Great location, comfortable seating, always professional service. This is a go to place for committee meetings, and we've always had a nice time.
We were having dinner before a show. The waitress was very efficient and attentive to that. The food was great. Nice ambiance. We were late on our reservation and they were still very accommodating for us.
My friend ordered a gluten free pasta meal and it was cold when she got it, she didn’t want to send it back because we had tickets to the theater. She didn’t think we had time. Very disappointed.
We had reservations and were seated promptly. Our waiter at first was a little confused and not really listening to our order of wine and drinks but he did "get it together". I had a chicken parmesan pasta dish that was just okay, very dry but eatable. My husband's blackened walleye was much better. Obviously, this location doesn't have the same menu or quality of food and service. Too bad, since it's so close to the Orpheum.
They were very busy, the food was good, but my fish tacos had cooled a bit much by the time I got them. The server had a great personality and added to the experience.
Great spot for dinner before the theatre in downtown Minneapolis. The menu has something for everyone.
We we served quickly, the servers were attentive and helpful, and we enjoyed the food. Great experience!
First time I’ve been disappointed with my experience at Crave. The Artichoke Dip was oily and tasted fishy. My steak was not seasoned well at all and the cut of meat was very poor. Our service was okay but slow.
Crave is one of my son’s favorite restaurants in MSP and he wanted to eat there for his birthday. We had a great time! The food and service was wonderful!
Chilean Sea Bass was excellent
Over priced drinks that weren’t even good pours. Had to send a steak back that wasn’t cooked properly they also add an extra $9 for a employee service charge
Our server was awesome and the food was amazing.
Had a group of nine and all enjoyed their dinners very much. Many had the cajun walleye and all thought it was excellent. Service was good and friendly.
Very nice evening. Always good service and food.
When we first arrived it seemed as though my reservation hadn’t gone through. The evening was a celebration of my daughter and my birthday prior to a Céline Dion concert which was noted in the reservation. There at no time was recognition of this celebration. My husband called to pay for our meal over the phone and this was not accomplished. How would this be any different than paying for a takeout meal? None the less, our meal was fantastic. Our waiter attentive early but was distracted once he began serving a large table of guests adjacent to us.
Customer service was awesome. From the front staff to the wait staff.
Great lamb burger and excellent sushi. Also squash soup!
Very mediocre food. Stir fry vegtibles overcooked and too much suace. The coconut cake was dry and for the price that is not acceptable. Nice environment, good service but there are way better options in downtown Minneapolis.
Menu has lots of options from Asian to American, so we really liked the selection. The amount of food for the price was good. Waitress and bartender were very friendly and attentive. I would recommend NOT sitting on the atrium leading to only bathroom. It was very disruptive to our dining experience.
We were delighted to find this lovely restaurant located right next to the State Theater, where we were attending The Russian Ballet. Molly, our server, was excellent -- very engaging, happy with her job! Our food choices were delightful, delicious and filling.
We will choose CRAVE again!
Lots of choices for lunch. Food is good and nicely presented. Pace of service was appropriate.
Poke bowls the best in MN please keep on menu!
Went here for dinner. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. The waitress gave suggestions which I found to be helpful since I mostly do vegetarian options. Everything tasted really good!
Great service and food. Did not care for the high top table, it was to high to be comfortable. Also the temperature was to cool inside considering it is now fall. Felt like air conditioning was running on high.
We had a win server, John, and he did an excellent job of keeping our drinks full while not hovering. I had the signature nachos and my date had the vegan nachos with vegan chicken. She said it was very good. Very enjoyable evening.
Stopped for dinner prior to a show at the Orpheum. Ron was our waiter and was very professional and engaging. We were delighted with his recommendations. The food was excellent. The worked to our schedule for getting to the performance on-time.
When we explained there was a diabetic need for food immediately the server (who adopted our table when the original one assigned was busy) went the extra mile to accommodate us. Then, the manager also checked in to apologize and promise they would take care of us going forward. We explained our new server had been wonderful. Still, it was very professional. We complimented and tipped over 30% as they deserved.
Looked forward to dinner at Crave with my 21-year-old son before we saw a play. This was an early birthday present for him and he’s always loved Crave. I’m sad to say Crave has gone downhill and we were very disappointed. The ambiance was not great, as we were seated at a high top table crammed between two other high top tables mere inches from our neighbors. He ordered the jerk chicken which had little flavor and he had to request extra limes to add some zing. I ordered the sirloin, which was tough. Our waiter seemingly forgot about us as our water glasses were empty when the server brought our plates and remained empty. We had high hopes for our big night out and we both left with the same thought- “we won’t be coming back to Crave anytime soon.”
We are regular CRAVE dinners, and thoroughly enjoy the food. Sometimes, they miss the mark on service. This time in particular. We waited over 35 min for a drink order (even though a bottle of wine was served during that window). It seemed apparent that the order wasn't placed. Thank you to the manager for stepping up. We appreciated that. We'll continue to dine at CRAVE. Hopeful this latest experience doesn't become the norm.
We came here for the first time before a show at the Orpheum. We were seated after a short wait but it was just too busy and way too loud. Our food was good but the kitchen was backed up and it took a long time to get our entrees. Our server was apologetic but really they need to book less people so this doesn’t happen. Honestly due to the noise and the wait, I think we will just pick somewhere else next time.
My experience at Crave was much improved over the last time I visited. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was good. I still don't really understand why they have an "event" menu – when is there *not* an event on Hennepin? It would make more sense to just make that the regular menu so you aren't disappointed when something you saw online isn't available. But overall, a good experience.
The restaurant was packed with theater goers. High praise to the servers and the kitchen for serving that many people so quickly and getting everyone out of there in time for the show at The Orpheum. Our meals were delicious, the wine and cocktails were great and our server was wonderful.
Service was terrible.
Great pre-theater restaurant and bar. Excellent service and big menu, something for everyone
Checking in was very rude as we were 15 minutes early. Was told to come back when time that was set- could of just asked us to wait
Poorly run establishment. General manager and hostess have zero critical thinking capabilities. Keep changing their menu for the worst, lower quality all open additional restaurants. Not good
Food was delicious, staff was friendly and we enjoyed the setting.
Always a good dining experience. You can’t go wrong choosing Crave.
Crave always is great food! The settings and locations are both convenient and fun! I was only disappointed by a reduced menu for the event, but I totally understand. :)
Crave continues to go downhill for me. We arrived 7 minutes before our 6:00 reservation and were told we needed to wait until it was "closer to our reservation time" even though we saw many empty tables (part of my dismay was the hosts attitude - very off-putting). Then a whole line of people got seated. When we did get seated, we were ushered way to the back where it feels like you're in a separate room because its literally sectioned off from the restaurant. By the way, there were about 12 empty tables back there. When I asked why it went down like this, my waitperson sent the manager over who apologized and said we could have free dessert. Before we got our food (which was about 20 minutes later than it should have been - we've been there about an hour at this point) another manager comes over and apologizes for the wait and gives us a $25 gift card. Our food finally arrived (loved the appetizer, entre was marginal - we shared each as our dinner) but never had time for the free dessert. My take is that every time a good restaurant becomes a chain, they go downhill. Too bad!
