Haven't been here in years, happy to see they haven't lost the magic. Top quality experience across the board. Every bite was tasty, servers were knowledgeable, attentive and friendly without being overbearing or pretentious, and the portions were sized small enough to allow a taste of many things. I do wish there were more options for vegetarians.
Great experience and valet parking a big plus. I do wish Craigie offered more fish options.
Visited restaurant with my son and his girlfriend. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We split a whole chicken which was moist and delicious. We took home more than we ate. My son had the venison special which was also delicious. The waiter was fun and available. Unfortunately we sat in the bar area because it was the only table available so there was a bar vibe and noise. But that didn’t detract from the food.
Excellent food, My 4th visit to Craigie on Main . This time did blind tasting menu with pairings, Recommend you review menu to make sure you like all your choices.
We split the pigs head for two, it was served Peking Duck style and was delicious. Sommelier recommendation for a Riesling paired very nicely.
Craigie is absolutely the most divine dining experience in the northeast - sophisticated yet warm and inviting. The wine list is impeccably picked.
The first time we came to Craigie on Main we loved it. Food was excellent and service impeccable. No longer the case. Food was uneven in quality - several dishes were over salted. Service was slow - they tried but it could have been better. We arrived at 6 and did not get out till 8:45... a long time to sit. I ordered the dessert with the dessert wine but never got it. They made the wrong drink so I suggested they leave it instead of throw it out and we were charged for it anyway. One person in our party wanted a red wine yet our waiter, though he seem to try, kept bringing selections that no where near matched what was requested. For the money, not what we expected.
The dining experience was wondering we went for our anniversary and they had a special sign at our table wishing us a happy anniversary. The service and food was amazing!!
I was at Craigie on Main for a birthday celebration. We had a great experience, the food was delicious, the ingredients were adventurous, and the wine was perfectly matched.
In a category of their own for service and quality. Fantastic experience.
We celebrated my husband's birthday at Craigie on Main. The food was amazing, each dish with delicious ingredients uniquely prepared. The service was so attentive it was almost disruptive, but we did not feel rushed and meal as well paced.
AC was blasting making it very cold and it was very expensive. Otherwise food was good and service excellent.
Craigie on Main is my wife’s and my favorite spot in Boston to eat. Chef Tony really does it ALL correctly. He just does thing the right way, everything. All the details. The best!
I still love this restaurant. But the tasting menu was what made me LOVE this restaurant, and they no longer offer it. I'll go back a lot less often as a result, which makes me sad.
Great atmosphere and food. Open kitchen, home-style vibes but fine food. The portions are quite large so this isn´t your standard tweezer / Chef´s Table affair. But the food is excellent! A group of four, we ordered the pig head, whole chicken, and several starters and it was waaaaay to much for us. Go for sharing options and enjoy!
Amazing 6-course chef's tasting with wine pairings. We raved about each dish - the blend of flavors, the presentation, the careful pairing with the wine. Really impressed. Will be back.
Amazing as always...
Great food and wine. Great service. The staff is always friendly and knows their craft. I live far away but my first stop is always Craigie on Main when I go to Boston.
Delightful! I've dined here once before and took my boyfriend for his birthday. It was wonderful! There was a birthday greeting card from the chef on the table and the service was attentive, knowledgeable and fun. The four course menu was delicious, the food inventive and fresh. Perfect for an intimate special night. Keep up the great work!
This was our second time eating here and just like the first, the food was outstanding! Although expensive, you never leave feeling like it wasn’t worth every penny. The range and pairing of ingredients makes for the incredible tastes you’ll experience and may lead to you trying something you might not normally try. If your goal is to find a place with delicious food look no further.
Fantastic experience across the board. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming. The service is top notch and clearly a team effort at every level. Started with a cocktail, The Last Mango in Paris, which was delightful. We tried a wide variety of dishes and there was something for everyone to love.
Service was terrible. Long waits between courses and took forever to get a second glass of wine — even after we finally ordered it. I would be hard pressed to tell anyone to go there, despite the fact the food was excellent.
Great all around experience. Can’t wait to go back
It’s a rare night a group of good friends can get together for a burger and a drink or two and have the service support rather than interfere with the meal. Craigie’s service is excellent without being pretentious. The Craigie staff may make the best Sazerac outside New Orleans. The only drawback is the seating. The old leather seats were glorious and were a better choice aesthetically. These new high top tables could have been designed by the Jesuits for the Inquisition.
This restaurant is really on top of its game. I had to make several changes in advance of my reservation and they were pleasant and got back to me and made it work. The evening was perfect, we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal and the food and service were excellent. The service is professional, but not in your face at all. I really appreciated the waiter's help with choosing a wine. We had a wonderful time! Thank you!
Service was a bit slow to seat us. Had to wait 30 mins after our reservation time even though place was not full
Easter brunch - Craigie is always solid. No valet was unexpected and inconvenient given the holiday - took forever to park. Should have just Uber’d.
Amazing amazing burger!!
Food tries to be too hip and in fact is just ho hum.
Craigie never fails to impress. We love their whim dinners on Sunday nights for their constant play on tried and true dishes and the sheer inventiveness of stuff we've never seen before.
This is not the same resturant it once was. Dinner included the toughest Wagu sirloin I've ever had, sous vide or not. All and all, feels like a budget-version of what Craigie once was. My wife and I were saddened. With the chef's tasting menu no longer available, we're unlikely to return any time soon for date-night, out of town guests or for professional recruiting purposes - all things we used to rely on Craigie for.
Service are awesome! Stuff notice everything quickly, pour water, clean dirty dishes, we had great hospitality service:
They gave us complementary fish dish from chef, very nice! And they did a cake with candle for my husband birthday celebration.
The whole experience was fantastic. From drinks at the bar before our reservation, to the service, to the 4 course dining experience. If you're going to craigie on main you know you're spending some money. This experience isn't cheap in any way. But it's a beautiful night out for a special occasion
The food was good but the portions were so small and the price was outrageous. I would not go back.
Food was very average and portions were extremely small. Overall not a great value for your money
Last minute booking on a Friday evening - sat in the bar and grabbed a few quick bites. Food was excellent, blending interesting and unusual flavours. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable- good recommendations on the wine.
Sunday night tasting menu was remarkable and very economical. Our server Max was great!
Phenomenal as always
