The evening was awesome. We would have liked a booth (more cozy) but it worked out just fine. Our waiter was the best and made the evening very special. The food was very good. The Seabass was awesome!!!!! The anniversary sweet treat was an added special surprise.Good place to go.
I like it but they took too long to serve us, and we waited too long for our food. They comp'd us for it but then they took forever for the check. Food was really good, just the service was lackluster. The server was great but the planning in the kitchen seemed off. I would go back, but I expect better.
We really enjoyed our gathering for dinner with friends. The waiter was excellent and informative. I did have to return my steak and potatoes as they were cold once arrived. The won't keep me from returning but this type of thing should not happen in this upscale restaurant.
One of my favorite places in Cincinnati! The food is always good and the service is usually better. If something gets messed up, the servers are one step ahead taking care of it without you ever having to ask. The menu offers a lot of options, good for anyone and everyone... crab & artichoke dip is PHENOMENAL. Atmosphere is great. Highly recommend!
Great service. Would have liked a slightly larger salad portion, but good location for lunch meetings.
Food was good but expected; nothing really wowed me. The coffee that was served was instant, as told to us by the server. Charging $3 for instant coffee is not something I will do again. I visited Crave because I had a Groupon. I will not go again unless I have a great reason and/or coupon.
Brunch was very nice. A lot of food for the price, plus a mimosa! The french toast is the best part! We'll be back.
This place has really gone downhill. They were out of beef on a Saturday night! Our waiter was friendly but not efficient. Food took forever to get to our table and it was awful. I no longer have a craving for Crave.
Had sushi. The specialty roll was amazing but the dynamite & spicy salmon rolls were just ok. Tasted fishy. Stir-fry wasn't great either. Would go back & get an entree instead.
We had a spectacular meal and outstanding service. We were made to feel special, even though it was a crowded Saturday night with several large parties. We will definitely be back!
Food was ok. (Chicken parm. and crusted salmon) Started to wonder when two tables around us had sent food back. Waited at least twenty minutes after finishing our appetizer for our meals. Overpriced for the experience we had. Won't be back anytime soon.
This was my second visit to Crave. Much better experience than my first, still think they can do much better.
We had a late lunch at CRAVE and it was delightful. The service was great and the food was well-prepared. The menu has a good variety, so it would be good for groups. The Happy Hour specials were very good values, especially for this area. I definitely would go back.
Had a great time and a wonderful meal...we will def go back
Service was good before the meal and the food and appetizers came out timely (we were in the midst of the Friday dinner rush) but once the food came out our waitress was no where to be found. I would have liked a second drink and we ended up just hunting her down to get our check. All the meals were good but none were fantastic and when you pay 19 dollars for chicken fettucini you expect it to be great. Overall a good experience but the food and service don't quite align with the price so I will be hesitant to return.
My husband and I decided to celebrate my birthday at Crave, where we'd never been before. We made our reservations for Friday at 6:30. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. The bar at this time was clearly the hot place to go for happy hour. It was packed, and pretty loud. It's definitely a hip place to go. When we were seated, our server, Kaylie, greeted us and was extremely attentive throughout our dinner. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She'd find out what we liked and base her recommendation off of our tastes. From our cocktails to sushi to entree to desert, she knew her stuff. The food was amazing - the sushi, the Chilean Seabass, the dessert. We would definitely recommend Crave.
This was my first time to Crave. I was impressed and will definately return! Our server was fantastic. He gave his recommendations and answered our questions with knowledge and care. The "Angry Dragon" was really good too! I will let all my friends know about the great experience I had. See you again soon!
Great service. Interesting menu. Good food. Love the location.
We've been to Crave a few times and each time we ask ourselves why we went back. The bar staff was good, they knew their stuff. When we were seated, we were basically forgotten. By the time we were noticed it was from a manager. It didn't get better from here. Our server was simply bad, she continuously tried to push us to order, you could tell it was a turn and burn mentality. We seem to get this approach from the wait staff each time we go. When we finally did, she came back 3 times to tell us that our selections were no longer available. Overall, the food was ok. Needless to say, our initial questions was answered, we won't be back.
I recently visited the CRAVE-Cincinnati. After hearing countless positive reviews from "FOODIES" I decided to give it a shot for myself. That was a mistake. On Sunday's they have half price appetizers and I ordered the calimari. After ordering the server arrived with a California roll. Honest mistake, I can see and understand how in a noisy environment someone could confuse the order, so no big deal. The server apologized and returned with the calimari order. The calimari was so salty you could not eat it. As main courses my friend order the pumpkin ravioli and I ordered the pizza. The ravioli was cold and could not be eaten. My pizza was very good, thankfully. Management did not seem to care the food and service was subpar!
My party ordered two of the all you can eat brunch special. The food was excellent but we noticed that the server had us sharing a single persons brunch thus they had to keep making unnecessary trips. We has to share 1 cinnamon roll, 4 pieces of bacon,4 small pieces of sausage and a half plate of eggs, etc. And on top of that they never replenished the eggs.
My first experience at Crave was for Subday brunch - it was awesome! I highly recommend it!!
I loved the Brunch. Go early before they get packed. We arrived at 11:30. Everything was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO yummy!!!!
Absolutely LOVED Crave. It was my first time there and I bought a Groupon for the Sunday Brunch option. Everything was fabulous and I would definitely go back!
