Crazy Water continues to be a favorite haunt. Food is always fabulous, with thee menu changing on occasion. Great place for a tete-a-tete or a charming business meting place.
Great food and great service, as well as a nice birthday treat for my wife! Thank you!
Absolutely delicious! Very fun to witness the passion, dedication and intensity happening in the crazy little kitchen inferno by the bar too. We’ll be back!
The food and service were excellent. The only drawback was one obnoxiously loud person at another table. That was all we could hear.
The food was fabulous. I had salmon and it was done perfectly. My husband’s steak was also done the way he ordered it. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about ingredients in each dish. I had not been there in a while so forgot how noisy and crowded feeling the restaurant is. In spite of that, the food will bring us back again!
Crazy Water never disappoints. Every dinner I have had has been stellar. Crazy Water is a gem!
The food was great. It was wonderful to have so many choices of item menus that I like to choose from.
We nearly walked out after waiting for our glasses of wine for 30 minutes. I wish we would have so that would be the worst I could write. The Beef Wellington, which was the most expensive item on the menu, at $40 was the worst food I have ever tasted in a restaurant setting. It was way overcooked, the meat looked like it was cut up and squished back together, it looked like ground chuck pressed into a filet. I ordered it medium rare and it was nasty brown. It tasted like a frozen item reheated. It was not edible. The duck breast was awful as well. It was overcooked, and just slightly warm with inedible things on the plate as well. I could eat the carrots and that is all. The lamb shanks were good. The kitchen in the front area clearly doesn't allow for fresh small batch cooking. The menu should state which items are freshly cooked on site as ordered and which ones are rewarmed frozen items.
The noise level is way to high to even have a conversation with the person next to you. There are too many tables squeezed in the small restaurant. The waitresses had to squeeze between chairs and frequently bumped into chairs and patrons trying to have dinner. A sizzling hot pan was held within 1 inch of my partners head. It was quite distracting. The waitress ignored looking at us and appeared to delay coming to our table. Perhaps she has instructions for delaying to prevent clogging up the kitchen with too many orders too fast. Over all I would never recommend this restaurant.
Out favorite restaurant! Makes for a perfect date night.
Our friends suggested this resutrant for something new outside of Racine and Kenosha. What a surprise! It was wonderful. Staff were wonderful. Thank you!
Consistently the best flavors of any boutique fine dining restaurant in Milwaukee. The quirky way the chefs work around each other packed in the bar corner... ballet-like in the way the prepare each centre. Keeps bubbling up as one of our favorite places.
Great food and service!
Love the small space--great atmosphere. Full bar. Amazing entree choices. Delicious desserts. Phenomenal beet salad!
When you enter the restaurant, you notice the personality right away. A small place with the kitchen in front and a simple straightforward bar. Our reservation was almost right on time and the service was pretty good (had to ask for water refill). A nice selection of wines and some interesting cocktails started us off right. I had to ask about some of the menu items as they sounded terrific. I went with the grouper on spinach with a mustard sauce (on the side) in a hot skillet. This was cooked perfectly and the whole dish was excellent. Since it is a small place, we got to know our neighbors and the noise was what you expect for a crowded location. Overall, I would come back again (from Chicago) to eat here.
Great service, menu had a lot of appealing dinner choices - hard to decide what the enjoy-
Everything was wonderful! I had veal and it was perfectly prepared, as was the sauce. The service was great. Five stars all the way!
Everything was perfect. We love Crazy Water. The food is always amazing and the people could not be nicer!
Fabulous service and great food!
Dinner was great. Always wit to hear the specials, they are typically delicious. Friendly and professional staff. This place is a gem.
Our server Christi greeted us, and seated us in the bench seat next to the bar as requested. Our cocktails came quickly, and we were informed about specials. We both ordered beet salads. They were delicious. Plenty of beets, a good mix, fresh greens, and great soft whipped ricotta cheese. My husband ordered the veal while I had the halibut. He really enjoyed the veal. My fish was amazing! It was fresh tasting, so flavorful, perfectly prepared. There was a wonderful potato with Parmesan side as well. Dessert was a creative combination of all things chocolate. So, so good. This is one of our favorites places to dine. The servers and staff are friendly, informative. The food has never disappointed. We’ll be back soon.
Wow. Always a gem. Food was delicious. Staff and service always excellent. One of my favorite restaurants.
I have not been to crazy water for a while and now I remember why....The food and service are excellent. But as always the restaurant is small and makes relaxing difficult as you’re trying to avoid being bumped into by staff and guests alike or knocking knees with the person next to you or not being able to not hear the people next to you. But the food is so good I will go back, sooner rather than later.
Selected for spouse's 50th birthday upon recommendation. Seated party of 6 at table for 4 by sticking chairs on end of 4 person table!? Don't take reservations for 6 if you're going to cram them at a four top. Service was inept. Didn't bring one appetizer order and failed to bring second bottle of wine ordered - they lost $110 plus tips. Baked oysters were nothing special in ingredients and fell short in size and lacked any taste. Bone in pork chop was tasty but WAY too salty. Bringing pork good, but this was WAY too much. None of us thought anything more than mediocre food. At end, they wanted to rush us out so they had people taking table literally standing right over our table. Do not recommend.
The food was fantastic and it is a cute, quaint place. We loved watching the chef up front. Service was great and our waitress gave us wine recommendations and food recommendations -- all of which turned out to be true. Couldn't have been better.
The food was excellent, good service. Can't go wrong with Crazy Water, see you soon.
Wonderful food from a tiny kitchen that is open to the dining room. Service was very good. The only drawback is the ventilation system is a bit lacking and you come out smelling like the kitchen.
Always interesting food matchups. Who would guess pork belly compliments salmon? Service and the food was great. I am gluten free and there were several items on menu I could eat plus our server said the chef would make item on the menu gluten free if possible. One of our favorite places.
Maple leaf duck beast was excellent. Cozy, candle lit atmosphere was perfect for a chilly Saturday night. Buttermilk biscuit appetizer was also well done.
Recommend for an intimate date night if seated in the back section.
Amazing food... crazy good! However, seating was cramped. My chair must have been bumped 40 times during dinner. Be sure to request table which does not main path near bar.
Wonderful post Valentine's day dinner. Interesting fun dishes, packed house, great overall experience.
Consistently outstanding. Unique spin on food, loaded with flavor. Service is great and I appreciate all of the little things they do. I'd like to see them do away with the veal and foie gras (they are amazing), but otherwise a perfect blend on the menu.
Cozy spot with great ambiance. Simple menu with lots of variety. We had the Beef Wellington which was cooked to perfection. We also tried the cheesecake which was a nice change from the ordinary. Definitely would go back.
Food and service excellent. The only problem is the restaurant becomes cold every time the door is opened. Try to get a table towards the back.
We ordered the beef Wellington. It was superb! Our service was great also.
Outstanding food, service, and overall experience. Any time I dine at Crazy Water it is a delightful experience. It is amazing what comes out of that tiny, behind the bar kitchen - the chefs are outstanding!
What a hidden gem! The food was excellent and loved the personalized service.
Food was delicious and our server was great. Nice variety of selections on the menu.
Amazing food. Staff was great. Wonderful experience.
Food was really good, with one small exception. The soup had shrimp in it, and the tails were still in it.
