Outstanding service. Thank Goodness they didn’t offer bread because if it was as good as the meal I would have devoured it. I had the Short ribs with risotto and my partner had the Sea bass with homemade pasta. The Sea Bass was very good, with a nice crispy crust. The sauce that the pasta was sitting in was a little fishy but good. I was a little worried about the short ribs because they were cooked in root beer ( which I don’t like). Surprise it was amazing!! Falling off the bone, grass fed deliciousness. The risotto was a perfect compliment. I wanted to try their Creme brûlée but we were so full. Definitely next time we are saving room for desert.
The food is always excellent.
Not the same old appetizers .....fresh oysters ,fresh spinach , with a superb hollandaise .
Fine service ,wine list very unique, friendly .
Portions are just right. Food is high quality and consistent.
The chorizo stuffed bacon wrapped dates were amazing!! Sweet, salty and spice...a must have!! Cozy place with good ambiance. Also the giant smore for dessert is just ridiculous huge and the homemade marshmallow and fudge was to die for. I could have skipped entree and just did those 2. There is never room for it all.
The service was excellent! Food choices were very unique, delicious and fresh. Looking forward to our next meal!
CraVing is always a delight to go to. The food is local, creative and delicious. A fun place for friends to meet of a date night
Amazing service, they immediately won us over. Can't wait to return!
We were here for brunch previously and it was great, quiet, good food, good service. Most recently, not so great, annoyingly loud, service was not great, no bread served before brunch as in the past. Food was not great. Waitress was too busy to attend to us.
Great food, interesting menu, quaint, great coffee and dessert as well. Look forward to going back!
My sister's and I planned a post christmas luncheon. After some discussion I suggested Crave ing and made the reservation. One of my sisters ordered a cup of soup and the blt sandwich , my other sister and I ordered the Beet salad wit an addition of grilled chicken breast. Sister 1 found the soup to be tasty but said the bacon on the blt was candied and too sweet. The beet salad was tasteless, the beets were raw, the chicken looked and tasted synthetic and inedible. I was so disappointed and embarrassed since it was my suggestion. Despite the flowery discriptions of their menu items we all found the food to be sub par and expensive. Our server however was gracious and apologetic and removed our meals from the bill. We have crossed this place off our list of great places to dine in Buffalo. Live and learn!
Amazing dinner last night, a warm oasis on a cold winters night. Full flavor, beautifully plated dishes one after another filled our table. Friendly, efficient, bartenders & waitstaff along with our dinner company made for a most enjoyable evening. We’ll be back soon to check out your locally sourced, ever changing delicious menu
Have been several times and this time was dissapointing. Pasta was undercooked.
The waiter was pleasant but the restaurant was understaffed. The food took a very long time to come out of the kitchen. The manager offered to buy a round of drinks and was apologetic.
Went to Craving on a Tuesday night, it was very quiet. Ordered chorizo stuffed dates, calf liver and carpaccio, as appetizers. All were presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. Ricotta gnocchi, handkerchief pasta and a veal T-Bone were done to perfection. Everybody enjoyed their meals.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, took my family and they loved everything about it. We can't wait to go back.
Food was mixed. I ordered eggs benedict that were delicious. Eggs perfectly poached. Delicious peameal bacon and tender hashbrowns. Two of our party ordered french toast. ONe plain, one caramel apple. hugely disappointing. the 'brioche' was dry and stale, and the eggs had not soaked into the break so they formed kind of an omelette coating on the outside. Coffee was fresh and the waitress kindly brought us a basket of house-baked foccaccia that was a treat.
Last minute decision for dinner before heading to the North Park. Wonderful!! Fantastic food from local farms. Cocktails also excellent. Stellar service....We will definitely be back!
Both my husband and I ordered the homemade pasta. He had the gnocchi, and I had the handkerchief pesto pasta. My pesto pasta was delicious with a strong garlic flavor, which I love. My husband felt that his gnocchi was a bit bland. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our salads, which were quit large and delicious! There was not music playing, which was a bit odd, but we overall enjoyed our experience.