This was my first time at craVe and I must say it was an awesome experience. We made a reservation, and even though we were about 10 minutes late, we were still seated right away. Our waiter was extremely friendly, and detailed. He explained to us how the Brunch style meal worked and was very attentive to us. The food was awesome, seasoned just right, came out in a timely manner and it was more than enough for us at the table. Brunch is all you can eat, they serve you at your table. The ambiance was wonderful. The lighting is just right and you don't feel out of place here at all. I am already planning my trip back.
We had a party if 22 on Sun, Jan 20, for my husband's 40th birthday & were put in a separate room, which worked great! For the people that ordered off the menu the food was good, but for those of us who got the family style we were dissapointed. Noone said anything at the time, because noone wanted to put a damper on his special day. I have never written a bad review,so I hope this doesn't sound snarky, but the french toast was not cook (at all) in the middle & when we ordered more meat, it came about 1/2 hour later when everyone was done with their breakfast. The family style was fine, but mediocre at best. My husband had the basil pancakes w/short ribs & they were great(so he was none the wiser that the rest of us did not care for our food
I thought it was a good value. Good food, at the right price. For my wife and I, we had 3 coctails, an appetizer and our meals, bill was under $80.
If I could change anything - we felt the menu was limited.
Great location and the service we received was outstanding.
This restaurant has a nice combination of excellent service and a fun relaxed atmosphere. And the food was very good, a lot of flavor and many options to choose from.
CRAVE was a great birthday dinner dining experience. I had been to CRAVE once before for a holiday group lunch, but dinner was even better. The tuna and beef taco appetizers are amazing. I loved the complimentary fruit bowls for the kids. The staff was excellent, very prompt and helpful. We don't make our way downtown very often, but it was well worth the trip from the 'burbs. In the end my wife enjoyed her birthday dinner and cake and that's all that really matters. Thanks CRAVE.
The food was great- we have dined there several times before and have never had a bad meal. However, our service was strange. Our server was attentive but he knew NOTHING about the menu or the food. When we asked about the specials, he said he had not tried any of them and therefore could not recommend anything. Each time we asked about a food item, he reminded us that he does not eat sushi, fish or many other things and therefore-he has not tried anything on the menu. I have never had a server say that he doesn't eat the food where he works. It was strange.
My husband had the sea bass- fabulous. I had the salmon special- also very good.
Had a very disappointing visit to Crave. After hearing good things about it, we found the food mediocre at best and in some cases inedible (stay clear of the salmon). The menu is overpriced which adds insult to injury. The noise level made conversation difficult and we had a table near the kitchen which produced occasional moments of wafting fish smells. On a positive note, the service staff was very attentive through-out the evening and made every attempt to overcome the work being done in the kitchen.
Hugh menu selections. I could cut my chicken with a fork. Cooked perfectly
The food and waitstaff was great, but the front of the house staff was neither very friendly or accommodating.
We went for lunch. Would be a great dinner spot too. Tasty food and very nice presentation. I got the Mahi Mahi tacos. Very, very good. We loved the snazzy but classy decor too and the staff was very attentive. The manager took time to chat with us on our way out and answered our multiple questions about the charity promotion that they do with their menus, which is another feature we found very appealing. Overall very friendly and welcoming.
Great food and great service! We had an "off" experience for lunch about a month ago with cold food, but the meal this time was nearly perfect. Good service as well along with a vibrant scene.
My husband I went out to Crave on a special date night (we don't typically try new restaurants often so this was a special occasion). I love the way the Banks is building up downtown Cincinnati :) There were tvs around the bar that my husband could catch glimpses of one of the playoff games so he was happy. We had the crab and artichoke drip for an appetizer - it was fantistic! He had steak for dinner and I had the Chilean Seabass - it's fantastic! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere helped make our date special!
The food and service were amazing! The only bad thing about our visit was that, even though we had reservations, we were seated at a 2-top table right between 2 large groups. We were pretty uncomfortable throughout our meal. The wait staff was constantly squeezing between tables and bumping into us. We will definitely be back... hopefully we get better seating next time!
I felt like I was in a Cheesecake Factory....like a grown-up cafeteria. The food is better at the CF.
Menu(s) were a dead giveaway from the beginning. Too many choices equals average(at best) food. I asked the waiter what he recommended, and he offered up the two most expensive choices on the menu...which I detest as a suggestion. I don't mind spending $ on good food, but with such a large menu, I had already guessed that the chefs couldn't produce great food from so many selections-so I choose to not go with the high priced offering. I ordered the shrimp po boy with fries. The sandwich was tasteless and boring, the fries were cold. The food did arrive quickly and the service was okay. I noticed the woman at the table not eating her food either, so I don't think the problem was just at
our table. I wouldn't go back, or recommend it anyone
First time to this restaurant. Our server was fantastic...one of the best we have encountered since moving here to Cincinnati 2 years ago. She was pleasant, knew the menu, and her pace of service was perfect. The our entrees were ok but both the pork chop and sea bass were over cooked. The Shrimp and Crab Fritters were wonderful!! The Chicken and Rice Soup and grilled ceasar were also well prepared and very tasty. We ordered the Chocolate cake with raspberry coulis...and got cake with a chocolate base and one underripe strawberry! Our server came to the rescue and we were able to help the chef understand what was on his menu--and she took the cake off the check!! We will be back...but I probably won't have the pork chop next time!
