Went here for dinner. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. The waitress gave suggestions which I found to be helpful since I mostly do vegetarian options. Everything tasted really good!
Great service and food. Did not care for the high top table, it was to high to be comfortable. Also the temperature was to cool inside considering it is now fall. Felt like air conditioning was running on high.
We had a win server, John, and he did an excellent job of keeping our drinks full while not hovering. I had the signature nachos and my date had the vegan nachos with vegan chicken. She said it was very good. Very enjoyable evening.
Stopped for dinner prior to a show at the Orpheum. Ron was our waiter and was very professional and engaging. We were delighted with his recommendations. The food was excellent. The worked to our schedule for getting to the performance on-time.
When we explained there was a diabetic need for food immediately the server (who adopted our table when the original one assigned was busy) went the extra mile to accommodate us. Then, the manager also checked in to apologize and promise they would take care of us going forward. We explained our new server had been wonderful. Still, it was very professional. We complimented and tipped over 30% as they deserved.
We are regular CRAVE dinners, and thoroughly enjoy the food. Sometimes, they miss the mark on service. This time in particular. We waited over 35 min for a drink order (even though a bottle of wine was served during that window). It seemed apparent that the order wasn't placed. Thank you to the manager for stepping up. We appreciated that. We'll continue to dine at CRAVE. Hopeful this latest experience doesn't become the norm.
We came here for the first time before a show at the Orpheum. We were seated after a short wait but it was just too busy and way too loud. Our food was good but the kitchen was backed up and it took a long time to get our entrees. Our server was apologetic but really they need to book less people so this doesn’t happen. Honestly due to the noise and the wait, I think we will just pick somewhere else next time.
My experience at Crave was much improved over the last time I visited. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was good. I still don't really understand why they have an "event" menu – when is there *not* an event on Hennepin? It would make more sense to just make that the regular menu so you aren't disappointed when something you saw online isn't available. But overall, a good experience.
The restaurant was packed with theater goers. High praise to the servers and the kitchen for serving that many people so quickly and getting everyone out of there in time for the show at The Orpheum. Our meals were delicious, the wine and cocktails were great and our server was wonderful.
Service was terrible.
Great pre-theater restaurant and bar. Excellent service and big menu, something for everyone
Checking in was very rude as we were 15 minutes early. Was told to come back when time that was set- could of just asked us to wait
Poorly run establishment. General manager and hostess have zero critical thinking capabilities. Keep changing their menu for the worst, lower quality all open additional restaurants. Not good
Food was delicious, staff was friendly and we enjoyed the setting.
Always a good dining experience. You can’t go wrong choosing Crave.
Crave always is great food! The settings and locations are both convenient and fun! I was only disappointed by a reduced menu for the event, but I totally understand. :)
Crave continues to go downhill for me. We arrived 7 minutes before our 6:00 reservation and were told we needed to wait until it was "closer to our reservation time" even though we saw many empty tables (part of my dismay was the hosts attitude - very off-putting). Then a whole line of people got seated. When we did get seated, we were ushered way to the back where it feels like you're in a separate room because its literally sectioned off from the restaurant. By the way, there were about 12 empty tables back there. When I asked why it went down like this, my waitperson sent the manager over who apologized and said we could have free dessert. Before we got our food (which was about 20 minutes later than it should have been - we've been there about an hour at this point) another manager comes over and apologizes for the wait and gives us a $25 gift card. Our food finally arrived (loved the appetizer, entre was marginal - we shared each as our dinner) but never had time for the free dessert. My take is that every time a good restaurant becomes a chain, they go downhill. Too bad!
While I really enjoy the food at Crave, it isn't worth the poor service or extremely long wait times. On this most recent visit, the manager offered us a free appetizer because we had been waiting more than 45 minutes for our food, and that was on a Tuesday night at 5:30. Unfortunately, this has been a repeated experience with this location.
I would recommend this place. Food and service and atmosphere were great!
Food was just ok. For the price it should be better. Service was not great. Person who brought the sushi said the wrong dish and gave it then to a person allergic to the dish. Luckily it was immediately recognized as wrong. I ordered a drink and the waiter forgot to bring it. I put in the reservation it was for my sons birthday but they didn’t see the note so didn’t surprise him with the dessert.
fun to sit on rooftop patio overall was a good time
The service Chris gave us was fantastic! We couldn't have asked for any move of him. Food, as always, was excellent. Atmosphere is wonderful.
