Great sushi boat; however calamari was cold dry and crumbled. Fish tacos and flatbread excellent,
Honestly, we were terribly disappointed. Host treated us like we weren't good enough to be there. Our waiter didn't approve of our order and shook his head when we presented a coupon from another shopping experience from within the mall. The food was mediocre and it didn't live up to the hype. We were expecting upscale and got subpar.
My husband and I both had salmon because of lent. It was very good. The noise level is high, but we still had a good time.
Food and service were excellent!
Solid, but not amazing. Expected more for the money. Had to ask for gratis bread. Filet mignon was a touch over-seasoned for my taste, and flavor was average. Wife's walleye was very saltily seasoned, but light and flaky — skillfully baked. Desserts: Brownie underwhelming. Peach bread pudding: Eyes-roll-back-in-head delicious. Ambience: Proper softly lit mood lighting, but we were seated near servers station, so was a little hectic.
The margaritas were amazing. Our server was very nice and fun. The food on the menu sounded great but tasted just okay. I will go back, though.
I ordered Cajun Chicken Pasta. The chicken had a leather texture pasta was overdone. You could tell the ingredients were not fresh. I should to recommend the MOA location. I've been to other locations that were better.
A bit too loud & busy at a 3:45 seating! However, food was good. We were a party of eight, and ordered quite a bit and where we were seated the table did not have enough room for our food so it was kind of uncomfortable and not very pleasing... it had to be crammed together on the table. Our appetizers were too close to the main course and took longer than they should have. Table staff was attentive as they could be Being it was busy, our server was very nice, she knew the menu, and made appropriate recommendations. Runners needed some pinache’. Main server always had a smile on her face even in the midst of a crazy day it seemed. We would request her if we came again. Ordered three orders of the lemon wings as part of our appetizer selection and they were not very warm when they were brought to the table but it was too busy to do anything about. Poke tuna bowl fine but uneventful, needed “something”.
Restrooms needed some attention and hard to get to without walking in the way of staff & diners.
Overall however we would return.
The food was great, but the noise was less than desirable. We had wanted a quiet dinner. We had chosen your restaurant online because of the reviews about the food. We are from Montana and had no idea of its at atmosphere.
We always enjoy crave for large parties. The staff was very accommodating and the service was spot on. Food was delicious as always and drinks were top notch.
Very friendly and helpful. Let me change an entree, although it came out wrong and had to be redone. Manager was by our table may times filling drinks and checking in.
Wait staff was great and food was very good. I would go back and recommend.
I simply adore the personable attention that the managers give. There is a wonderful aspect when a manager is not "above" the concept of getting the table a drink, escorting you to the restrooms or anything else one may need.
Classic professionalism at its finest!
My wife and I had dinner at Crave for dinner. We went to the restaurant that is located at the Mall of America. We ordered sushi (Fantastic), a couple of cocktails (Wonderful), I had the glazed salmon for diner (It was good), but my wife had the shrimp and scallop pasta (It was fantastic). Our waiter even provided a free birthday dessert. We were seated close to the main walkway for the mall so it was a little loud and distracting. The restaurant was very nice and clean with a relaxing atmosphere. The prices were a little high but the food was very good and the drinks were wonderful. A great place to go for a date.
My husband and I went to Crave to celebrate my birthday. We made a reservation and upon arrival they were able to seat us even earlier which was great. There was a fantastic drinks list, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We ordered sushi rolls for appetizers and they were outstanding. Our entrees followed and were equally fresh and delicious. Everything came to the table super quickly and the server was so kind and helpful. It made my birthday celebration amazing!
Crave is my fave! Eat at Crave whenever I can! Brought the husband this time. Meat and potatoes farmer dude! I encouraged him to try the sushi. Even though he used his knife and fork, he really liked it!
The waiter looked at our nachos and walked away from them TWO times and had to have someone call him over to the nachos to take them. (Our table was right by the food, had I know they were ours the whole time, I would have just gotten up and got it ourselves.) so the food was on the colder side by the time we got it.
