Cravings Restaurant + Lounge is located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The inside is warm and inviting, with tables spread out around the dining area. Cravings Restaurant + Lounge aims to create a relaxed and spacious atmosphere, which makes it feel more intimate.
The menu at Cravings Restaurant + Lounge is a healthy mix of North American cuisine along with more exotic flavors and dishes sprinkled throughout. For instance, the turkey apple grilled cheese is classic American, while the five-spice beef sandwich is full of Asian influences with its julienned carrot, cucumber, cilantro, green onion, wasabi yogurt and miso-soy glaze. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of the house lasagna, one of the most requested items on the menu.
The menu seems a bit smaller than I remember and it would have been nicer if the after 4 menu was available at lunch time. Otherwise it was great.
The staff here was super friendly: from the moment that I stepped in to the restaurant to the moment that I left, it was nothing but pleasant encounters. Aside from a little long wait for our food, everything was wonderful!
Overall, a very nice restaurant with very friendly service, as has been the case for years and a very welcome change from the overload of Asian restaurants in Marpole. The Valentine's menu was a bit limited and the portions have decreased in size, it seems, which is unfortunate, but the ingredients are always fresh.
We could not get the table we wanted. They had said that it was reserved for a party of 4, but then, a couple who knew the staff were seated there even though I had made that request on line early and reminded a person who called from there to confirm my reservation. Lots of talking and interaction in that area was distracting and noisy, in the end. Will probably not return for a special occasion like this, but it is a very good place to eat.
First visit in February 2016, party of 2. Delicious food, attentive service. Believe all those great reviews on Open Table! There aren't very many restaurants in Marpole, let alone good ones. So lucky to have Cravings in the neighbourhood!
Very reasonable fixed price menu
Frequented this restaurant for a number of years. Knew it when Angelo owned it. It is still excellent although I do miss his happy face! Food was excellent and our friends had not been there before and really enjoyed their meal. Excellent food and a very good value. Well priced and I am sure the same dishes somewhere else would be more expensive. Good location, easy to park and will go back again soon.
warm, friendly neighborhood restaurant with delicious food. There is an excellent chef in this kitchen. We enjoyed the back ribs and lamb entrees and will be back to try more menu items!
Found this place when I needed to make a reservation for dinner, relatively near the airport. You have a choice of the Dinning room or the Lounge; my experience was with the Dinning room. We had quick and friendly service. The Menu had lots of options and every dish was delicious. The food was filling enough that we couldn't finish our plates.
My family went to the Craving's restaurant a day after New Years for lunch(brunch). We arrived at around 12 and the restaurant wasn't too busy but it seems that there were only two waiters. They were rushing through things such as forgetting to write down the open table booking ID and took the wrong order(I ordered a meat lasagna but got a meat lover omelet instead). The restaurant is a little old so the isolation wasn't particularly good. We could feel the chill sitting next to the wall.
The food was satisfactory. Lots of jam and spread options but the toasted bread came cold.
We like the variety of the menu and they can get a group in and out for a business lunch within one hour. Prices are reasonable and you can always count on the food being fresh and tasty.
Service for food was slow , the restaurant was empty. The person serving was nice
I had a great meal there. The salad and the pasta were really amazing. The crème brûlée was very tasty but maybe the top was a bit too heard and served in the mug which is kind of unusual for your caliber of restaurant.
The server was nice but started to take the plates etc. away while there was someone who was still eating and I had to tell her to leave mine until my friend was finished. I wouldn't expect that to happen and your caliber of restaurant. My reading would've been higher if this hadn't have happened.
While the food was good, I told the server we had a flight to catch.
Waited for coffee, waited to order, didn't have the wine my guest selected.
I look for the whole package in the restaurant. Unfortunately my server didn't deliver, so I would be very reluctant to recommend your restaurant.
Presentation and flavours were excellent. Pre-fixe menu was tasty. The booth with 2 chairs was a little cramped and very close to the next party. We could hear every word. Service was attentive ( my knife was replaced without asking ) the food came out hot. The plates were warm.
I booked this restaurant for myself and 5 friends before watching a play at the Metro. We ALL found the food amazing, prices reasonable, and the service exceptional. Nothing bad to say at all. Go. You won't be disappointed! Thank-you!
Thoroughly enjoyed the pork two ways, as well as the smoked duck breast. Extensive wine bar with knowledgeable staff. Excellent wait staff, attentive but not intrusive.
We'll be back for sure.