Great food. Sushi was really good. Good prices. Great service.
Go to the rooftop bar and eat! Also the sushi and the truffle fries are amazing!
It took a while to order food, but overall it was great! I understand it was busy and only one server. Thank you to our server, I believe name Cu. :)
Wonderful happy hour and appetizers along with our dinner before the show. Great service and amazing bartender, manager and our waiter.
Great waitress and yummy food
Drinks are a little pricey. Food was very good but a little pricey for what you got. No Happy Hour specials. :(
We had a reservation...showed up 10 minutes early and sat with NO ONE in front of us standing IN FRONT of the host stand where there was an individual and his manager having a discussion on their own about seating in the restaurant and the host was getting reprimanded...FOR 10 MINUTES IN FRONT OF US prior to anyone greeting us. Once they were done the host looked up and looked annoyed and asked, "can I help you"? Like we were just hanging out for an unknown reason at the host stand in the restaurant. SERIOUSLY? Then he sat us in this BAR section that is adjacent to the public place within the building that is not ideal, not great ambiance, in the aisle to the bathroom AND the table was DIRTY. Then it took an additional 15 MINUTES for a waitress to help us (after I got up and flagged someone down) It was like COME ON. Then they only had an event menu - so nothing that we went there for was being offered. They said they'd make one of the rolls for us...the surf and turf...it was NOT the same surf and turf roll with the truffle oil that MAKES the roll that we had a week prior at the Galleria. So disappointing. Everything took forever and the bill ended up being $70 per person for a few rolls and 2 glasses of wine. Not ideal and way over priced. They were more like an Applebee's restaurant on this night so the prices should reflect that.
It was a busy theater night at Crave. I well understand not to expect perfection, however it took 25 minutes after being seated to be acknowledged at our table and another 10 after that for a waitperson to stop buy. We ordered and then waited for over one half hour for our server to bring our food, but she then realized our appetizers had never arrived. She immediately brought them then. My food was far below the standard I have experienced at Crave before (cold and overall not good). After another 20 minutes of waiting for a check we left and payed at the front check in desk on the way out. Less learned - pre-theater dining outside of downtown before heading to a show.
We were seated on the rooftop. Very noisy with all the construction. Rice with fish tacos was cold.
The food and drinks were excellent and we loved sitting on the rooftop!
Dinner before the “Squeeze” concert
Sat outside on rooftop. Changed tables because of smell.
We arrived and some in our party were eager to take advantage of the 1/2 price sushi on Monday nights. The host asked if we wanted to sit upstairs on the Rooftop or downstairs. We opted for the Rooftop and took the stairs up. The stairway was absolutely filthy. Definitely should have opted for the elevator! Once we were seated (nice views) the server informed us that 1/2 price sushi was restricted to the dining room. He offered to let us move back downstairs but it was too much of a hassle to go back down and not everyone wanted sushi. The host downstairs should have told us about the no sushi special on the roof before we went up there. The food we ordered was very good - ahi poke bowl, burger, California roll, chicken (teriyaki?). The server filled glasses of water and tea when we caught him nearby. But he disappeared or was on the other side of the roof most of the time. His tables seemed very spread out unlike the other servers who seemed to have their tables bunched closer together so they could give more attention. Thus, can’t really blame him too much. Bad management- not clearly informing about the specials, filthy stairwell, poor server table assignment. Good food and a view can’t overcome bad management.
Boring menu. Wait staff didn’t know wine or cocktails. Pasta and rice were both over cooked.
Food was very spicy hot and overly spiced, which I didn’t expect or want. They sat us next to a very loud table and there were a lot of open seats available to seat us somewhere else. The staff was great though.
I have to say I was disappointed with the menu. We eat at Crave in Eden Prairie frequently and I was expecting the same menu. Very scaled down. No build your bowl choice.
Well where to begin, food, outstanding. Server, outstanding. We could of had our waters filled up more frequently and then the bus boy didn't ask if I was done with our app and just took it as I was eating it. It was very rude. Besides that, enjoyable.
Have been here many times with friends, took my coworkers and customers out this time and everyone loved it!