We ran a little late and out part of our party ran very late - but they were very accommodating. They were also ready for the wheelchair we had informed them of which we greatly appreciate and the chef adjusted things for dietary needs - fantastic!
The food was excellent and the service superb. This was my first visit—-it won’t be my last
One of the hidden gems of Buffalo
it was restaurant week and had never been here, although recommended by friends and I live in the area. Caesar salad was outstanding, and short rib was tender and tasty.
Very creative menu! Love the ambiance, quaint & cozy. The waitstaff really works as a team, it very noticeable. 7 of us for dinner and EVERYONE loved their meal.
My $42 steak was terrible. It was full of fat and gristle and impossible to chew. Moreover I was led to believe that this was part of the restaurant week special by our waitress, so I was willing to let a tough piece of meat go. However when I was presented with a $42 price for the steak I was very disappointed. Also, the wine, while good, was woefully stingy. It’s seven dollars a pop, definitely not worth it here in north Buffalo.
Our waitress, was dismissive of our comments and we will not be returning Or recommending. A bright spot, was the bone marrow. Very different and delicious
Quite lovely. Mindful of our time constraints as we were seeing a movie. Excellent meal. We will return for sure!
the short ribs are terrific . great menu for restaurant week
Job well done for Restaurant Week. Creative menu and high quality food.
Wonderful Restaurant Week experience! Food was awesome - asparagus mushroom salad is one of the best dishes ever. Caesar salad and shortribs were also excellent as was the merlot (1/2 price on Monday when we went). Service was exceptionally good - responsive, knowledgeable and friendly but not intrusive. Highly recommend even when you don't get the value of Restaurant week. And it's right next to North Park theatre where we headed after our early dinner.
We were pleasantly surprised by the overall dining experience. We enjoyed the wonderful crafted cocktails, entrees, and the dessert. Our server was very attentive. We'll be back!
I loved this place! Had the small plates only which was plenty of food. The salads were large, fresh and deliciously dressed. The polenta croutons were delicious. The table favorite was the bacon wrapped dates. All food was of good quality though
The selection was interesting and creative, the service quite good, and the preparation/presentation was outstanding. The price was also very reasonable -- especially given the quality. This was my first time at CRaVing, but will most certainly not be my last. It was a delightful and pleasant surprise.
We had a lively birthday dinner Our server encouraged us to enjoy the locally sourced ingredients on the menu. The date with bacon appetizer was delicious and full of flavor. The fresh veggies made the Farmer's Market salad a great choice The gnocchi and handkerchief pasta dishes were the perfect size. Nice to the option of half portions. The s'mores dessert was fun to split.
We booked this place last minute and it was a good decision. We may have been the last couple seated, but our waitress never rushed us. Had some yummy drinks. For dinner we had the Cannelloni and Short Rib, both excellent dishes.
Our meal was outstanding and the service was superb for a Saturday night. We enjoyed the variations that we presented to us. The veal was outstanding and the amount of chicken for the price could have been a little more generous. Staff were very attentive. Overall a wonderful experience.
Excellent food and service, will do dinner again this week!
Phenomenal brunch, ok/good dinner
We met another couple for brunch on Sunday for brunch on the patio. What an amazing time from start to finish! We started with cocktails from their incredible brunch cocktail list, then enjoyed a basket of their wonderful homemade breads. Our meals were excellent after that. Inventive and creative twists on the normal brunch fare. Wonderfully executed and deliciously prepared. I honestly think this restaurant is an undiscovered gem of north Buffalo! One of my favorites that I will continue to frequent as much as I can!
Good food, slow service. Wanted to have dessert, but ran out of time.
I love this place. I have been many times and everyone I introduce Crāv to falls in love too. It is my go-to place location wise when a bunch of people are coming from every direction. DO NOT TRUST OPENTABLE's BOOKING! If I would have gone by the blocks of unaavailability I wouldn't have gone. I called and was told not only did I not need reservations for lunch, when I got there the restaurant had plenty of tables.