Service was excellent, prices are $2-3 too much. Set menus are fine though. The spicy chicken soup used to be amazing and now is sub par.
Just ok. Over powered by garlic for all meals. Short rib was tough. Probably won't be back.
Excellent food, nice ambiance. Have been before will good back again.
The wait for our brunch order was a tad long but all things considered, the staff was pretty considerate and helpful. Dishes were on par with reasonable pricing and good variety of menu choices. I'd go again.
Really enjoyed our dinner ... soup ... dinner and desert ... delicious ... highly recommend a nice dinner out with your friends with great conversation ... and the service was the best... :0)
We enjoyed the beetroot and goat cheese salad, apple quinoa salad, maple-glazed salmon with bacon sauce, short ribs, and a shared caramel-espresso torte. Servings were generous, attractively presented and nicely served. Cravings is a neighbourhood gem, and well worth a trip to Marpole.
The food was good but not great and the decor is old, dark and dingy I'm sorry to say. The carpet wasn't clean.
Fabulous food for a reasonable price. Service was appropriate and the location is in a quiet neighbourhood.
There were three of us. We had a nice window seat. Our waitress was very attentive. The food was good. We had heard that sometimes the service was slow but this was definitely not the case with us. BonBon
We were looking for some place nice for dinner that would also accomodate the needs of my celiac daughter... we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent choices and flavourful meal... with no worries regarding my daughter's allergies... Wonderful evening!
We really enjoyed the good service and great food. The servers were very polite and nice.
Sunday brunch menu has the best crab cakes Benny in the world.
This location at the foot of Oak Street is a great dining location to meet friends from the city if you live outside to the south. The service and meal choices are superior and It is easy to converse with the pleasant background music.
Cravings is located in an out-of-the-way area but is worth seeking out. The beetroot salad and the kale & squash salad were both very good, though the latter could have used more than a few small cubes of squash. We also enjoyed the burgoo, the Sicilian gnocchi and a shared vegan brownie. A problem with the wine was quickly rectified, and the atmosphere and service were just fine.
Dropped by on a Friday evening for a casual dinner out. Food was tasty but not inspiring. Good sized portions and prices are definitely inexpensive. Cliental is mostly a retired crowd who I would guess live the neighbourhood. Service was really quite good - attentive, friendly, nice people and on top of things. The best ovrall description I could give Cravings is that it is like going home to Mom's for dinner.
Have been going to Cravings for years. Always good and reasonably priced. Went there for Brunch on Sunday and lunch on Monday. Friendly staff and nice ambiance. Food was well presented. Our only complaint was that the eggs benny could have been warmer.
Great restaurant to meet friends. Staff doesn't hurry you out the door. Will most certainly keep going to Cravings.
Been meaning to try this place out for a while now and finally did. Food was great, but I did feel the service and prep time was on the slower side, especially considering that it wasn't busy. I will come back though, as the location is great for me.
Had brunch here on a Sunday when their heater wasn't working, space was quite cold. We overheard the servers telling other tables why it was so cold but it was never mentioned to us. Coffee was decent and hot, breakfast potatoes were crispy and perfect but the Veggie Benny was bland, flavourless and cold. Prices and service are really good so may give them another go.
This restaurant is one worth keeping in mind. It is close for friends in the city or people like us farther out Hwy 99.
This hidden gem has been our "go to place" for many years. It has excellent food, great service, reasonable prices and good sized portions. Great for before or after the Metro Theater or the Opera(Van.) ,or just an evening out.Try it,you'll love it!
Cravings is tucked away on a side street but is easily accessible and convenient to the airport. While the decor is definitely dated, the food was OK. Our server was new, charming and honest. The menu prices were reasonable and the liquor selection was also OK.
Brunch here a few years back was nice for the cheery, warm atmosphere but the food was not great. Now the dark dining room feels like a night spot only. No flowers or color at brunch left only the food to shine despite the brilliant sun locked outside. Service was also cool but faultless. Food turned up in decent portions and tasted fresh. The menu is tailored to 'healthy' Vancouver standards.
Enjoyed the 3 course suggestion, smaller size was just the right amount.
We will be back, next time we go to The Metro.
My wife and I tried Cravings for our Valentine's day dinner.
It was a very nice dining experience. The staff are friendly, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable. We got the crab cakes for appetizer and I had the boneless ribs for entry. Both are amazing. We were full after appetizer and entry. We had to, regrettably, skip dessert.
I definitely recommend trying this restaurant.