The lights above the food had dust hanging down, mere inches above the food. Was disgusting. Those warming lights should be cleaned frequently.
Food was decent. Service had its moments. Was busy. They did have a table ready for us, which was nice. Not our favorite Crave place or best experience.
Good drinks, better food and great company. Good for a date
We visit Crave often and always enjoy the diverse offering and fresh ingredients. It is one of our favorite and highly recommend.
Great service! Food was ok- kind of bland
I had the chicken, apple Brie sandwich- it was delicious. My daughter got the Bento box. It is a perfect variety of food for lunch.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. My wife and I go there every year for Valentine's Day. The drinks are a little on the expensive side but the food is fantastic. I love sushi but my wife does not so this is a great option for us.
Our waiter was extremely attentive and knowledgeable— I wish I remembered his name because he did go above and beyond for us. I was there with my boyfriend and his two kids and we all found something wonderful to eat (not an easy feat!). I also enjoyed a spectacular grown up lemonade. I’m Hard or Hearing (HoH) and did find it to be a little loud for me— but that is to be expected at MOA. Other HoH folks might want to ask to be seated further from the general mall noise. I’m sure they would accommodate— great experience overall.
Had a great experience at Crave MOA Sat Evening. Prefer the Bar Booth seating - did a Girls Night Out. Ordered a handful of apps, w/their Lettuce Wraps being my favorite. Gotta say, all the apps were really good. Our cocktails were wondetful. Our server was Jackie - and she is the BEST!!!
New Zealand green lip mussels where dry over cooked so was our burgers!
Love crave so so yummy!! Our experience was great!
We were at the Mall of America location. Our server Dean was outstanding. He made the dining experience just that, an experience. He was funny, knowledge, hospitable and attentive.
Overpriced for what you get.
We told the people at the front desk we had reservations with OpenTable and got stuck at table right next to the kitchen. we asked to be moved they said we could only sit at the sushi bar. we decide to leave and go wait outside till a booth was open....then they immediately took us to a booth which is what we wanted. everything was good and had a great server after that
We got the Valentines day special - 3 courses. The mashed potatoes tasted like potato flakes mixed with water and nothing else, really really bad. The steak was cooked properly, but they added wasabi which kind of ruined it. The scallops appetizer were really good and tender and the cherry glaze was amazing with it, but I had stomach pains later that night. The sea bass taste like cod but it was stuffed with crab and some mayonaise based sauce which was okay, but helped it become better than a simple cod meal. The desserts were also disappointing, they custard's crust was completely inedible, it was like cardboard and no real flavor. We had to eat around it.
The only thing i would complain about was that there was no indication on the Crave website saying that there will be no happy hour on valentines day. Nor was there any indication that the menu will also be different. Other then that, food was delicious.
Amazing staff, food and ambience! Would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a date or simple lunch there!
Did not get the high top but was still satisfied the food was good and I would go again on a special occasion
We had the Valentine special dinner for two:
King Kong roll (sushi) - Delicious
Pre-dinner snack - OK
Scallop appetizer - Delicious
Crab stuffed Chillean Sea Bass - Crab stuff was tasty but near cold. Sea Bass was hot and good.
Service - Outstanding. Waitress was attentive but not over-bearing.
The food and service at Crave are always fantastic. In this case, we were there for Valentine's Day. My wife ordered stuffed sea bass and she wasn't really pleased with the crab stuffing. She didn't think the flavor went well with the fish. They brought her another piece of fish right away and were very nice about it. We love eating there.
The food was good as usual. However the menu has shortened and the prices went up which was disappointing. Would probably come back. Just less often due to prices and lack of favorites.
Food was delicious! Our server was super friendly and made the best recommendations. Will definitely come back here for dinner soon.
Accomodated our concerns with food allergies, responded well to our inquiry about beverages, friendly people.
My husband’s birthday dinner was at Crave this year. We had a great time and had a great service . We spent quite a bit of money and had to ask if my husband could get a dessert with a candle to celebrate his day. I was a little shocked we had to ask for it. Also it seems as though the prices were higher than I last remembered . Not sure I would have a large party there again for how expensive it was .
