Instead, imagine bountiful summer salads, grilled farmer’s market vegetables, local fish and meats with all the flavors and originality you have come to expect in your Craigie on Main meals, just shareable. Much like the "Chef's Whim" there will be no choices - just a nod to vegetarians and certain food allergies. Simply put, we are throwing a dinner party outside each night for you and yours! Service was excellent, the food was fine but not as special as our last visit. Felt it could have been better, might have been the menu options on this particular night
We sat at a bar table, had a superb and helpful waitress, and the food and drinks were great. It was a celebration, and the spot couldn't have been better.
My adult son and I dined here on a quiet, near end of winter weekday night. The service was outstanding beginning with the hostess through the final oatmeal cookie treat brought to our table as I signed the check. We enjoyed the server's recommendations for the pate and the squid ink pasta for our first and second courses. The roasted chicken was presented to us on an appropriately-sized platter before it was carved. Everything had a bistro atmosphere to it. The only minor critique was the very, very low lighting to read the menu and wine list. We will be back!
I was visiting Boston and took my son who now lives there. The ambiance is fun, our server was fantastic - the perfect blend of being helpful and giving us our space, and the food was excellent. Craigie On Main never fails to deliver.
Went there for an anniversary dinner. Staff was great, there was a congratulatory note from the chef when we arrived and a candle with our dessert course to celebrate. Food was excellent with complex but well integrated flavor profiles.
Everything we ate was very good. The burgers fantastic and our waiter was able to recommend delicious apps and drinks. Would definitely come back next time we’re in town and would recommend to others visiting.
We sat in the bar which was more casual and laid back. Different more limited menu, but you can also order from the main dining room menu. The burger was amazing and worth the hype!
Food was uninspired, at least for the prix fix menu. Can have a much better and much more interesting meal for equivalent amount in a fun and cool environment elsewhere.
I really wanted to like this place. After seeing relatively good reviews and hearing about the "award winning chef" I expected a great culinary experience. Unfortunately, there was nothing spectacular about the meal. Nothing was bad, but the food was just good rather than exceptional which is what I would expect given the price.

Absolutely loved our time there last night. Food was exceptional, perfectly portioned, and delicious. Server was knowledgeable and even helped us create a wine pairing with every course. Perfect! We will definitely be back.

We came here for the burger as it's reputation was strong. The burger was good, but at $26 per I was hoping/expecting it to be in my top 5 of all time. We're coming from Chicago so it had a lot to live up to, and sadly it did not compare. I wouldn't even say it's in the top 5 burgers I've had in Boston in the past year. It was of good quality meat, it was just a little overly medium rare and was kind of just straight forward. I've heard good things about the rest of their menu, and we also had the brussels sprouts which were really good and the service was excellent, I just wouldn't recommend you rush here and wait in line for their burger. And this doesn't apply to everyone but their beer list wasn't that impressive either. Maybe our expectations were too high, but given Craigie's reputation I think we are being fair in our judgement.
The food was great except the eggplant was too salty for me to eat.
This place is absolutely amazing! Each course was better than the last and the staff was great. Will definitely come back!

I sat at the chef’s counter. Food was fine, but the experience was severely downgraded by the chef screaming at his sous-chefs (and others in the kitchen) throughout the meal, literally feet from me. I won’t be back.

The food was great. The drinks were great. Inexplicably, our server disappeared after the third course so it took a bit to get dessert or drinks or the bill but I assume that was a one-off thing. Generally would recommend this, however.
I sat at the Chef's Counter with a clear line of site into the kitchen. Fascinating. I now have a deeper respect for what the 'back of the house' does - the chefs, sous chefs, and runners. It was GREAT fun to watch my dinner being made by and then handed to me by one of the chefs. The food was terrific - I had the smoked trout appetizer, the faro pasta 1st course, and the Delicata squash entree. Wonderful.
We had a super dinner in the bar....the Craigie Burger with their recommended red wine. Perfect. Nice buzz in the room and fabulous service. Loved our waiter...
The food in this restaurant is able to balance delectability with creativity like very very few can.
Birthday dinner for my boyfriend. I enjoyed the special touch of a birthday card with his name handwritten on there. The food was all amazing - our favorites were the burger and the smelts.
Craigie on Main was a delicious experience. However, I was disappointed that the burger was not available in the main dining room. It was the one thing I was looking forward to trying.

My husband and I were visiting Boston and Craigie on Main came up on a Google search for good tasting menus. Upon further research I realized that the "Chef's Whim" tasting sounded fun and adventurous so we ended up making a reservation for that. It was so delicious, fun and interesting! We were lucky enough to sit at the kitchen bar where we saw all the magic happen. I would definitely recommend Craigie on Main and if you're able to - do the Chef's Whim Tasting!
Been too long since I’ve last been. Craigie on Main still one of The best Every course was amazing. Service was friendly, professional and timely. Need get back sooner. Chef Maws and his team are among the best in the city.
Always an adventure -- ingredients may be off the beaten track, spice mix pairings may be unconventional or you might not have heard of some of the wines, but the end result is most often a very worthwhile treat.
New Year’s Day brunch at Craigie has become a tradition. The only disappointment was that they didn’t have the donut this year
