Fabulous server, but really hot in restaurant
The overbearing anf indistinguishable noise that was supposed to pass for music prohibited me from talking to someone right across the table from me and the waiter had to yell.
That level of interference is offencive I just about any level I don't know why restaurants assume that it is exciting or invigorating or in any way other than annoying..
The food was as good as some other restaurants but even with the location I will not go back there because when I have dinner with friends I like to be able to talk to them and it was impossible!!
It was a great experience from the moment we entered! We were on a time schedule and they were very positive, accommodating and understanding. The food was fresh and flavorful, our waitstaff brought the check when requested and cashed us out promptly knowing we had an appointment. Overall a great experience.
There were two of us for lunch with a nice window booth. I always think Crave is about 10% too expensive, but the food was good and the service was excellent. You get what you pay for. I also thought the room was very well managed.
Crave is a great spot for both business and family meals. Most recent was an after-theatre family dinner. The wait-staff is very friendly, professional, and attentive. The food is very good and the prices reasonable. Highly recommend any of the Crave locations.
Went to dinner after afternoon show at the Orpheum. They had an event menu, so not a full menu, but refined in order to serve diners in a timely manner.
Crave is expensive. $30 entree should be fantastic, not meh. I only go there because of the proximity to the theaters.
We split the steak medallions and they were wonderful! I've never had steak that tasted that good from a restaurant.
We had a great waiter and the food was great. Loved the bread pudding for desert and the happy hour specials were good. Loaded nachos was almost a meal in itself. We will definitely come here again. Great pre-show place to eat.
We made a reservation for 6:30 but after Checking in, we waited for 25 minutes before we were finally seated. Our waiter suggested a drink then didn’t bring it until halfway through eating our food. I had a flatbread and it was overdone and my sangria was so strong I could barely drink it. Not the best experience at crave.
Food was good, I had beet salad and it was a big portion though not crazy about the pickled beets - nice roasted beets would’ve been better. We were sat in the back, very close to server station so very busy. We were there for pre-theater dinner and were served fairly promptly considering how busy Crave was.
Always a great place for food and drinks great service and time spent with friends
Host gave away our table to someone else
Always a pleasure to eat the food at Crave in Downtown Minneapolis. A great place to grab a great meal before a show downtown. Pacing is always well-done, food is always hot, and the service is always great! Can't wait to return.
Service was great. Only situation was they had a limited menu in place due to an event in the area. However this was never mentioned when the reservation was made. Great location, food and service. Will be back....
Went to Crave before the theater. Good food and good service. It's a great place to eat before seeing a show.
Made a reservation, but they didn't even seat us in the dining room. We were seated on an alleyway to the restroom. (RUDE!)
It took almost 30 minutes just to get a beverage.
There was a theatrical event across the street so we had a limited menu - my favorite item was "not allowed" to be made that night. A Poke Bowl. No cooking even. I asked them to do it... they wouldn't.
It took forever to get our food.
FOREVER to get our check.
Overall... TERRIBLE experience.
Service was great. Our waitress was attentive and informed. We would return again.
The food was delicious, nice variety. I also appreciate the wine selections. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. We shared a few small plates which was a great way to get a sampling of their food. I'd go again!
A good place for pre-theater sushi in a convenient location! The peach bread pudding was excellent!Service was with a smile though a bit slow. Casual yet nice enough for a date....maybe not the first date :).
Great food, drinks, and service. Our server made the night extra special and was extremely accommodating. Will definitely keep this place at the top of our list the next time we're in downtown.
The brunch layout was attractive and efficient for the high volume but the prepared dishes were less than what I would expect from Crave. Rather bland and generic like a hotel comp breakfast.
Quality of the food and service was excellent. Staff is very friendly and conscientious of the service they provide to customers. I would highly recommend Crave for any special occasion or a great place to take your special someone out to dine for a fabulous experience.
Great Easter brunch...service was fantastic...
Fabulous Easter brunch! Delicious and tons of variety. The place looked beautiful and was warm and welcoming. It was exactly what we were hoping for.
Easter brunch was amazing! The selection of the buffet was phenomenal, not to mention the sushi and dessert bar to die for!
Our favorite pre theater restaurant. Food is well prepared and they are fast so you can get to the show on time!
Amazing place! Went here fora Bachelor Party and the waitress was very helpful and patient with all of us!
The steak was AMAZING! I ordered the ribeye and that was super tender (14oz) and delicious. The filet was even more tender ( took a bite out of my friend's).
We had a wrong order go through but they were quick to address it and the manager personally delivered it. Accidents happen, especially with a bigger group (9 guys), so it was understandable.
Would definitely go back!
Love CRAVE any time I’m going to a show this is wine of my top choices. They always ask if we are on a schedule and accommodate to make sure you have a great experience!
Excellent food and pre theatre dinner place. Chilean sea bass is a favorite!!
Absolutely horrible! Rude staff, cold food that had no taste. The menu we looked at on line prior to going there was nothing like the menu that was given to us. Very disappointed to say the least. On top of cold food with zero taste we were not comped anything for the meal we couldn’t even eat. We left and went somewhere else close by and enjoyed a great meal.
The Food was great! Really helpful and friendly service!
The food was delicious and just the right portions to share a salad and flatbread between my friend and me. Our server was amiable and attentive and made sure we were out in time to get to our show.
We hit up Crave before our show at the State Theatre. No happy hour deals on a Friday; OK. I wanted to enjoy our dinner and not be rushed so our reservations were a bit earlier than our usual at 5:45. The restaurant was only 1/3 occupied but by the time we left at 7, it was full and 3 deep at the bar.
We opted for sushi. The sushi was good. And the truffle Parmesan fries. Those are delicious! The tap beer list was pretty short- only 6 or so. I guess I’m expecting more tap beers these days so that was a bit disappointing. But there was a cider on tap which is very nice.
I like Crave when it’s filled with people having a good time and during this visit, maybe my tenth, it was nearly empty with not much energy.
The sushi was good if overpriced, but the boat presentation was gorgeous and rarely disappoints.
Good service but a bit too chatty.
Non-sushi items were mediocre to poor... stick with the sushis.
I arranged a dinner at CRAVE for a friend who was visiting from out of town on her birthday. CRAVE made her feel special, our server Michael was *fantastic* and fun, the food was delicious, and it was a wonderful celebration. One of the people in our party was gluten free and she was not only impressed with the GF menu, she was blown away by the taste and texture of the GF noodles in her dish.
Ordered a simple bacon cheeseburger, medium well. Received a burger without bacon done medium rare. If the restaurant can't get the easiest of orders correct I wouldn't trust it with any other food.
Great food, ambiance.
Service was terrible, not sure if it was our servers first night or what but he was NOT attentive at all, took forever to take our order, we had to keep asking for more drinks each round. food runner dropped my meal so we had to wait for a total remake without any discount being taken off my bill - everyone else in party was done eating when I got my meal. Manager was very nice and apologetic about it - server had no clue. Didn't take ask if we wanted check split, just gave it all on one, so we needed to tell him to fix. It was just a bad service experience, good tasting food though.
We were tight on time and service was very quick
