.95 very reasonable for the 4 courses.
I have been coming here for years for special occasions. Have always previously enjoyed it. The service and ambiance hasn’t changed but the quality of food has. Nothing was fresh. Almost all the food was hard or dry (including desert). The lunch station has now been converted to crock pots and it was the saddest desert selection I have ever seen. I dont know if there were recent budget cuts but I will never come back here to eat again.
