The quality of the rib eye I had was marginal at best.
Birthday dinner for my wife. Noted the occasion and the request in our reservation. We hoped for a quiet, romantic dinner to connect. We did not have that experience.
Arrived for our reservation and were brought to a table in the middle of three large parties. Conversating was hard because of all the noise of the three large celebratory parties next to us.
Our waiter spent all of a few seconds at our table and made no effort to even ask us what brought us in that night.
When the food arrived, it was cold. Our waiter was nowhere in sight. We switched plates to try and make the best of it but neither were appetizing considering the temperature.
We forewent dessert, though it was the primary reason we planned for Crave.
The only reason I provided a high star rating on the ambience of the location was because it was the only thing about our visit to Crave that held up to our expectations. I am disappointed with the experience overall; it was not special. I wish we would've gone anywhere else (there are no shortages of restaurants in Woodbury, MN).
We had a great meal with very good service at Crave in Woodbury - good energy in the restaurant was well.
Made reservations, checked in, told we could be seated right away then she forgot us. Had to remind her we were here after 10 min. Ended up in the bar, not the dinning room. Atten. to guests is spotty and the noise level was way too loud; hard to talk. Will think again before going back.
Wonderful meal with quality service by Ben.
There were six of us and five meals were good and one was average. Our server was very good. Seating was comfortable, lighting and noise was good.
We waited 45 minutes to get our drinks, and then only after one of our party tracked down a server. To her credit, the manager comped our drinks and gave us a $50 gift card.
I surprised my boyfriend with dinner at our favorite restaurant and proposed to him! The staff was so congratulatory and even gave us free glass of champagne and a free dessert. That along with impeccable service and amazing food it made for the greatest night of our lives! Thank you SO much!
Overall service was amazing! Food was just as amazing!
Our waiter, Storm could not have been any better. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was very engaging as well and made our overall experience fantastic! Thanks to Storm! Aside from the service, our food was spot on! Seasoned and prepared/cooked to perfection.
It was good but the extra up charge that they added to the bill is enough to make me not want to go back
Just expensive weird food. Do not get the tabouli. It was a creamy dressing on spinach with cous cous sprinkled on top. It should be illegal to call that tabouli.
We got a free dessert since our waiter screwed up and that was lucky since it cost 14$ for a bowl of ice cream with a scattering of toppings and a cone stuck on top. Rip off. My son ordered the paella and it was white rice with seafood on top. Again, that should be illegal to call that paella.
My husband's steak special was good and my lamb burger was good. Next time I will stick to burger and fries and sushi.
Did I mention expensive drinks. Liked the atmosphere but not the customers. The wait staff were the best dressed people in the restaurant.
We requested a quiet table for our group of 6. We were delighted and surprised to be seated at a table that had curtains separating the table from the rest of the restaurant. It was delightful.
The food was really good except I would have preferred to have the Brie cheese melted on the chicken.
We had a large group with a tight timeline and the staff did an amazing job of getting orders in and food out with great service.
Overall the food was very good and they paid serious attention to our groups various allergies. The only negative was that we ordered an appetizer that never came. No one checked to see if it was there or why it was late. The half-off wine bottles on Mondays is a good deal. Wine list is over generalized and can be confusing if you don't know exactly what you like.
The food at Crave is always amazing! I tried a lunch special and it was great! Had my favorite drink offered at Crave & loved it as usual!
The atmosphere was fun. I had a good time out, but the food quality was poor. For the price of the food it does not match with quality. I would recommend going there for a drink, but not for the food.
We visited on a Friday night and the restaurant was very busy, so we were glad we had made reservations. The noise level when the place is full is louder than we would like, but okay when it thins out a little. We did have a problem with one of our entrees, when the kitchen forgot to include the vegetables with the shrimp & scallop saute (they were very busy). We brought it to the server's attention and the manager came over and resolved the issue promptly to our satisfaction. All the food we ordered was delicious, but the chocolate torte we had for dessert was so good that we wished we had ordered one for each of us instead of sharing.
Excellent food overall. One of the plates had asparagus which was considerably oversize, as in perhaps 3/4" in diameter. The result is "woodiness," and believe me I know, because I used to pick asparagus commercially. Overall, however, each dish--including on on the gluten free menu--was splendid. Very good service.
The portions are very large and the chicken avocado egg rolls are delicious. Lots of choices on the menu.
Very good, probably the best place within the 10 mile area.
Our group of 8 enjoyed our meals, but the noise level steadily increased over the time we were there. We were disappointed that Happy Hour was restricted to the bar area as we would certainly have taken advantage of this if offered in the dining room. A group of older patrons is unlikely to comfortably sit at the bar.
Even though we had a reservation we had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table and then got seated in the bar. Was told dining room was full. Noise was so loud couldn’t talk at table. Food order was wrong. Bill was wrong. Not a good experience. Too busy and no attention to details. Find someplace else to eat on a weekend. Feels like a chain now
I asked for a table of 10 in a quiet spot and that’s what we got! Thanks so much! We all had a happy time together and really appreciated the thoughtful waiter we had, and the hostess who took our photos.
Too noisy otherwise good place
My choice of entree not to my liking but preparation was very good.
Staff was friendly and great ambiance for a group gathering.
Visited for my sons 16th birthday dinner; his first choice. Parmesan Fries are is favorite. Dinner was great and it was topped off with cake and “sparkler” candle.
Server was attentive and pleasant.
My sisters & l had lunch. Since our last visit to Crave, the menu has been revised. Love, love, love the revisions. The wait staff was excellent.
It was a quiet night and we enjoyed a great meal starting with the Chicken and Avocado Egg Rolls. They are large so we each ate 1 and took one home. (It reheated well).
We both ordered the Steak Frites and subbed mash potatoes for the fries. It was very good, steak was cooked perfect and very tasty.
As we were eating our dinner, the hostess sat a table of 11 people (6 kids) right next to us. If the restaurant had been busy I wouldn't have thought anything about it, but the whole center of the restaurant was empty and this group could easily been moved over 1 row and they were celebrating 2 birthdays and were pretty loud. I talked to the manager and shared my thoughts on the situation. She agreed with me and was going to use it as a teaching moment for a new hostess. She asked if we wanted to move and we said no as we were going to have dessert then leave. She offered to buy our dessert which was very nice. We each ordered the Mini French Silk which was very good.
We'll be back.
Service was a little sketchy. Waiter wasn’t really around.. the place wasn’t busy at all .
The service was ridiculously slow, right off the bat just getting our first contact with the server took forever. Crave is usually good about getting bread and fruit out right away for kids, those were nowhere to be seen. After we were done eating, another wait for the check. Crave has a special place in my heart for personal reasons, but strictly based on today's trip, I would not return.
Service was like you would expect at “Perkins”, not a $40/plate restaurant. Taking plates away without asking and continually interrupting our group is completely unacceptable.
Normally excellent french fries were luke warm as was the asparagus, like it sat under the warmer too long.
The strawberry ice tea was really awful, like it was made with unripe berries. Even Applebees can make it better.
I brought a friend to introduce her to the restaurant and was embarrassed.
Unlikely I will return.
Perfect place to meet up with a friend. Ambience is great food is even better
They booked too many parties at once so it took me 1 hour to get my appetizer and the waiter even admitted he has forgotten to put it in. Yes the manager did comp the little food we actually got but it was the worst experience at Crave I have ever had. It was embarrassing to my party guests.
Excellent service and food. Prices good. Did have trouble finding it and where to park. Next time I will know where exactly to go. Mostly due to road construction.
Ordered GF yet received pasta cooked in gluten cross contaminated water
